Todd came into our home with professional and respected our home greatly. He helped my husband as he is a DIYer and showed that we did in fact have a collapsed pipe outside of our foundation. He also showed us ways that my husband would do to cut down on cost, lower labor. The job was done properly and we were very happy with the service.
Description of Work: I would highly recommend Todd and Justin from Roto Rooter. We had a collapsed pipe outside of our foundation and have been without a septic for 3 days. They rushed our service and was very quick to fix the issue correctly and we felt we were charged appropriately. They have restored our faith in contractors. Thank you Todd and Justin! We are still waiting for David Leroy to call us back.

Ryan demonstrated excellent troubleshooting skills. He is an honest man that does the job right. He is a good communicator that explains what he is doing and why. This is not our first experience with Roto-Rooter. We have them pump our tanks every 4 years. During the last pumping 2 years ago the tech noticed lots of green lush grass growing around our cover to the same transfer tank that Ryan had to work in. We found out in a followup visit that we had a waterlogged high level float. The tank was overfilled. The transfer pump never came on and the grass around the cover was thriving with plenty of moisture to grow in! Again kudos to the technician's troubleshooting skills. This company has smart people working in the field. They are the ONLY ones we use for septic tank pumping and any septic problems that need repaired.
Description of Work: Ryan did an excellent job diagnosing a problem with a breaker tripping that supplied power to the transfer pump in my septic system. He pulled the pump and found it to be OK. What he did find was a water proof splice that leaked and the power that was suppose to go to the pump was going to ground by way of the water in the tank. Hence, the tripped breaker. He cut out the old splices and installed new ones. He also secured the power cable in a way that the splices were never exposed to water.

Called office to schedule, very helpful person answered the phone. The serviceman arrived when they said he would. (He also called when he was on the way). We had him clean a line with roots in it and also a tub line. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything as he went. They found my dry well in my yard (I didn't even know I had one) while they were cleaning my sink line. I will definitely have Roto-Rooter back next time I have a problem!

It was very easy to schedule the appointment. You can do it online. They will give you a time frame to choose from. I had tried calling them but it was very difficult to get through on the phone due to limited hours of business but online, no problems. The service technician arrived a few minutes after the scheduled start time which is to be expected I guess. I had called them because the basement was experiencing a minor issue with drainage from the recent September hurricanes flooding the city sewer lines to the max. I explained the situation to the tech and he proceeded to clean the sewer line after giving me two quotes. I knew it was not a serious issue so I only needed a simply cleaning job. At first, I thought all was well until a few days later when the minor flooding reappeared. Because their contract included a three month service guarantee, I gave them a call back and they sent out a different service tech immediately. This time because the sewer drain in the basement was completely stopped up, the new tech was able to understand the situation without my having to explain to him. As a result, he repeated the process and we observed the drain did not clear out. So he opened up the drain and was able to clear it out and all was well again. Why the first technician did not do a complete job after explaining the situation to him, we do not know. But with the second tech who was more thorough, we can now say we are satisfied with the service. Will I use them again? I don't know. This is a normal maintenance process every homeowner should do on their property, especially at the first sign of a slow drain. Just take a large bucket full of water and pour it down the sewer drain. If it drains quickly, you are fine. If it is slow, get it cleaned and repeat the process BEFORE the technician leaves. That way, you save yourself the hassle of calling them back. As well as the hassle of an emergency fix which can be costly.
