My grown son had installed a sump pump in our basement. (We had never needed one before. It was after the town installed storm sewers under our street that our basement, for some reason, flooded to three or four inches deep.) Now we wanted to have the sump-pump drain hooked up to the storm sewer under the street. We didn't know in which service category on Angie's List to look - excavation? plumbing? handyman? or ? I had noticed that A2Z Renovations was nearby and had many good reviews on Angie's List.. So after finding no business that specifically mentioned doing the work we needed done, I called Richard called back the day I had called and said that he thought that they could do the job. He came on time to our appointment 2 days later. He and my husband looked at and discussed our situation. Richard advised us that a simpler, easier solution would be to have the sump pump drain into a dry-well in the yard. He knew that quite a bit of red-tape, time, and expense (for permits, excavation, etc.) is involved in meeting with town officials and getting approvals. We appreciated his knowledge and advice.! We are taking Rich's advice. We will connect the sump-pump drain o a dry-well already in our yard. This will be simple, and we can do the work ourselves. Richard strikes us as being well-informed, smart (an engineer!), practical, easy to work with, determined to make his customers happy, and professional ((returning calls and emails promptly, arriving on time, arranging to do the work as soon as possible). We will remember him when we need other jobs done.

It was was an excellent experience. He had done some flashing int he past and then called during a storm to check in on the flashing six months later.

Richard was a lifesaver,he some how fit me into a very busy schedule and got the job done when he said it would be done. Not only was my two floor addition sheetrocked,tapped,mud and ready to paint in no time,but it was all high quality work. Richard has a Great Crew and are truely experienced and proffesional. He is a rareity in the field and would highly recommend him to all.

The overall experience was first rate. On time, on budget, professional and pleasant. No complaints AT ALL! Fabulous end product with which we are very happy. They offered advice along the way which was much appreciated. Over the last couple of years we've had them do a number of smaller projects around the house (construction on the front porch and steps) and all were handled with the same professionalism. Their tag line is "no job too small" and they stand by that. Our mailbox collapsed and I called them to purchase a new post and install it a.s.a.p. They did it THAT day! Our mail man was happy, and so are we. I can't thank them enough.

Make no bones about it, Rich is expensive. His work ethic is extremly professional and quality minded. He made sure everything was done by the book. That was especially important to me because of making this basement apart of the house which could be used in the future as a in law apartment or a rental. The work was well thought out and executed, our change of orders where met with understanding of cost and time it would take to accomplish. Rich was very thoughtful of our needs and time constraint. He helped with insurance issues , zoning issues. He made me understand about the extra engineering involved with the enormous windows we where putting in the basement to let in the most natural light but also to be legal egresses. Having a bathroom below grade was also a issue all to itself, but rich and his plumbing crew offered all possibilities and allowed me to make the best decision. We ended up tearing up the floor so we could use normal toilets and vanities, a little bit more expensive but it would be less trouble down the road if anything would happen to the pump system. In the end we added 1200 sq ft to our home. We added 2 bedrooms a living room and a full bathroom. the natural light that comes into our basement make us feel like we are upstairs. My wife uses on of the bedrooms as an office for now. Everything is sheet rocked it all looks fabulous even the flooring look awesome.

Rich Bonvegna and his A2Z crew fully renovated a different part of our house last year (see older review w/ photos) so we were very familiar with his expert work and helpful guidance, and had already consulted and started planning this year's work with him.He researched our deed and zoning restrictions and obtained all needed permits, surveys and engineering plans. He and his crew were always available for and responsive to questions and updates, often emailing us with photos from the site, so we could OK his go-ahead on unexpected problems like insect infestation and rot, and adjust our plans as work proceeded.Rich and crew are very helpful about making suggestions and presenting options; for example, relkocating access to storage in the attic from one end of the house to the other to allow a cathedral ceiling in the new bedroom. They were attentive to our concerns and needs, totally accommodating about our making some changes and additional improvements along the way, and were diligent about making sure we were pleased with the results. Which we are, very much so.We look forward to having A2Z replace our aging deck as well as make some other improvements next year.

Someone threw a rock through our kitchen window while we were out of town. I searched Angie's List for a suitable solution, as we need it fixed while we are gone. Rich had great reviews, so I called him. It was pretty late at night, but he was at our house very early the next morning, looking things over with our neighbor. He showed our neighbor how to take the window out and replace it, so that it would save us money. He obviously didn't have to do that, and basically gave away a paying job just because he was honest enough to tell us how best to solve the problem. He's won my loyalty for the long term, and I'll recommend him to my friends and neighbors.

Richard Bonvegna, owner of a2z, came to the house with his electrician, Erik Silvia. In an effort to save us money, Richard recommended we deal directly with the electrician rather than have a2z subcontract the work. I appreciate this very much and commend Richard for his showing concern for my welfare. Richard and Erik were professional and displayed a great degree of outstanding customer service. They were thorough and courteous. Thank you both for a great initial meeting and a great first impression. Richard stayed and helped wit the estimate even though he was turning the job over to Erik. This was very thoughtful of him. Most others would probably have left after the introductions. I have faith after this meeting that the job will be done efficiently and correctly.

I highly recommend A2Z Renovations for their quality work,reliablity, and professionalism. Very pleased with the way they maintained cleanliness of the work area . The staff would call before arriving at my home and showed up on time. I can't say enough about how polite and considerate they were. I was given their name by a family member who was extremely satisfied with their work. I would definitely call them again.

I have used him for five years. He does all the maintenance on my rental property. He is superb. He will refer me to someone else if he cannot do a job. He is unquestionably honest. He is the epitome of professionalism.

They were extraordinarily wonderful. Efficient, on time, skilled, helpful, friendly and accommodating. Chris Richard, who did most of the work was wonderful on all counts. On budget and no surprises!

He was very punctual, provided accurate estimates and was very willing to work with us to get the results we wanted. His crew was in and out without any interference to our schedules and cleaned everything up at the end of each work day. After all the construction and patching, you could never tell the offending wall and wiring was even there. Great experience!

Estimate was made about a month ahead before work began. All the workers and subcontractors were top notch and supported tub supported tub professional. Extra and creative effort was put into to solving potential future damage [re-supporting tub]. All in all I was very pleased with the job and the price was fair. I would not hesitate to recommend this company, they were excellent.

Workman arrived promptly, spent about 4 hours with excellent results.

Work extremely well done and in a timely fashion. Rich and his employees worked extra hard to accomplish the job while I was on travel for several days and it was complete upon my return. Rich is very accommodating and will work with you to find a time that will fit your schedule. Estimate for repairs was also accurate. I am very pleased with the end result and with the overall experience and would use him again for future jobs.

We waited a bit for the windows to arrive but once they did Rich and team had them installed quickly. The tenants reported Rich did a great job and were minimally inconvenienced. As long distant homeowners, we appreciate Rich's hard work and honest nature.

It went very well. The owner, Richard, came quickly for the estimate and scheduled the repair promptly. I did not receive any other estimates so it is difficult to comment on the price above. The two workmen, Chris and Justin were professional in actions and appearance. They were willing to explain what they were doing to correct the leaks and showed me why the previous flashing resulted in leaks. The owner dropped by periodically and was easily available by phone and email.

I got in touch with Rich through his website and he promptly got back to me and we decided on a day for him to come over and talk about the things that i wanted to get done. He was over on the day and time that he promised and spent about an hour with my wife and myself talking about what the project would entail. The actual work was done by Justin Katz who I think did a great job. He was on time, courteous, cleaned up after himself and was very professional....... and he took the time to answer my questions when i had them. I think the work he did was very good and would ask to have him again as the carpenter working on my next project. Overall, i had a great experience with A2Z and would definitely use them again. Mr. Bonvegna and his crew from A2Z were a pleasure to work with. Rich came over several times and helped us work through the different selections for cabinet, flooring, and countertops and then developed a detailed contract so there were no worries with what the costs were. Rich's crew was polite and friendly, and the no swearing policy that they have made it a pleasure to have them in the house with our young children. Rich always either answered the phone immediately or promptly responded back. His cost estimates were good and made it very clear any time we asked for additional items that weren't covered. Each day the crew cleaned up and made sure that nothing was left out that could be a problem with our family. He was truly a pleasure to work with.

This was the best experience we have ever had with a contractor. Rich has weekly meetings that help keep us informed during the entire process. The whole process was very well planned and organized. I would highly recommend A2Z, Rich cares about his customers and the quality of the work.

We worked with Rich Bonvegna and found him to be very thoughtful in his planning, thorough in the work and responsive. The work involved a number of different repair projects around the house, and they were capable in wide range of jobs that we needed. Rich has an engineer's approach reflected in sound quality work. The work also involved taking plans before Historic Commission which he handled well on our behalf. We are very pleased with the results.

Most of the work was done by Justin Katz who did a superb job. When the tiling company left us without toilet facilities for 24 hrs. Rich Bonvegna, the owner of a2z renovations got us a porta-potty on an emergency basis. He was great.
