Steve Fletcher and his crew were extremely pleasant, very friendly and most of all very professional. They came to us with question and wanted the job to be exceptional to our satisfaction and get our opinions to make sure they did the best surrounding our project. We are very pleased with the completion of the job. We would highly recommend them to our family and friends. Had a great experience. Todd came to my home to provide me with a cost breakdown. He was able to answer all of my questions thoroughly. Great response time in answering my calls. He was always available to me throughout the entire process which took about 3 weeks due to the size of the job and weather conditions. Had stain removal from the main house, garage and our guest house and garage, then stained it all. I have to say that my house was a mess. It had not been stained in the 10 years we have lived there, and I was so impressed with what was offered and what was done. Todd came out regularly to check out the work to make sure all was going well. His men left me notes each day to lay out their progress and plans for the next day. I loved the service. Professionalism was exceptional. Thanks to Aushermans for a job well done.

Zane and his crew were extremely professional and conscientious. They were very courteous of our property and home. They kept us informed daily of their progress and what the next steps would be. The team also made sure that the job was completed to our full satisfaction. We knew they would not be the least expensive bid (and weren't), but in an era where "you get what you pay for" it was clear to us that the extra money spent was well worth it as the job was completed on time and to our 100% satisfaction.

The prep work and the painting was perfect in every way. The prep work and the deck staining was also perfect. The employees were great to work with and we plan to use their services again.

They did very well. They were quite reponsive. They were clean and kept everything clean. I would tell a friend they did an excellent job in a timely manner.

My wife and I got three estimates for our project - two from Hanover and one from Mike Ausherman Painting, a York firm. The Hanover contractors were selected by local 'word of mouth' recommendations. Ausherman was invited to bid on the basis of their radio and billboard advertisements. Their bid was the middle priced of the three bids, Todd Hess, of Ausherman sold the job. He conveyed the firm's technical proficiency and its commitment to being both a quality painter and a quality employer. While I outlined the job in the exact same way to all bidders, Todd was astute in addressing the job and various options that could be considered. This included considering stain vs. paint; using a prime coat under the weather side and not doing so on the other sides. In the end, the job was done as originally described to all bidders - 2 coats of "Duration", but he had conveyed both an 'interest' and a 'knowledge' allowed me to see extra value in their higher bid. Sherwin Williams was having their quarterly sale at the time, and Todd allowed me to claim the savings by buying the paint myself. The job got started much later than we had hoped, but this was due to an unusual bout of late spring wetness. Aushserman painters Frank and Jeremy completed the job. Frank, the lead on the job, is highly organized, methodical, and moved quickly through the task. One of my concerns on this job was the concern of paint getting where it was not supposed to go. I give Frank an A+ for keeping overspray to zero, and ground drips and spills to almost zero. I could not have been more pleased with this aspect of the job. Ausherman gets an A+ on communication and forthrightness: When a crane was used on the west side of the barn, the ground, water soaked by unusual spring rains, gave way and the crane slipped, tearing up the sod. I was traveling at the time and was immediately notified. The east (shady) side of the barn, sprayed first after a bout of wet weather, had finish problems; adhesion seemed to be poor. Ausherman came out immediately to appraise the problem, agreed with my findings and came back in early August and scraped and repainted the entire east side. I have very little doubt, that they would address any reasonable issue that would come up in the ensuing months without hassle. And, of course, the real satisfaction is in the results: The barn looks great! Trim lines are crisp and an old collection of farm buildings has another lease on life. They also through in a bunch of extras - trimming out the barn door hardware; painting an old tool shed not included in the bid, and priming sections of one of the outbuildings that had been freshly re-sided. So, in conclusion, I would recommend Mike Ausherman painting.

They were terrific; extremely professional. They are not the cheapest guys on the block but they are very good. There was not a drop of paint anywhere it should not have been. They were a couple of guys. In wood work, it is hard not to get a little too much on the brush; they dipped it in the bucket, put it up against the wood work, and down; perfect. It was wonderful. The slightly higher than average price was well worth it.

I liked everything about their service. I recognize quality service and they're just outstanding.

I received estimates from two other companies, in one case considerably lower than Mike Ausherman's. But I had been very satisfied with the quality of work he did on a previous house, and when I told him the situation, he agreed to do a time and material job, and lowered the maximum cost to $7800. His Team Leader, Todd was sensitive to the cost and recommended several ways to decrease the cost without compromising the quality. I was disappointed that they had not completely removed old caulking at several spots, and they apologized for an inexperienced worker's lack of completeness. They redid those areas to my satisfaction. The workers were courteous and unobtrusive, and the trimming crisp. I am very particular about work done on my houses, and I am satisfied that by paying more than I could have from some other firms, I received a quality job. Sometimes it is just not worth the risk of going with anyone but those who have a proven record, as does Mike Ausherman.

Great advice on colors and types of materials to use for long term wear. Always prompt in responding via any form of contact including phone and email. Meticulous work. Perfect clean-up. Very personable. Absolutely trustworthy. We have used Ausherman Painting for many projects on our home and have always been extremely satisfied with both the immediate result and the longer term performance of the paint.

Took longer than expected. They cleaned up daily so that porch underneath was usable. Were careful about landscaping. They exceeded original estimate, asked me to split overrun cost which I was happy to do because the finished product is exceptional.

I emailed Mike Ausherman Painting Inc based on a referral from a friend. They never responded to my email or called me back.

Work was mediocre. Painters were professional & on time and cleaned up when they were done.

I could only see the estimate price at the end. The price was 10,675.00. That was three times as much as I expected. That was way out of my price range.

The crew was professional, punctual, and friendly. They did excellent work and left the area clean at the end of the day. They performed the work in a timely fashion.

Employees were puncutal, courteous and knowledgable. Prep was thorough and painting and staining meticulous. Care was taken to protect fish pond and plants. Definitely quality work. There are two reasons I give Ausherman a B rating. First, during prep of the porch floor areas above the floor, including the ceiling, were splattered and this was never cleaned up. Second, although I had expressed concern about color selection and we thought we were choosing colors that would be dark enough not to highlight dirt, both the porch and deck turned out to be way lighter than we had imagined. We'll live with the deck, but will have to repaint the porch ourselves.

They were extremely professional. They had a great clean up. The crew was really polite. The work was done quickly and well. They volunteered to put my furniture back too.
