POOL NATION

We Drove all over the Pittsburgh area looking for Hot Tubs. We made it up to the Swimming Pool Discounters Store in Zelienople and Talked With Rob. We did a lot of research on exactly what we wanted, he did not waste our time showing us items that did not interest us or try talking us into products that we did not want. Rob was very professional and showed us the features of what he had in stock. He was not high pressure and told us the pros and cons of different types of tubs. We walked away the first day but after visiting the home show and doing a ton more research we decided that he offered the best product for our needs. I have to admit I was leary about purchasing from this store due to other reviews on here. He offered us a chance and even encouraged us to wet test the tub. We drove up, wet tested and signed the paper work . We had to delay delivery because we had to have our concrete pad and electric installed. After having to reschedule the delivery multiple times (due to delays caused by the weather and having concrete poured - not related to swimming pool discounters). Our spa arrived on time and without delay. The contracter that Rob had recommended did an outstanding job of delivery - was very careful and hooked everything up right the first time - no problems. After we filled it we noticed that the lights were not working on the spa. We contacted Rob who was very responsive and got the parts ordered in quickly and had the installer contact us to come out and fix the problem. The installer, who was the same person who originally installed the tub, got the problem fixed correctly the first time out. Overall I would Highly recommend my experience here. Rob was Professional, Responsive and Gave us the Very Best Price around. He promptly took care of our warranty claim - I dont know what else I could ask for. Just to verify that the price i was getting was good I contacted another dealer and I tried to see if they would match his price on the exact same hot tub with the same features, They said that they would not sell us the same spa for that price - not even close.

I was promised (by Dale) the installation date and make it very clear that if I could not get the pool installed by this date I was not interested in purcahsing the pool. Dale assured me this woud happen (weather permitting of course). Needless to say, the day came and went, with multiple phone calls daily which were all ignored. I refund was not an option because I paid already. I finally got a 3rd party installer to call me weeks later and gave me the 1 day he could do it and said he often heard the same thing from other customers, but that Dale had my and I had no choice. Dale and his family own and operate many pools places in the Pgh area. (Swimming Pool Discounters, Alpine Pools, etc)

This place now goes by "Swimming Pool Discounters" (3 locations). I purchased an above ground pool here from Dale Kleiner the owner. The pool was purchased because Dale "guaranteed" me he could have it installed by the following week. When the day came, no installer, no phone call. I reached out to Dale a total of 4 or 5 times, even speaking to his daughter once and explaining I needed to schedule time off work etc. Dale not only refused to return my phone call but never even bothered scheduling my pool installation. His employee ws told to give me the name of a 3rd party installer and to schedule it myself. I eventually got my pool put in much later and had to make all the arrangements myself. Dale was great at the time of the sale, but once he had my money he could care less. If you do some research online or ask around, apparently this is how he does business. I wouls spend a little extra money and go to a relaible pool dealer with some level of professionalism.

We had checked this company out with the Better Business Bureau before contracting with them. They had no unresolved issues listed.This was a very bad experience for us. This contracter never returned to finish what he started. We were left with a safety hazard right in our own backyard. Not to mention, an eyesore. What was supposed to cost us $40,170.00 ending up costing us over $71,000.00. Not to mention we were planing on being able to swim two weeks after installation which ultimately took two years. He was evasive and difficult to track down. But we recently had our day in court and was awarded compensation. Which will NEVER take away the time and frustraton we experienced with this company. They continue to be in business by frequently changing the name of the store. He currently is interchanging his Pool Nation name with Swimming Pool Discounters and has several locations. When he appealed the arbitrators descision, I paid for court records of his previous court encounters and was STUNNED! There were too many to count. Clearly this guy makes it a practice of ripping off the unsuspecting consumers. Most of the judgements he lost. Some were in the thousands of dollars. Including a case with the IRS. We have been made aware that there many more customers they have done this to. So BUYER BEWARE!

WARRANTY WORK ON HEATER. WE FOUND THAT WE HAD TO WAIT FOR SERVICE, BUT IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT. THE TECH RE-INSTRUCTED US ON THE CARE OF THE SPA.
