JC Remodeling Inc. remodelled my bathroom about two years ago. Last week I noticed the need for a minor repair on the ceiling. I emailed partner, Janice, on Sunday evening. She immediately scheduled an appointment to come over to review the issue on Monday morning. Janice showed up on time with crew member, Javier. Joe called me later in the day, and said they would send Javier over on Thursday to repair the ceiling. Javier arrived at the scheduled time on Thursday. He went right to work. It only took him about 2 hours over 2 days to complete the work. Like all of Joe's crew, Javier is very professional. He doesn't talk much, just comes in and goes straight to work to do whatever has to be done. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly JC Remodeling responded to my call. Not to mention, there was no charge for the repair. As you know, a lot of companies will say their work is warranted, but drag their feet, or don't show up at all to make any necessary repairs. Thank you JC for your honesty and integrity. I look forward to using your services on future projects.

Joe and his partner were outstanding. Everything they said they would do was done as promised including punctuality. The work itself was as expected. These guys are true professionals and showed that they are trustworthy as well. I will use their services again in the future and recommend them for your home projects as well .

Joe and Janice are responsive, prompt, and knowledgable - very easy to work with and kept me updated daily on progress. The guys great attention to detail and were extremely tidy. I was completely comfortable having them in my home and plan on using them again for a kitchen reno.

I had no complaints with them. They were on time. Their work was perfect and they were very courteous. Their quality of work was excellent. Their prices were reasonable.

The overall work was excellent. They were punctual and went above and beyond with patching the wall. They even replaced the woodwork and matched it perfectly with the existing woodwork. We were looking to remodel our bath and gave JC Remodling a call sometime in September. We went through Angie's list to get the contractors we wanted to use. Most of them came out and gave us an estimate, but didn't have the knowledge that Joe had. He seemed to know and get what we wanted from the beginning. Around a month went by and we decided to use JC. Before I could hire them we had a pipe break in out ceiling and water came through our dining room ceiling! I has a mess, I called and asked if he could take a look at that too, since I now need my ceiling fixed as well. He came the next day. He wrote up an estimate and time frame for everything. We hired him and he was able to start within two weeks, right after the New Year. From the start, Joe and his Crew were on time every day. They started at 7:00 am sharp. Which was great, as I work and no one is home during the day, so I could go over anything with him in the morning before I left. Joe always checked to make sure that I was satisfy with everything. He even fixed a light that didn't work, because he noticed it! It is the little things that add up and I can't say enough about the great crew and Janice who work in the office. You have earned yourself a customer for life as well as a good referral souce if you need one. Thanks again!

Excellent! They were like monkeys - They were all over the place, got everything done quickly & efficiently & did a great job.

What a pleasure it has been to have JC Remodeling as a contractor. We hired them to finish our basement, providing our family a much needed additional living area and powder room. Our experience with Joe and his crew was such a good one! This was our first major contracting job, and they were with us the entire way, from planning phase, to finish. First of all, they responded quickly, within a day of us contacting them. We invited them in to our home, and relayed our ideas on the basement. We had an estimate in 3 days, for the work to be performed. After signing the contract, they started the project within 3 weeks, obtaining all necessary permits and inspections from our township. They had us pick what items we desired in the powder room (vanity, mirror, fixtures, toilet, tiles, and light). Even when we were un-happy of how the chosen toilet and vanity would look in the challenging space we had for the room, it was no problem for them to change the order, and design a fix for the area, ending up with a perfect solution for this problematic area. As they were installing the plumbing, they discovered leaky pipes (pre-existing) in our home, and again, they were able to repair, replace, and modernize the defective areas at a rather low cost, maintaining schedule on the project. One must note, when Joe moved our dinning room cabinet to gain access to the above mentioned plumbing problem, he found the cabinet doors not functioning properly, and took the time to adjust all eight of them. During the project, they pointed out available upgrades, like size of trim, and column wrap. At first we were unsure if this was necessary, but we are sure glad this was pointed out and had the option brought to our attention, as it really shows! We had a plan on finishing the floor portion of the project, and decided not to use them. When this plan fell through, JC Remodeling had no problem to pick up this contract, providing us again, with a professional estimate, and was able to complete the job with no delay to the finish date of the main project. Along the way, Joe and his crew were able to give professional advice on problematic areas. Janice was a pleasure. She was always on top of the paperwork, and selections. Lou, the Foreman, always going the extra mile to keep you informed. The work area was clean, the crew was punctual, friendly, and courteous at all times. Overall, when you hire JC Remodeling, you get a professional, experienced crew, that works together quite well as a team. They came out and looked at the place. The answered all the questions that we had. They were thorough and very professional.

Joe and his crew were excellent experienced workers. We felt comfortable with them working inside our house even though we were home some of the days they were there. We hired them to re-do our back porch. It started out as a screened in back porch on a slab of cement. NOW, it's a beautiful new back room addition! Practically a "florida room" with windows all around, two exterior doors, with storm doors, heat pump, beautiful tile flooring, celing fan, etc... Not only did they all do an exceptional job, Joe and his crew added little "unexpected" details along the way, which were much appreciated. And they still stuck to the estimated cost!! If you are thinking about hiring a contractor please take a minute and read my review of my wonderful experiences with JC. We wanted to update our kitchen without gutting it. We just wanted a dishwasher, new sink and countertops. Our floor, range and cabinets are all relatively new. We received 6 estimated and everybody but JC wanted to replace he cabinets. One contractor demanded that he would not do the job unless it included the cabinets. My wife found out about angieslist.com and thats how we found JC Remodeling. Joe came into out house the day after we called him. When we explained our "vision" and not wanting to replace our cabinets he just said no problem. We picked out the type of countertops, sink, dishwasher from places like home depot because Joe wanted us to take our time. Then when we came back and told him what we wanted he sat down and went over the prices of everything. Where we can save money... Example the price of marble vs Corian. He told us about discounts he could get for our new fixtures and dishwasher. He did not rush us. Our estimate process took two weeks. He was very upfront with how much he was going to charge us and a detailed list of the costs. Most estimates I received from other contractors was just a number on their letterhead... 7k we take credit cards!!! JC was one of the cheapest but we probably would at that point paid more because of the service and piece of mind. (dont tell him that he is going to do more work for us) Little did i realize that was the tip of the iceberg. JC took a check deposit and started ordering our things immediately. He explained the timeline to us in exact detail and the only question mark was the company making the custom countertop because it was Corian. We got daily phone calls and follow us emails to my email address and my wife's when a item came in, double checking the timeline and when he would be coming to the house to measure something. (which was great bc I did not have to constantly repeat everything to my wife)The representative from the Corian guy came out to measure our kitchen and honestly he was a real a**hole. Joe noticed that he was very short with me and told the guy to hit the bricks. I never saw him again. We knew it would take about 2 weeks for the countertops to be made but we still received a email and call every other day telling us JC was checking on it. After all the items were in and we scheduled a time to come out. (I think it was only a day or two later bc of my schedule. JC was ready) Joe explained it would take 2 days and gave me every last detail on how the process was going to work. After day 1 he hooked our old sink back up just so we would would not have to go without one for 12 hours. JC's team of people were nice, respectful of my home. (side note one of the guys smoked and i have had guys just light up in the house. Joes guy when he was on break walked around the corner to smoke so he would not possibly disturb me or my neighbors.) they also placed drop clothes before they started so they would not track anything in the house. After day 2 we had our kitchen and they finished EARLY!!! of their original quoted timeline . So fast forward a year and a half later my dishwasher stopped draining (because my 2 year old apparently put some loose change to be washed without my knowing) also the faucet had a crack in it... A manufactures defect. I emailed Janice from JC on Friday afternoon. I got a immediate response that they would be out Monday Morning at 8am. Joe replaced the faucet while we are waiting for the new one to be mailed from the manufacturer. Joe also did not leave until we fixed the dishwasher. Something was wrong with the pump. He could have easily referred me to GE the maker if the dishwasher and go though their service department. Joe saved me a lot of headache having to call GE and money because he just charged me a small fee. A lot less than replacing the pump or having GE come to the house. Dealing with JC remodeling has been the best experience not just with a contractor but with buying anything (car house landscaping.....) The kitchen looks great! They arrived on time, introduced themselves, set up protection for my wood floors and got to work. The entire job took less than two days and they kept me apprised on the timeline throughout. I have received many positive comments about their work and have recommended them numerous times.

Joe and his crew were great every step of the way. JC Remodeling is, by far, the best contractor we have ever worked with. I think the combination of Joe leading up the work and Janice manning the office is a great combination. I originally contacted JC Remodeling by email to give an estimate for the above work at our house. About 2 weeks later, Joe came out to take a look at the job. He went through our house and discussed each item that we wanted to get renovated. All in all, he spent about 30 minutes discussing the potential job and gave several recommendations and suggestions on the best way to do things, suggested materials, etc. Joe suggested that my wife and I go to Home Depot and pick out all of our materials and send the SKUs to Janice. She would plug them into the computer and would give an estimate. We spent about seven combined hours at Home Depot over the next two weekends and picked out all of the materials. We took pictures of everything and sent the SKUs and the photos for some items (such as the tile patterns) to Janice. As a result of our trip to Home Depot, we added on a few items that were not discussed when Joe came by to give the estimate. Specifically, we wanted to replace the bath fan in the master bathroom, decided to replace our gas range, and decided to install a backsplash in the kitchen. At Joe's recommendation, we decided to go with a "tub kit" in the master bathroom instead of tile walls. We weren't able to find any tub kits at Home Depot, so Janice sent us three options of tub kits with pictures and links from Home Depot's website so we were quickly able to choose a tub kit. She also sent us options of shower diverters, from which we chose one. After all of these issues were resolved, Janice sent a detailed estimate by email. As we discussed, she had broken down the estimate between the different parts of the job (master bathroom, master bedroom, stairway, kitchen, and front door) so that we could get an idea of what everything would cost. They also included an estimate of time (3-4 weeks for the entire job). The estimate included a list of all materials and included removal of all old items. Based on the estimate, my wife and I generated a list of about 20 questions, which we sent to Janice. Joe called me the same day to answer all of the questions. Based on the responses to the questions, the estimate was revised slightly. In the meantime, I had arranged for three other contractors to look at the work - and I sent them a list of the materials that we had selected. One contractor, who does a lot of work in our area, indicated that he would provide an estimate, but never got back to us, even after a few telephone calls. Another contractor came in at a much higher price. The third came in somewhat lower, but he would not provide the materials and would not provide for the removal of the old gas range. We decided to go with JC Remodeling. From the moment we met Joe, we knew that he was extremely competent and honest. In addition, Joe and Janice's great communication as well as the numerous excellent reviews on Angie's List made the choice easy. We were a little concerned with the cost, because it was more than we had planned to spend, but we are glad we hired JC Remodeling for the job as the end result is excellent. Joe and Janice scheduled the job to begin about five weeks after the contract was signed and we paid a 1/3 deposit. (They ask for 1/3 as a deposit up front, 1/3 when they are about halfway done, and 1/3 at the completion of the job). About two weeks before the job was scheduled to begin, Joe contacted us to ask if he could come in one week early to temporarily remove and measure the countertops. He came that morning at about 7:30am before we left for work to discuss the job and the countertops. He also walked through the entire job with his crew to discuss the work that was to be done. When the countertop measuring process was done, they were temporarily re-glued and Joe locked up the house before he left for the day. He called me that afternoon to let me know that the work went smoothly and he had locked up the house and would see me the next Monday to begin the job. The next Monday (and every day thereafter), Joe and his crew arrived between 7:30 and 7:45AM. Each day he spoke with us about decisions that had to be made and the work that he planned to get done that day. He also asked us if we had any questions. Also each day, he called me at the end of the day to let me know the work that had been done that day and anything that we shouldn't touch that night. In addition, when issues came up during the day, Joe would call to ask how we would like something done. It was this type of personal attention to detail that really puts JC Remodeling head and shoulders above the rest. Week 1 of the job was primarily focused on the master bathroom. On day 2, Joe and his crew realized that he would not be able to get the tub kit we ordered up our circular stairs. He said that it was close and worth trying, but it did not fit. He then tried a different tub kit, which also didn't fit up the stairs. Joe immediately called me to let me know, and recommended that we go with tile. My wife and I decided that tile would be fine. One thing that impressed us was Joe's ability to make recommendations. For example, when tiling the walls around the bathtub, Joe suggested that we install "pie shelves" in the corners. We didn't know that these shelves existed, but they are a great addition to that bathtub and really don't know how we did without them. On day 5, Joe called me and told me that under the carpet the stairs were in pretty bad shape (and were not even constructed as real stairs). Instead of sanding and staining the stairs, Joe said that he would have to think about the options. Over the weekend between Week 1 and Week 2, we decided that since we were going to have a completely new master bathroom and new floors in our master bedroom, that we should go ahead and get the master bathroom painted. Janice quickly got us an estimate for the painting (which was estimated to take 2 days that were not planned for) and we chose the wall color over the weekend. Week 2 of the job was focused on the master bathroom, the master bedroom, the kitchen, and the stairs. Joe had done the research on the stairs, and determined that we had two options - we could either re-carpet them or he could install oak wood treads and risers essentially on top of the existing stairs. Because our stairs are circular stairs, cutting the risers and treads to the right size and shape was a big project. He estimated that the stairs would take between 3-1/2 to 5 days additional. While the oak wood stairs came at a higher cost, we decided to go with them. And, based on the final outcome, we are glad we did. They look spectacular! Due to the odd shapes and angles involved, they were only able to complete 4 or 5 stairs per day. This was a large project. We also paid JC Remodeling the second 1/3 payment for the work on day 7. On day 10, Joe called me up and said that they would like to come out on the next day (which was a Saturday) and continue to work on the stairs. Week 3 of the job was focused on the master bedroom and the stairs. Day 14 was July 4th, but Joe wanted to come and work. They came out as normal at 7:30AM on that day, completed the stairs, and stained the stairs between the second and third floors. On day 15, we had asked Joe for an estimate for hooking up the icemaker in our freezer and installing a hose bib on our patio. Joe gave us the estimate and did all the work on these items on day 16. Week 4 of the job was the last week of the job. It focused on finishing the stairs, finishing the kitchen, and replacing the front door. On day 17, Joe went to Home Depot to pick up the front door and saw that the door had a dent in it. He would not accept that door and instead was able to get a replacement prepared on an expedited basis. Because of the damaged door, Joe and his crew had nothing to do on the next day (Tuesday). However, the door came in that night and on day 18, they removed the old door and frame and installed the new door, including the handle and deadbolt. On day 19, they installed the new oak wood handrails, which had been stained and polyurethaned to match the stairs. We had not originally planned to replace the handrails, but we are glad that Joe suggested we did. All in all, the job took less than 4 weeks to complete from start to finish, which was the original estimate. However, we had added on several jobs that were not originally planned. In addition, they lost a day when the front door came in dented. However, they gained two days by working on a Saturday and on July 4th. All in all, we were really impressed that they were able to complete everything within the allotted 4 weeks. In addition, the final price was almost identical to the estimate (there were minor adjustments due to materials that we chose during the job, change in materials, and related issues). On the Saturday after the job was completed, Joe and Janice came by to walk though the job and we paid the final 1/3 payment. We were extremely happy with the quality of the work, how quickly it got completed, and the professionalism of JC Remodeling. We have asked for an estimate to get some more work done in the future - and Joe took measurements when he was there that day. It has been about 10 days since the work was completed, and we could not be happier. It looks like we are living in a new house. When guests enter the house, they are awed by the amazing stairs and the beautiful kitchen. And our master bedroom and master bathroom are great. We will definitely recommend JC Remodeling to our friends and family. In fact, I have already suggested them to two of my colleagues at work!

I contracted with JC Remodeling to fix some random items that my tenant wanted fixed due to the fact that I am several states away. I was leaving the country on a business trip and JC Remodeling was able to work with my tenant to to get the work done. Everything was done without my direct involvement. While I have not directly seen the work, there have been no further complaints from my tenant. Everything was done on-time and on budget. I will continue to use JC Remodeling.

I didn’t get exactly what I was looking for. They came in to work and then they walked away. They didn’t give me an estimate as yet and they said they would send it to me via email.

Joe and his team are extremely responsive. They came as scheduled for the estimate, provided the quote the very next day, and provided service on the scheduled date. They were extremely helpful, honest, and curtious!

This was the second project I have hired JC to do. Both times they were professional and finished the work on time. The new door looks fantastic. I never realized how much air and sound the old door was letting in until we got the new one put in. Makes our whole living room much nicer. Also, with the nice wether the functional transom window is perfect for letting a nice breeze in the house. I would recommend JC for any project.

This my second time using J C Remodeling, and I am just as happy the second time around. They performed two pieces of work for me: The ceramic tile in my downstairs bathroom and shower were cleaned, re-grouted in certain areas, and sealed. The ceramic tile in my basement bathroom was not originally sealed properly (if at all), so as a result of some wear & tear and cleaning supplies, there was a little flaking on the tiles in one area. Additionally, there were some cracks in the grout in one corner that we noticed. J C Remodeling was contracted to repair the grout and clean & seal the tile. This was done correctly, and our floors and shower look great. My under-mount kitchen sink we remounted to my granite counter tops & new caulk was applied. My sink was never mounted properly when we purchased the house a few years ago so we wanted to have the sink remounted correctly to avoid the sink falling further. As a result of the sink not being correctly mounted in the beginning, the existing caulking needed to be replaced. J C Remodeling remounted the sink, cleaned out all the old caulk, and re-caulked it. They even suggested black caulk to match the black granite counter tops - instead of the white caulk that had been there - and it looks fantastic! The black caulk definitely was a good idea. My only regret is that we didn't do this earlier! J C Remodeling was on-time, professional, clean, the finished product look great, and most importantly - it was done correctly. Like the last time, I plan on using them again and recommending them to anyone needing work done

They put a different kind of drain in to solve the problem. He knew exactly what he was doing and did it right.

I have used JC Remodeling extensively in the past year for both interior and exterior work. The owner, Joe, has a very professional crew and is on the job himself. They did repairs to the ceiling of the dining room, painted the living room ceiling as well as the wrought iron handrail on the stairs. The wrought iron railings on the front steps were removed and replaced wih white vinyl railings with pickets. The foundation was power washed and painted. Electrical power was brought tothe garage, new lights were installed as well as two garage door openers. Two storm doors and two entry doors were also installed. Joe made several suggestions that both saved some money and improved the operation of the doors. One set of doors had to be cut down from the standard heighth. This was done without compromising the integrity of the doors. The installation of the doors was done with skill and professionalism. All of the work mentioned was professionally done and finished on time. I highly recommended JC Remodeling and will use them in the future.

I highly recommend JC Remodeling. Joe and his crew provided excellent service from beginning to end. The two new bedrooms look like they were always there. Time and care was spent to ensure everything went in perfectly. During the whole process Joe kept me informed about what was going on and recommendations to help improve the final product. He was also receptive to any requested changes. First thing they did every morning was to put drop clothes down anywhere they were going to step and the last thing they did everyday was to vacuum up any dust they created. Every day the house was left spotless and I couldn't happier with the finished job. One of the best contractors I have dealt with.

Janice, Joe, & Javier were great. I would not hesitate to use them in the future and neither should you! As stated, I found JC Remodeling on Angie's List and hired them to repair some cracked & damaged drywall walls, repair a crack in the dining room ceiling, repair a water damaged portion of my ceiling in the living room, and paint the basement ceiling. JC Remodeling went above and beyond the scope of work, playing close attention to details, and performing several small additional work to make everything look right. At the end of every day, they cleaned up the work area, and were meticulous in cleaning up any other areas. I have absolutely no complaints about any of the work performed. Everyone at JC Remodeling that I dealt with was completely professional The work was completed in time and for the quoted price They cleaned up the work areas at the end of each day They included several small items and details that were outside the original scope of work to make sure that everything was done correctly and looked right The end result looked stunning! The cracks are gone, the paint looks great, the ceiling is fixed, and it all looks better than the day we purchased the house I had been trying to get some one else to perform the work, and I am glad that it didn't work out. I am completely happy with the work from JC Remodeling.I plan on using them for some projects again in the near future.

Excellent. This was a relatively small job for them and they were able to fit me in quickly. They arrived on time and completed the major work in a few hours. Javier even caulked numerous cracks in one of the ceilings, which was above and beyond what I had asked for. They returned for quick visits several times after that to finish sanding and checking on one spot that was drying slowly. They came when it was convenient for me. Joe was generous with advice about a couple of other problems, as well. The finished job looks good and ready for me to paint. I would certainly use them again and recommend them to others.

We could not have been any happier!! The work was completed within the initial time frame dicussed. What a Great experience!!

Owner called me back the next day. Unfortunately He was too busy from all the storms we had recently and was approximately three weeks backed up so couldn't help me at this time:(
