I had a fence installed December 2021 in our newly built house and problems started arising immediately. There has been problems with the overall installation (gates didn't shut, post were crooked, fence was not string lined on my property, etc). Most importantly there were issues with the 6ft privacy fence (no top or bottom aluminum in posts, no concrete poured, etc). I had another contractor come out and the total repairs were $6,100 due to the poor installation (quote attached). I contacted Ed multiple times for like the past yea to this review and he never responded to me after he told me the installers were going to come back out to take a look at it last February. The fact that he didn't have the integrity to contact me back or have installers fix their mistakes is mind boggling especially after I gave him a $10k deposit up front. This was a $14.6k total job. He didn't collect the remaining $4.6k which is most likely because he knew the repairs were going to be more (which they were by about $1.5k) so I ended up paying $16.1k instead of $14.6k. This isn't about the money, but I wanted to point out the fact to how he might try to justify his bad business. This was by far the most unethical thing I've ever been involved with and would save yourself a headache by using another business.

We moved here from out of state, and didn't know anyone who could recommend a reputable company to complete fence installation at our new home. Ed Shapiro, with Prizm Vinyl, was one of the five we chose to do a quote. He was very knowledgeable and professional; In addition to completing the estimate, he also offered information about the new area. We received the quote the next day and were amazed with the value of the fence and price to install versus the other companies. After selecting Prizm for our fence installation, Ed called to let us know all the details. Rob, the crew foreman, was very experienced and professional. Our vinyl picket fence was able to be completely installed to code within four and a half hours. It has been twenty-three days since the installation and our fence is fantastic! Prizm Vinyl did an amazing job from start to finish and we would recommend them to anyone. They have been a real blessing to us in our new home.

Prizm installed an aluminum fence around my backyard with 2 arched gates. They use high quality materials and did a great job on the installation. My only issue was that no one showed up the first day they were supposed to come do the work and no one called. I had stayed home and was a little annoyed. When I called the owner, he hadn't realized no one showed because his installer had car trouble, but hadn't called him. The installer was able to get out the next day and everything went smoothly from that point on. The owner was really responsive and I really enjoyed working with him. I had sent my initial inquiry via email very late on a Saturday night and he responded right away Sunday morning. I was impressed and even more once the job was done. They did really great work and I was completely satisfied. I would highly recommend them.

It was not the best experience. Once we signed the contract for installation, it took them about a month to install it. I also found out that it was the first fence like that that they were putting in also. The employees would just stand around in the morning time talking about how much it sucked to be at work today. I should have asked them to just leave at this point. They were originally only doing vinyl, but then said that they had a guy who was experienced in doing chain link fence. They still need to put some caps on the fence from two months ago. I have had to get them to come out two times. They got snippy with me when they needed to come back and also billed my credit card before they were done. I almost had to file a failure of good services terms with my credit card company. I regret taking the lowest bid I found.

Prizm did a really great job on my aluminum fence. Even though they manufacture vinyl fencing, they work with a high quality aluminum manufacturer and the materials were first rate. Ed was very responsive, responding to my initial email even on a Sunday. He was always very responsive to phone calls and emails and set an installation date as soon as the materials arrived. The only issue I had was that his installer did not show up on the day of the install and never bothered to call. I had to call Ed to find out what was going on and waited several hours to find our his installer had car trouble. However, after that one issue, everything went smoothly and their workmanship on the fencing was terrific. Ed also gave me a terrific price. I had received several quotes and Prizm's was much lower than the rest (Lowe's came in more than $2000 higher). My new fence is gorgeous.

When signing the initial contract, I authorized them to withdrawal the required amount for the down payment using my checking account debit card (approx. 1/3 of balance). I waited a week or more and had to contact them (Ed Shapiro) to give me an estimated installation date so we were prepared in removing the old fence on time. That date came and passed and I had to contact Ed again... project was delayed due to rain... they didn't make the second date... I called them again... they made it the next day. (Not a problem, but not very good customer service.) They did most of the installation on a Saturday when we had approx. 60 mph wind gusts which caused the fence to move more than normal (so they said) and the majority of the posts were not lined up. They should've just stopped installing the fence under those conditions. The fence staggered in height and in and out from post to post. I had to call them 2 or 3 times to come out and help align the fence. Each time it got better, but they never resolved all of the issues. We live on a hill and now everytime the wind blows, the corner gate comes open because they used magnetic latch hardware. This latch (even when locked) comes open just by pushing out on the poorly anchored corner fence post. Also, the other gate's latch is now busted from coming open and being blown around by the wind. The fence posts in general move far more than anticipated as compared to other installed vinyl fences. The little bit of concrete they put in the holes didn't anchor the posts very well. They never called after the 3rd visit to see if we were satisfied with the installation nor were we ever invoiced for the final payment. About 6 weeks after the installation, with no prior notice, they charged my debit card for the balance ($5000) and they overdrew my bank account. At this point, I was furious because they made an unauthorized transaction to my debit card and I threatened litigation if they didn't reverse the charges immediately. I icalled their office, but Ed was on vacation. I got his secretary and she didn't know how to issue a credit until after she checked with the card company. After she finally called me back the following day, I agreed to pay for all but the last $500 until they resolved the remaining issues with the installation of which she gave me back as credit on my debit card and said she would have Ed call me when he returned from vacation on 6/24/2010. Its been 3 months and I have never received a phone call to resolve the remaining issues. My husband and I decided at this point to make most of the fixes ourselves and save the $500. We've been very disappointed with the installation of the fence and the poor customer service we received. In early July, we had about 60 people at our house for my son's graduation party. Ed missed out on several referrals I could've given him that day. Unfortunately, most who asked who installed it for us, got the scoop on all of the bad issues we have had.

The workers were unprofessional. They smnoked the entire time and tossed the butts in the yard. They had to borrow my weed wacker to clear some brush. The gate they installed has NEVER worked properly from the date of install. I have called they four times since then to come out and fix the gate and each time they fail to fix it. right now, 18 months later, the gate has never been worse. Now they shut down their e-mail address so I can't even send them photos of their shoddy "workmanship". Once, one of there worklers tried to convince me that the wind was the reason why the gate wouldn't close. VERY UPSET with these people throughtout the entire process. On monday i am going to the local magistrate to begin a lawsuit against them for still failing to fix the gate. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!!
