Description of Work: Had an issue with my washing machine - it would not spin clothes past sopping wet. Tech shows up and claims the washer is fine, offers to sell me a service contract "in case there are future issues". I knew the washer was broken but the tech claimed it was fine. Bought the service contract and called a few days later - the same issue. SAME tech shows up the next day with a part that magically fixes the washer. Sounds like I got scammed into buying a service contract instead of them just fixing the washer to begin with. It did fix the problem, though.

Description of Work: refrigerator repair took a month three service calls and over 300.00 dollars to repair refrigerator topped it off by telling me they didn,t charge enough for a part on last visit I have bought sears products for 50 years never again after this experence

Description of Work: Came ask me what the problem was. then he proceed to check the problem and told me each step he was doing. Unfortunately to have the job fixed it would cost to much, it was better if I bought a new appliance. I was quite satisfied with the service. I thought it was a little expensive to come the house for evaluation. I tried a couple of the guys on you list who expressed they do not work on Samsungs and LG applicanses. |

+ -1 moreIt was a great experience. They were punctual at showing up. They did give a quote initially that was a little higher than what we ended up spending. They said they would match price match on other estimates if they were not the lowest. They did match the price of a competitor. The time frame was around a 2 week period, whereas the competitor was around 6 weeks.

Description of Work: I tried to buy a dishwasher from Sears Willow Grove. The salesperson talked to me about delivery and installation for which I was paying about $180. The first appointment for installation, the technician called to say that his truck broke down. The next appointment date ( another missed work day) the technician, John, told me that it would cost an additional $500. for installation (more than the cost of the dishwasher). When I questioned him on it, he showed me a book with "Sear's Upfront Pricing" printed on it. That was the first time I saw anything about additional charges. The technician insisted that I needed new electrical and a new hose connection. Both he and I were on the phone to Sear's installation. At the end I refused to complete the sale of the appliance or the installation. Sears Willow Grove would not take the charge off my bill by phone, but made me come into the store to have the charge removed.

+ -1 moreThey came out to take care of it. It was a lady technician who came out and she did a really great job. She replaced a filter that had stopped working. She did a great job because she ended up cleaning my whole system. I had this chopping piece replaced a few times before. She came in and was here for an hour and she fixed it up. It works great now. They didn't charge me anything as it was under a warranty. The only thing that I didn't particularly like was that it took a really long time to get an appointment. I have a contract with them. When they come out they do a good job. It is just that their appointments are a little annoying.

+ 0 moreOur water heater busted and flooded our basement 5 yrs ago, so like most we went to sears to buy a new water heater. Now being five years later the water heater we purchased from sears is leaking and re-flooding our basement. This is an emergency situation so i thought, but to sears our flooding basement because of their water heater (which by the way is covered under warranty) is apparently an issue thats going to have to wait for 2 weeks to be serviced. I spoke to about 6 different people and a supervisor all of which are useless~they have no emergency service for anything, so if you ever decide to buy a major appliance just beware that the knowledge of their technicians are dismal and their service crap. I will never again recommend or purchase anything from there again.
