Custom Crete Design LLC

Took our money and did not do the job. Won't return calls or our money. Also has another company on here so beware. Just look for the name of the owner so you don't get ripped off.

We had a contract to have siding installed. Unfortunately, our contractor passed away before he started the project. Custom Crete took over his unfinished projects. We met with Custom Crete to review the proposed project specs and pricing. We were prepared to sign a contract; however, the contractor did not return our phone calls or emails. We are not sure what happened -- he just disappeared.

The project is labor intensive due to the weight of concrete based siding. Mike and his helper removed the old material and installed the new material in sections. This was done to keep the entire house from being exposed to weather. Every day, they disposed of the old material, rather than use a dumpster. This was helpful at our house, as we have several cars. Mike is very experienced working with this product. It is necessary that all corners have adequate aluminum before the Hardie Board is installed. This is also necessary where you have brick or roofing materials touching the new Board. I am sure that some other contractors would not do this correctly. Mike was very professional and easy to work with. Our goal was to have the house look exactly as it did 25 years ago when new.This was accomplished and we are very happy with Mike and the results.

I heard from Mike, the owner of the company, on the same day I called to set up an estimate. He came to do measurements the next day. I had the estimate emailed to me within a week. The job was scheduled within 3 weeks. The job started on time. Before any work started Mike and I rewalked the job to be sure we were both on the same page. He made a couple of suggestions that might make everything look better. There was no pressure to accept the changes. However, they made sense and I did authorize them. I had an updated estimate within 20 minutes and the work was started. The entire crew was very professional. Everyone knew what they needed to do and got right to work. I never saw anyone just standing around doing nothing. The job was completed in a very timely manner. The concrete came out very nice. We do have an issue with the job, however. Maybe we are expecting to much, I am not sure. After the concrete had been poured, we thought that the area they had dug would be reclaimed as much as possible. Nothing was done. When I asked about it, I was told, "I did my job. Hire a landscaper." This was told to me by Scott, who was working for Mike The concrete was never sealed. We were not told when it needed to be done. .
