+ -1 moreZompa plumbing came an hooked up my kitchen under-mount sink after I had new granite countertops installed. It turned out to be a very complicated process as the new sink was much lower than the original and all the plumbing underneath needed to be replace along with the garbage disposal moved to the opposite sink. Mike Zompa explained all my options and we agreed on the best solution. He was on time, allowing me to not be without a kitchen sink for long! The previous plumbing from 20 years ago had pitch issues which he fixed and now it works great.

Description of Work: I had a leak from the upstairs shower (stall shower). One plumber suggested that the pan underneath the shower was cracked. The repair would require ripping out the tile on the floor and part way up the sides of the shower. After the pan was fixed, the shower would have to be retiled. This was going to be very expensive. I called Zompa to get a second opinion. He actually did a test. We plugged the drain in the shower. We let it fill with about 3 or 4 inches of water. We went downstairs and had a cup of coffee, waiting to see if the leak occurred. It did not. So Zompa deduced that the leak was in the grout on the sides of the shower. I called a tiler (not an employee of Zompa's), who regrouted the shower for a couple of hundred dollars. Since then - no more leaks! I like it that Zompa actually tried testing something before declaring what the problem was. Note: This work was ten years ago. The shower is still going strong, though I did have to reseal the grout once.

+ -1 more2002 Burnham Series 2 Gas Boiler On October 8, 2009, the owner of Zompa arrived with a gentleman who was not employed with Zompa Plumbing & Heating. Zompa?s friend was to clean my furnace. Let?s call him ?Peter?. The owner stated over and over again if ?Joe? could clean a furnace than Peter could do it. The owner spent 15 minutes giving instruction on ?How to Clean a Furnace?. As the owner left my home, he said, ?Peter call me if he had any questions, I?ll be home on the couch.? I noticed in November that water was leaking from a pipe. When the Burnham Boiler didn?t work, I called another company. Because the cleaning, the boiler need most pieces replaced. Receipt # 865061
Description of Work: 2002 Burnham Series 2 Gas Boiler Zompa Plumbing & Heating installed the gas heating system on my home & has serviced / cleaned it for me every other year. In he past, the heating technician had always been polite and seemed to do a good job.

+ -1 moreHe came in looked at switches and relays, with no testing equipment, decided swithces were fine. Next he wanted to turn the furnace on, even though he had just examined the firebox at which point he should have realized that the pilot light was not yet lit. I had to provide a lighter to get it going. He left promising info and prices on parts and have not heard from him yet.
Description of Work: Wanted a furnace tuneup, and to have the furnace ready for heating season. what was done was an overall "exam" on the furnace.

+ -1 moreI have used them before and they didn't fix the problem and to come out again they wanted to be paid again so I called someone else. I didn't use him in eight or ten years and I needed some work done so I thought that I would use them. The office manager told me they would be here on Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. so we waited at home ALL day and no one showed so we waited for a follow up call and still no one called.
Description of Work: They were supposed to come to our house to put in some general plumbing.

+ -1 moreTHEY WERE VERY EXPERIENCED AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY WERE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO SCRATCH THE SURFACE OF THE SINK. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB, AND WE HAVE RECOMMEND THEM TO LOTS OF PEOPLE ALREADY.
Description of Work: THE SINK IN THE KITCHEN WAS PLUGGED, SO THEY RAN THE SNAKE DOWN THE SEWER LINE TO THE BASEMENT.
