Major Restoration Services

Major Restoration Services did prompt inspection and determined that there was very little mold. Did minor spraying free. Everything about the experience was good.

Very responsive to calls and requests. Estimates were detailed and accurate. Work was completed in a timely fashion. No complaints.

Abatement went excellently. Restoration was very frustrating due to manpower delays. The quality of work, however, was very good.

Eric and another gentleman arrived ahead of time. They were professional and more thorough than I expected, also taking care not to make a mess. Eric did a very good job communicating to me, the curious homeowner, what he was doing and what was found, and what it all meant compared to 'typical' circumstances found the usual house. I'd be pleased to deal with MRS again.

My expectation is for the vendor to use their expertise to provide recommendations as to the mold cleanup that was required. All that was received was a written work order as to what they were going to do - there were no written recommendations. The vendor did not do negative air scrubbing - although that was included in their work order - they simply used air scrubbers which did not filter the air to the outside of the house. Subsequent air sampling validations by a licensed vendor indicated the continued presence of mold in a room they did not touch. The vendor simply fogged - which is insufficient to remove active mold. When I approached the vendor subsequently the following transpired: 1. They never addressed the fact that they did not do the negative air scrubbing. 2. They told me that I was informed about fogging not getting rid of the mold. I do not recall that conversation. 3. They suggested that the licensed vendor that performed the subsequent quality sampling was not qualified. 4. In my phone conversations with them subsequent to their clean up, they kept insisting that they told me all of the other remediations steps that should be done - but I do not recollect any of them. Also, why wouldn't that be included in their original estimate of their work? Vendor informed me that they could come back and remove everything - carpeting, walls and ceilings included - the last location where they did that same work was almost $30k - so I'm suspecting we'd get a similar bill. The bottom line is that there was no written communication on any of the above. It was all verbal. So this is more of a he said/she said issue. I have no proof they said what the say they said, nor do they. I am also filing a complaint with the BBB on this vendor.

Great! Very informative and honest. Provided recommendations of minor mold findings that we could handle on our own. We had another local company prior to the Major Restoration Services and their findings came along with a $6,000 plus estimate for them to do the work. All I can say is I highly recommend Major Restoration Services due to their honesty and professionalism. They saved us thousands of dollars!

The inspector was courteous, helpful, and professional. Luckily we did not have any mold. If we ever do, I will hire Major Restauration Service.

It went fine. They were here January 22nd 2016. There were no additional costs. They never did get back to us though. They could have better follow up.

The technician came out and looked at the two areas of concern and found that there was no mild present. I had hoped he would check out the rest of the house as the person on the phone had said he would complete. Ultimately, I was relieved about it not being mold so I didn't even realize the mistake until after he was gone.

Provider was scheduled for a 4 pm appointment. I received no call that the provider cofirming that the provider was coming or that the provider would be late. At 4:10, my wife called the provider and was told that our appointment was missed as there were employees that went home ill. She was asked if the appointment could be rescheduled for another day. My wife had taken off work early to meet the provider and when she expressed this, the contact at the company said she would see what she could do to get the appointment for that day. She called back to say that she had a service provider enroute to provide our evaluation. He arrived 30 minutes later. The service recovery was great!

They did a great inspection, very thorough. Found an unusual mold display. They researched to find additional information, and provided us with some great insight into the situation so we can reduce the risk of future mold spread on our own. Had to play phone tag for while to get the follow-up information, but I was very satisfied with the final communication and results. I would use again and would highly recommend.

It went great. They were even willing and able to accommodate some of my special requests such as natural mold-killers being used in the process. I only decided to go with a different service provider because they have a couple more options to help the hyper-sensitivity of some members of the household. For standard restoration and such, I think this company would be a pleasure to work with, and I bet they'd do an excellent job.

Michael was professional and since I mentioned that I like to learn what's going on, he was glad to explain what he saw and what it meant. Thankfully it turned out that it is highly unlikely that we have a mold problem, but this inspection was very valuable for the peace of mind it provided.

Very nice guy but a little over priced

They did not inspect. They did an estimate on what it would cost, if they did find mold. They also didn't meet at the time they were scheduled.

The representative was extremely knowledgable, professional, and discussed processes and options in full detail. We will be hiring them to complete the work in the near future! Prices are reasonable and professionalism was outstanding. Looking forward to working with them more very soon!

Very pleased. Owner of company looked over the whole house and gave professional assessment. Looked at problem area very closely and took measurements. Left me with his estimate and advice. Very professional and very competent.

They were very helpful but we just chose to clean it up ourselves because it was just a small leak. We had scheduled an estimate but then I called back and canceled it because it wasn't going to be covered under insurance. I don't know how their pricing was, but they gave me a lot of information and they were very helpful. I probably would have used them if it had been covered under insurance.

The visit went well. The serviceman was very professional and knowledgeable about his field. I was pleased with the service and will recommend him to our friends and family.

It worked out fine. They came and took a look at everything. They had a little bit of delay in coming out because they didn't call me back right away but they apologized right immediately when they realized somehow we slipped through the crack but I would still recommend them.

This deal worked out fine. The technician was punctual, professional, informative, and gave me information on other problem areas. They also gave me estimates for future work. Once the work was done, they gave me a very thorough report. Getting the appointment scheduled was easy. They responded quickly to my initial calls and concerns.

I found their information through Angie's List and called their office to set up an appointment (I bought the online deal they had trhough Angie's List). We scheduled them to come the very next day. They called me the next morning to let me know they had an emergency they needed to tend to (storm issues) and we rescheduled for the next day. They came and tested our carpet (check beneath it, and went to the basement). We actually didn't have any active mold detected. The service man was helpful and very nice.
