Description of Work: Tim Smith has repaired the slate roofs on several outbuildings on my property numerous times over the last 14 years. The buildings are 100+ years old and yearly repairs/maintenance are normal and Tim Smith has responded whenever I called. Although I wish the repairs cost less--his prices have always been competitive. Thanks Tim

Description of Work: Placed four calls to Tim Smith Slate Roof Repair over a period of 4 weeks in September and October, leaving voicemails with my contact information on each occasion, but never received any return call.

Description of Work: I contacted Mr. Smith to review the condition of my homes slate roof. He worked on this roof approx 4 years ago and did a wonderful job. I wondered if time would change the excellent service. I found that he and his son are still providing excellent roofing services. Slate installation and repair is truly an art and they certainly are true mechanics when it comes to slate. They arrived on time, and after consulting with me as to my concerns, they went right to work. I had discovered a water stain and mold buildup on a closet wall. They found some broken slates which caused water to run down the wall creating the staining and mold. They cleaned the gutters and checked the flashing around the vents and chimney. I needed only five slates replaced and the rest of the roof was fine for another season. They took the time to caulk between my siding and my brick chimney and they sealed up an area that could let in a draft, insects and moisture. All in all they did a fantastic joy, they cleaned up afterword and were very professional and polite. I highly recommend this company and will use them in the future for carpentry work at my home. I gave them an "A" and they certainly deserve it.
