Franklin Appliance has done work for us in the past, on our refrigerator (control board), washer, and dryer. We recently experienced a problem with the washer once again. When I called, I was told by the receptionist that he no longer will work on front load washers or stacking machines. I was told that he's so busy that he turns down work he really doesn't want. Luckily, with a washer full of water and sopping wet clothes, I was able to find another repairman nearby. Too bad I don't see him on Angie's List or I would recommend THAT repairman completely. A shame that as a loyal repeat customer, Franklin Appliance didn't even return my call to discuss the problem, as promised by the receptionist. He did fine on our repairs in the past, but turn me down in my hour of need and I won't be back to check if he is willing to work for me next time.
Description of Work: Repaired gas dryer, by replacing two small coils. Also worked on refrigerator in the past. But now refuses to work on any front loading washer or stacked pair.

Approximately 30-year-old Kenmore Refrigerator stopped working and food began to defrost. I realized we may have reached end of life for this appliance which was a double door side-by-side unit with ice-maker and cold water dispenser. Mr. Franklin came promptly and determined that a cooling fan on the condenser was not working right. He replaced the fan and the refrigerator began working normally again. He did not bill me immediately to make sure this part really fixed the problem. A few weeks later, the unit is still working fine. The repair included the part, the service call charge and labor.
Description of Work: Repaired a 30-year-old Kenmore refrigerator by replacing a cooling fan which apparently was not working, caused the condenser to overheat and shut down.
