Uncle Wayne’s Ceramic Tile and Stone

Extremely well! He has an excellent design sense, and he listened carefully to my requests. He built two bathrooms from scratch for me and remodeled two. The tile work is exquisite. His attention to detail is top notch. I recommend him highly.

Wayne did another excellent job. This is probably the 7th or 8th time I have used Wayne because he is nice, honest, and does really good work. I never have to worry about being ripped off as I do with the big companies. He replaced 2 faucets and gave me great advice on getting higher quality replacements.

I originally thought I was going to need the exhaust fan in my bathroom replaced. Wayne was able to fix my exhaust fan rather than replace it, which saved me money. He was very responsive in our communications back and forth and gave me a clear understanding of what was going on with the job. It’s always good to know an honest handyman! I would definitely recommend him to others.

The job took much longer than anticipated. About a month went by between the initial visit and when the job started. An estimate wasn't provided upon request and it was explained that the work was paid hourly and we would see how it progressed. The work was satisfactory but kind of sloppy (paint drops and specks found around the hardwood floor around the area that was painted, paint drops on granite pavers outside). The painting job of the doors had to be completely redone because the wrong paint was used. We bought the wrong paint but were surprised that he, as the professional, didn't know that it was the wrong paint until it started peeling. The re-do of the painting ended up having the job cost much more because of the extra hours billed. We were expecting better quality overall, so that is why we are grading it as a "C" (fair).

Uncle Wayne provided us with great service: timely communications, responsive to our scheduling needs, personable, thoughtful and organized, resolved several issues with the fan unit itself and vent installation (thru the wall to the house exterior), which we were very happy about. He also went beyond our expectations by working late to complete the job in one visit. He had some difficulting performing the final vent ductwork, which he indicated during the job that it was not his strong suit. We would hire him again depending on the work that needed done.

Excellent! I have been using Uncle Wayne for 4 years. He did some work in an apartment, hung pictures, when I first moved to RI. When I moved into a house, I called him again and he straightened out a few electrical issues. He assembled and installed a bathroom vanity and created shelves in a closet. Wayne is reliable, reasonably priced and finishes projects. I highly recommend Uncle Wayne!

Wayne came by to look at the problem areas and figure out how big of a problem it was. Luckily he didn't find any issues with the subfloor, so he was able to scrape the already crumbling grout out and replace it, being careful to color match it to the existing work. He was even able to do it without damaging any of the tiles.

He arrived the day before her big birthday party and did them all: fixed the doors on kitchen cabinets and drawers, repaired the runner for the trash receptacle, and restored a wobbly computer table that was about to collapse.

Uncle Wayne has done a great job at every project he's helped us with. He's also very good at letting us know his schedule and when we could expect him. From plumbing to repairing ceiling/wall damage to fixing minor things we didn't even notice, he's an experienced and skilled jack of all trades.

Uncle Wayne repaired the ceiling and two walls after minor water damage, as well as addressed several small plumbing projects in the house. Though he was working on larger projects with several other clients, he made time in the evenings to get our work done. He is friendly and very knowledgeable about numerous areas, and we will certainly call him again if we have other projects.

I' ve had Wayne do renovation work, tiling, etc. on Kitchen and Bathroom. He is highly skilled and does superb work. Most importantly, he is a lovely person with a great attitude and the highest work ethic. You'll be lucky if you have him do work for you.
