We had a rep from Mr Chimney Sweep come to our house and perform chimney cleaning on 12/14/11. The work completed on that day was satisfactory; however, we were told we needed follow-up masonry repair work (they had said it was a minor repair, in two spots). First of all, I wanted to use a credit card to pay for my chimney cleaning service, so I was told I would be contacted for my credit card number along with contact to schedule needed masonry work. I did not hear back back from them until February 2012. Good for me, since I did not have to pay an additional bill during the holidays...bad for them to not collect for work completed until after 2 months had gone by. During that call in Feb, I was told there was a death in the family over the holidays and they were backed up with work. But I was assured by the owner, Donnie Decker, that he would contact me within 2 weeks to schedule our work. I never heard back from him, and then I finally called Donnie back in April. Donnie apologized again and assured me that he himself would complete the work we needed and that he would contact me to schedule an app't within that same week. I never heard back from him. Fast forward to Fall 2012, almost a year after our initial cleaning, and I placed another call to Donnie in October. Again, he said they were extremely backed up and could not handle the work they had scheduled. I asked if he could get our outstanding repair work completed in the upcoming weeks and he said there was no way.

We contacted Mr. Decker in the late spirng of 2011 because of birds entering our house through the chimney. We wanted nests removed and a cap placed. He said he was busy due to a recent rainy spell, and that it would take a week or two to get to us. We talked with him at least a half dozen times over the next couple months, and he kept promising to come by in a few days or a week each time, but he never did. He eventually stopped checking with us and we eventually stopped calling him. We'll find someone else in the area who actually does work instead of making empty promises. A good friend of ours had a similar problem with lengthy delays on getting any work done.

It never got started. Now I'm stuck trying to find someone to do the work before winter. He forgot that I was the customer. He has no customer values.
