He lacked the right ladder to deal with the sloping ground, so he washed the side of the house from the ground, which made me worry about water being injected up under the siding into the wall, where it could cause mold growth. Some stubborn stains didn't get removed, but I don't see how they could have been. Results looked really good. Price estimate was higher than I expected to pay, but they were really good about working with me to scale back the work to fit my budget.

+ -1 moreDue to the fact that no response was received indicating his acceptance, rejection or a counter-offer, I am seeking another contractor for the job. I do not expect to use Angie's List. I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT IT IS UNREASONABLE TO ASK FOR SOME TYPE OF RESPONSE. THIS CONTRACTOR REQUESTED THE SAME FROM ME AND I OBLIGED.
Description of Work: The estimate was conducted in a professional manner. As indicated above, Mr. Sterner presented and conducted himself professionally. His vehicle was a late-model pickup and was clean in appearance. He took several pictures and to my dismay, sent an estimate including the ENTIRE house plus the fence which was not what I wanted. The job included the north side of the house ONLY plus the ENTIRE fence. No pictures were taken of the other (3) sides of the house, therefore, I believed that the individual understood the details of the job. When I answered his email containing his estimate, I described the misunderstanding ( I will assume it was mine) and added a counter proposal. The proposal included HIS price for the fence ($195) plus $5 and NO Angie's discount. This would include the north side of the house plus the fence. I asked for a reply whatever his answer would be.

We scheduled a time for the work, they came out that day and did the work. My house looked great & the walkways and deck were ready for me to seal. They cleaned everything up and my house and yard were left as they found it!

+ -1 more.Technition arrived on time and set to work and it took about 2 hours. He was efficient and did all areas well. He came with all equipment needed and cleaned up when finished. The generator was a moderate amt of noise but not unbearable. Overall, it was a very good experience and I recommend this company without reservation. My house and garage look very different from before. I plan to have it done again as needed and Meg said she will check back with me which I appreciate.
Description of Work: Found this provider of house power washing on Angie's List and reports were very good so did not get other estimates. Saved a lot of time and waiting for contractors. Meg responded quickly to my call and we set appt and she came and photographed areas and we agreed on work to be done. Took lots of pictures and emailed them to me for confirmation of what we had discussed. This was a great help to me to see just how much mold was on house and garage. Estimate was clear by email and she added an area we had not added initially at no extra cost. Work done was to remove by power washing mold and green stuff from house brick and aluminum siding, sidewalks, down to basement steps and garage. Windows and window sills also cleaned on the outside. Rain gutters on house were not included since they were brand new but garage rain gutters done. Meg clearly explained the procedures and solutions used. Of particular note was very dirty steps down to outside basement area which now look amazing! The green growth on the brick chimney was particularly unsightly and is now all gone.

+ -1 moreI received a very thorough and prompt quote. It included photos of the house and specifics on exactly what needed done and how much each piece would be to do. They worked with me on several options, as we decided to save the deck until spring. I was able to schedule the work to be done less than 2 weeks out. Two workers arrived here at the announced time and completed the work promptly. They had me do a walk around with them after they were completed to ensure I was satisfied. I was able to just pay them while they were here. I also had the option of paying on-line. The whole process was smooth and easy. The work was great. It was a great experience all around. We will definitely call them in the spring to come back and clean our deck.
Description of Work: Keystone Mobile came and washed the entire exterior of our home which includes vinyl siding, dryvit and stone.

+ -1 moreWhat a pleasant experience! From my initial contact with the company to the end of the project, I felt comfortable with the entire process. Meg and Eric Sterner, the owners of Keystone Mobile Wash, were flexible in scheduling the work on this project because they understood that I was handling not only the responsibility for my own property,but also the owners of the other two properties, who expected an excellent and thorough job - which is what we all got! In fact, not only were we pleased, but neighbors remarked about the transformation of our properties from looking their age to looking new again. I must also commend the young man who handled this job on site. He was professional, personable, and very knowledgable about handling the different surfaces, and he answered questions about the process before and after the cleaning. In short, Keystone Mobile Wash has impressed three customers (plus a neighborhood) in just one visit.
Description of Work: Keystone Mobile Wash was engaged to pressure-wash three contiguous twenty-year-old generally vinyl-clad townhouses, which had never before been pressure washed, as preparation for painting. The surfaces consisted of vinyl siding and window shutters, as well as vinyl-clad windows, decorative PVC shingles, and elaborate wooden Victorian porches, trim and box bays - all more or less challenging because of the varying degrees of mildew found on each type of surface, a situation which required more than one type of treatment.

+ -1 moreI thought that the firm was to be there at 9 AM. They arrived at 10:30 AM. (It was perhaps a mis-understanding that they would leave the office at 9 AM and then go to my home.) I reviewed the job to be done with the workers as they arrived on the scene. They began by cleaning the guttersand then washed the algae and moss from the front of my home. This included the cement front porch and a small walkway. They were extremely careful with my plants and were very professional.
Description of Work: The company cleaned the gutters and pressure-washed the front of my home. This included: my garage roof ,front and door; a cement walkway, my cement front porch, porch roof and adjacent townhome siding.

+ -1 moreThe company did a very thorough job overall. We had to take down an awning to give the tech access to an area at the backside of the house. Would have been nice if they would have told us in advance as this could have easily been removed ahead of time. Also the tech did not remove any of the screens and in my opinion this hindered his access to the window wells. I would recommend removing outside screens for this service. The outside looked great after completion of the pressure washing. I was astounded how good the sidewalk looked. What a difference.

The level of detail reduced the possibility of miscommunication about what was to be done. This was a major selling point for the client.* Vendor allowed the client to pick any color to have the deck painted. Client provided the desired paint chip to the vendor. This fact was a major selling point for the client.Vendor answered client's numerous questions via email and cell phone. Commiunication access to the vendor was excellent. This was another major selling point for the client.* The quoted price was more than a second quote that was sought. However, the selling points noted above were weighty enough for the client to offset the cost difference.* The vendor communicated with the client regarding the schedule for the washing and painting of the deck. Since painting a deck is dependant on the weather, this close level of communication was important to the client.* The vendor replaced one railing and washed the deck on one day. Once the weather forecast looked good for painting and drying of the deck, the vendor came back and painted the deck in a day.* All surfaces were covered, as expected. The deck looks great!

We had to wait a few days for this step, because a few days of clear weather was needed. The deck looks great. The person giving the quote was on time, knowledgable, and willing to spend time educating me about the process and what pressure washing could and could not do. They forwarded the quote by e-mail, as I requested and all further communication was by e-mail (at my request). The work was performed while we were out of town and we arrived home from vacation to a walkway that looked like new, a roof that looked like it had just been installed, clean house exterior and patio. I was very, very happy with the whole process and would definitely recommend this company.

+ -1 moreI contacted Meg and left her a message. She was prompt in getting back to me. We set up a time for her to look at the property and her team arrived on time. They took pictures and put together a comprehensive estimate that included what work would be done, how it would be handled and what kind of results I could expect. We set up an appointment. On the day they were to arrive, Meg called me to let me know they were running late because a belt had broken on one of the pumps. While the team was not punctual, per se, the fact that they called as soon as it happened and made sure it would still work for me spoke volumes. The job was completed and the house looks terrific. I did get one lower estimate, but I went with Keystone because of their thoughtfulness and professionalism. I was not disappointed. I would definitely recommend them and will be calling them in the future.
Description of Work: our home had significant mold built up on the vinyl siding, soffits and paint work. Keystone came and power washed the home, plus all of the concrete leading up to the home.

The rest of the story....when putting the estimate together the owner suggested that they power wash the gutters, porch railings, porch ceilings, the windows and screens. That made the "value" an exceptional one. The work came out beautifully. Our house sits in a valley and tends to get a green algae build up over time. It is bright white again. The professionalism, the friendliness and the owner's attitude told me in advance that these guy's were going to do good work. Having never met them before, I felt confident enough that I let them schedule the work on a day I was going to be away. (Probably should not do that.) They left the place in perfect order and did great work. Call them.

I had asked for the sealing to be done with a water-based product (rather than the oil-based they usually use). It didn't bead up the way I expected and they very willingly returned and put on a second coat, for which they would not accept additional payment. The finished job is great! I will definitely do business with them again and I highly recommend them.

First company came out and did the estimate but then said they had a lot of commerical business and migh be able to fit us in somewhere in 3 weeks, but couldnt make any commitment. So it was a relief that this company was able to commit to a date and kept it. Washing job was fine. Some slight brown staining as the water dripped down from the gutters or roof but I am not sure if that can be helped. As mentioned above, told me what to expect ahead of time and explained the process. Very courteous as well.
Description of Work: Washed entire exterior, driveway, patio and sidewalks. I liked that he explained a few places where the washing might not take care of the discoloration (gutters and some type of tiny black mold), so I knew what to expect. Very prompt in doing the estimate and then in scheduling the work.

Description of Work: Keystone Mobile Wash called back within minutes of my request for a quote to power wash and stain the deck. Mr. Sterner was out immediately to provide an estimate that included a 10% discount due to my Angie's List membership. The work started a few days later and completed before the holiday weekend, in time for my family to enjoy the cleaned up deck for the 4th celebration at my home. The power wash restored the brown wood finish without damaging the boards. The stain finish improved the overall appearance and has restore the beauty of the wood to near original condition. That is a major accomplishment given the deck is more than 18 years old. There was a fairly large wood stain area that another contractor had left unfinished some years ago. Mr. Sterner removed that stain and again restored the original luster of the wood. He also made some repairs with the boards that had risen up. It's been three weeks since the work was completed and the deck still looks fabulous. Additionally, the cleaning solution and stain was environmental friendly, the payment transaction was done electronically via the smart phone and the receipt through internet email. Green energy at work, no waste of paper and resourceful use of time. This is the way to go. It was a refreshing and enjoyable experience to work with the entire family. I am recommending Keystone Mobile Wash to others but think when people see my deck, it gives its own marketing and advertising campaign. VH, York, PA
