Went great. We have a standard ranch style home so the roof is a traditional open gable. Robert was very accommodating and patient with us while we planned the roof replacement. He was responsive to all our questions and efficient in getting the roof replaced as well as replacing the rakes on the side of the home. He provided all the relevant documentation required for the roof warranty and I would certainly recommend him to anyone looking to replace their roof.

Robert was great. He and his team showed up early and finished the roof very quickly. Afterwords, they cleaned the entire yard and you couldn't even tell they were there.

The B & R team was a pleasure to work with through the whole process, from quote to paying after the job was done. We had heard water dripping onto a ceiling on our second floor during a heavy storm, and called several roofers for quotes. Five different companies came out, two of which wanted to replace the whole roof, and three that said it should just be repaired. During that process, several of the companies mentioned that our chimney needed repointing as well, so we added that to the job. Robert Jr. came out for B & R on a Monday after I had spoken with them on a Friday, and I had detailed quotes in my email that night for the work. They were quick to respond to questions by email, text, and phone. Once I got them the signed contract, they were in touch within the week to get the work scheduled, and had their mason and roofing team on site two weeks after I had gotten them the contract. A day and a half later, I had a beautifully repointed chimney with a cap, rotted wood around the base of the chimney replaced, perfect flashing, and a roof that no longer leaks at all. The team kept me informed throughout the process, letting me know about any issues they encountered and keeping me posted on their timelines. After they were done, they cleaned up the site completely (and even cleaned up the leaves and sticks that were in the driveway from a recent storm). The final price came in just slightly over the original quote because they had to replace more wood than they were originally expecting around the base of the chimney - it took more materials and more time than what was covered under the original estimate, but only cost a little more than the quote. All in all a great process, and I'd highly recommend Robert Jr. and the team at B & R for any roofing or chimney related work that you need.

I ended up going with someone else for the work. They went out of their way to get things done quickly. I had another roofer that gave me a quote that I had more experience with so I went with him, but I was favorable impressed by B & R. Their price was lower than the other estimates. They gave a pretty good estimate. They were very responsive.

Robert was very courteous and easy to work with he explained what need to be done while making adjustments working with the weather and kept to schedule. We are very happy with the wonderful job he and his team did removing 2 layers of shingles and re-roofing with White Birch Energy Star shingles that looks beautiful ! and the great cleanup job around the yard and dumpster removal. I would highly recommend B&R for their professional services.

Another roofer apparently attempted to frighten us into a full roof replacement. Robert told us we could squeeze a few more years out of our existing roof. You can't beat that level of honesty. He was highly knowledgeable and talked through our concerns. Very professional. He has our future business and we'll happily recommend him to friends in the area.

Due to a leaking third-floor gutter, ice was forming on the sidewalk below -- creating a safety problem for the tenants. As the landlord of this three-tenement house, I called B & R Home Improvement and spoke with Bob StPierre. He cleaned the downspout and sealed the gutter to fix the problem. I now plan to have him do more work for me, as Bob is great to work with. I highly recommend him and his company.

We are very pleased with the work Robert and his crew did. From start to finish he was easy to communicate with and answered all our questions in a clear manner. His quote was the lowest of 3 we received and although that wasn't the sole deciding factor, it certainly didn't hurt! On the first day, the crew arrived exactly on time and got right to work. One guy was assigned to clean up duty and kept our yard as neat as possible. Everyone was very polite. The old roof was a tear-off and luckily there were no structural issues, so our original estimate was what we paid. We feel that it was a very fair price and would recommend B&R.

Found about 15 nail pops. They put adhesive on backs of shingles, then nailed shingle back in, covered nail head with caulk. They resealed around all pipe collars, vents, and plashing around chimney. Went into attic and checked for leaks to interior. Provided observations about condition of waterproof membrane / felt paper beneath shingles, as they could observe and provided verbal recommendations. I was happy with the courtesy, professionalism of workers.

After purchased the "deal", was contacted by the provider within 24 hours. However, I was told the provider was overbooked and cannot meet with a desirable timeline. When I asked the provider to provide a new timeline to meet, I didn't hear back from him. After a week, the guy showed up on the weekend without notice. He put up the ladder and examined the roof. Hammered down few loose nails and was done within an hour. I feel $169 for less an hour service was not really a deal. A week after I noticed the same provider, same service ad on the site. This time, price was dropped to $129. I don't think I would purchase any of the "deals" that Angie's List advertise ever again. In fact, I'd advice others not to buy in any of the deals from the site.

B & R contacted me promptly after the initial contact via Angie's list. We had a couple of conversations over the phone about the job followed by an inspection of the problem and a prompt phone call with estimate for two repair options. Bob suggested that I go with the lesser expensive option and said that he would only advise me if he was confident it would solve the problem. The work was completed in less time than anticipated. The job was prepped, completed, and the property was completely cleaned to my great satisfaction. I contacted 5 contractors for this job. One over said the job was too small and I never heard back from the others. B & R is the only company that followed through. I am extremely please with the service and the work and I would not hesitate to contact them again in the future. I own rental property and maintain my Mother's house. I feel that I have finally found a competent and reliable company to handle my needs for all three houses.

If possible I would have provided B&R Home Improvement with an A+. Bob and Robert Jr provided outstanding customer service, they were friendly, professional, honest and took time to answer all of our questions regarding the roof replacement and what needed to be done. They educated us on the options for roofing shingles and made some quality recommendations based on the house style and color. Bob and Robert Jr and team were on site working for two days, they were efficient, focused on getting all the work done, at the end of each day, they cleaned up thoroughly, they protected our plants and when the job was done left the garden and yard looking as it did prior to their arrival. Plus they did a quality job on the new roof and it looks terrific. I would highly recommend B&R Home Improvement for any roof replacement needs. For our future roofing needs we will contact B&R Home Improvement again!

Update: 7/27/15: After reflection, I figured I was harsher than is called for! Perhaps, he didn't convey clearly that he did make some repairs. More time on site to deliver value; perhaps they don't get paid much of the voucher, and better communication can be helpful. === B&R improvement was quite easy to work with in scheduling a visit. The only problem was that it turned out to be a roof inspection and a quotation for the whole roof replacement. But, the voucher I bought is meant for repairs. Apparently, a part of small part of the roof needs attention soon; while the rest might last a few years; considering that it is 19 years into its 30 year life. The voucher included a number of repair items and I felt that it didn't serve the intended purpose. If I was looking for quotation for roof replacement, perhaps I could have gotten that free from any roofer. Remember I am not judging the roof replacement quotation from B&R Home Improvement; but rather that I didn't get what I was expecting for the voucher.

At the time of estimate, Rob told me all of the flashing around the chimney would need to be replaced. When he arrived to do the job, however, he discovered that it only had to be done on one side. He called me, explained the situation, and cut the estimate in half. He could easily have charged me the full amount and I'd not have known, but didn't. The leak that was there is now gone and I saved $250 thanks to his honesty. I would definitely use this company again.

They were great. They did the repairs promptly (although I was anticipating a wait period--lot of roofs need help after this winter). They reset and renailed all the sliding shingles, sealed around the chimneys, reshingled at the dormers, repaired/re-did the flashing, and reshingled at the top row. Great job.

After a misunderstanding of a big deal email Angie's List charged me $169 rather than the $149. The service provider did not want to swap out the extra $20. Upon arrival, he had a better price for me. He would refund the $169 and then only charge $100. I thought that was more than fair. Now, I am excitedly waiting an additional quote within a week for additional work. This service provider is much different from your normal service provider and has great people skills.

Robert was very knowledgable about roofs and took his time assessing the problems. Went well above and beyond what I expected. Checked out my crawl space for damage and repaired missing shingles and patched up around chimney and vents. He also fixed the few drain pipes that were loose, something he didn't have to do but was kind enough to fix. He spent a lot of time on the roof and at my home, I definitely got my money's worth! I am now considering a new roof and would hire Robert and his company to do this work. I really trusted him and believe he would do a great job with this. I would recommend him for any work you need, very professional!!!

Bob and his associate were knowledgeable and professional. Spent about an hour on the roof and made a few very minor repairs. In the absence of any real issues, it is hard for me to judge whether the $149 was money well spent or render a judgement about the quality of the minor fixes. Hence the B rating for price and quality. I do have more peace of mind that my roof is in good shape and had survived the brutal winter. Based on this one experience, I would call B&R in the future, and would recommend them to others...

I found them to be excellent, the best. And then I actually had them come back and take some off my deck because they had to throw the snow off the roof and it landed on the deck. But it wasn't their fault, it was just the way it was. They were very good. I would use them any other time. I spent a couple of hundred more.There wasn't anything I didn't like about them.

I purchased a deal with the provider for a roof maintenance package at the beginning of March, I initially reached out to them on the website to provide the dates I could do the service. I specified early April, the provider responded saying they could do it the weekend after I purchased and I was unable to complete the work at that time. The gentleman explained that they were backed up the next couple weeks, so we agreed on a date in early April, but a few days before the appointment the provider called to postpone due to weather. It turned out to be fair weather the day of the work but they never contacted me. I sent them a message asking if we could schedule to following Saturday, the provider had not responded after a week so I decided to move forward with another company.

I called my 93 year old Aunt's insurance company because water was pouring through the fallen ceiling in her bedroom. The insurance company told me; "we cannot refer you to the people we usually refer our customers to because they are overwhelmed and asked us to stop referring people. Just find someone." Every company was busy and this was not as big a job as many, but it was a disaster for her. I went to AngiesLIst and there was a coupon deal for $99 for 2 hours. I thought I would be the last on the list and/or they would find some reason to charge extra. They were Johnny-On-the-Spot! They arrived at the time they promised, were quick, did not damage anything and did not charge me any extra. It saved the inside of her house. Pretty great for an elderly woman with little income!
