5/19/2008. I want to share a very positive experience with a general contractor on Angie s List, Clinton Faust. Clint visited me and we went through all aspects of my home renovation. I was very impressed with Clint s personality, knowledge of the building trades, and business skills. Just before I hired Clint to do the remodeling, another contractor, Ken, became available. Ken did a great job on the exterior of my former home and contacted me about this remodeling work. I thought he had left this business. Given our former relationship and his need for work, I hired Ken. Ken did a terrible job and vacated the job site as soon as we were close to the end of my budget. He left me with a gas leak, an uncovered electrical panel, major trim problems, and other work abandoned in the middle of construction. Ken has not attempted to contact me, I initiated all subsequent contact. No work has been done on my home in over two months. However, he has been doing other jobs. I called Clint to see if he could help me salvage this renovation. For no charge and with no irritation with my former decision, Clint spent over 2 hours with me last week. He examined the work, showed me the problems, and advised me on how to deal with them. He offered to take on some of the work when he has an unscheduled day. I am so pleased that Clint visited and will make his high levels of skill, quality, and professionalism available on his unscheduled days, as I try to complete a poorly done job. This was a major relief for me and I thank Clint for his willingness to help.

While the work doesn't sound very complicated, my wife and I wanted to make sure that the work was done properly in our brand new shower. Clint came to the house and reviewed the situation. He looked at the door we had purchased and the space to install the door. He came back a week later to perform the work. He was careful about the house and the space. The door was installed very professionally and looks perfect. There were no problems and his estimate was correct.

Clint returned my phone call promptly and came on a Saturday, advised us well and gave us an estimate in a couple of days. We arranged a time to do the work in a few weeks and he contacted me a week beforehand. He arrived when he said he would so there was someone to let him in (we both work). He brought a very nice man with him to help. He kept me informed of how they were progressing and in fact we had him do more than we had originally planned, with him giving us estimates as we went along. The work was very well done and they cleaned up after themselves very well. They coped with our three indoor cats very well. Clint seemed to be more concerned about doing a good job rather than rushing through it, although he started and finished as he had predicted.

Clint responded promptly to our e-mailed request, and came to the house to look at the project within days. He took the time to understand what we wanted, and came up with a suggestion that made the project go more smoothly. He made sure we understood how things probably would look, and made it clear that this was a "one-way project" - once he changed the doors, we could not change them back. After we agreed to proceed, he started the project within about 10 days, and completed it, as promised, within three days. He was pleasant and considerate, neat and clean, and we're very happy with the results. We've already scheduled Clint to do another small "touch-up" project in our kitchen.

Great!! From estimate, to work, to completion Mr. Faust was very professional and courteous. He listened to our needs, had great ideas and expertise to offer, and did what he said he would when he said he would. The finished product is great and is exactly what we discussed. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the job.

Clint was one of the few contractors we had contacted who showed up ON TIME. We had several contractors who showed up for an estimate an hour late or not at all. He gave us an estimate within twenty-four hours, and it was comparable to the others we had received. He arrived at our house everyday, on time, and asked if it was okay to stay later. Initially, he thought it would take about five days. My wife and I decided to do the tile surround for our bathtub, so the project took longer, but Clint had a union carpenter friend show up to help to get our bathroom done. Clint is a true craftsman, and owning his own business, he runs it like a true business man. He returns calls promptly, shows up on time, and cleaned up daily. Without a doubt, we will ALWAYS use him for future home improvement projects!

I bought this house below market value, it needed complete renovation. Clinton returned my call promptly, had an estimate ready within 48 hours. He helped me design the kitchen to make the most of my space and installed my appliances. He helped me pick the tile and pattern for the bathroom tub surround. His prices were fair, his work was excellent, and done in a timely manner. During the job, he found a wall that the previous owner had modified without proper support, explained my options, quoted a price, took care of permits and fixed it. He cleaned up at the end of each day, kept me notified of his progress anytime I asked.
