Description of Work: Have had Behler do a variety of jobs: air conditioning, plumbing services, including an emergency call. They were timely and efficient. Didn't feel they took advantage, and they discussed the solution so I could choose the right option for what I needed. Would definitely hire again.

The installation went well, even with a few hiccups (the gas company didn't run the line through to the house after installing a new pipe line, the doorway and stairwell was quite narrow for bringing in the new boiler). The men were all very professional and helpful - even going so far as to check another leak not related to the install (kitchen faucet went bad while they were there). They were on time, polite and even tolerant to my preschooler bombarding them with questions. I highly recommend F. W. Behler for their knowledge, expertise, professionalism, courtesy, thoroughness and affordability. You will not be disappointed with this small, local company.
Description of Work: We had an older fuel oil boiler that we initially wanted to just convert to a gas boiler. Dave Yates came out to give an estimate on the conversion cost, but after studying the set up and realizing the existing boiler's warranty was no longer valid, he recommended a complete replacement. He took the time to obtain several different prices from varying boiler vendors and provided them to me along with his recommendation. His knowledge and obvious expertise made us comfortable (pointing out details that other contractors has missed as far as parts that were installed incorrectly on the existing set up, providing education on how things work, etc). His bid came in at about the same price as another low-priced contractor but due to the comfort level we had, we wanted to go with his company. His crew removed the existing boiler and installed a brand new one with a higher efficiency rating, ran the gas line from the outside to the inside, bled and tested the radiators and cleaned up after themselves.

Fortunately, FEMA came through or else I would have been out about close to $6,000. It doesn’t flood that often but I had 17 inches of water in my basement and a bunch of my neighbors also had the same problem. My house kind of sits up a little bit on a hill, but it just poured and poured and wouldn’t stop. They replaced the boiler 2 weeks after replacing the hot water heater. They were great, especially their office staff. If the lady in the office hadn’t told me about FEMA, I probably wouldn’t even have applied. Burnham Boiler Company gave me a $100 rebate, and she sent in paperwork. As a result of the flooding, Burnham gave a $100 check to everybody who needed a boiler, and she took care of all the related paperwork and told me that I would be receiving this check. Meanwhile I was going over to my parents’ place after all the bailing to jump into my shower, and it was horrible for 10 days.
Description of Work: After the Tropical Storm Lee, the flooding in my house resulted in me needing a new boiler and hot water heater. F.W. Behler Plumbing came over to replace it.
