Description of Work: We had very little insulation in our attic. They came, removed the old stuff, checked for leaky or open spots and replaced and added insulation, both the batted kind and blown in. Their price was almost half what I was quoted by an HVAC company, and a handyman.

Description of Work: Proposed very unorthodox approach to insulation, namely. removing insulation from the room below the kitchen which was cold rather than putting any insulation in the kitchen itself. And estimate was quite high for mostly "deconstruction" work. Got a second opinion from another insulation person who said proposal was crazy and presented reasonable plan to actually insulate the kitchen.

I would like to see your proposal because you must be mistaken. We are a full service insulation company in business since 1957. Marty who most likely came to see you does 5 or 6 estimates per day and has over 20 years of expertise as first an installer, crew leader then as a salesman. He is now a partner in the company and is extremely knowledgeable. Some of my installers have been here almost 20 years. Is your kitchen over the garage? We have insulated close to 100,000 homes in the Delaware Valley (new and existing combined) in the past 58 years so I'm sure we could have improved yours. We work for major Developers as well as small and large GCs as well as home owners. Commercial buildings, spray foam, cellulose and fiberglass. I doubt anyone on Craigslist has been in the insulation business as long as we have. The Mark Group has been around 4 years and are now belly up out of business. Please call me because your post really has me confused. You gave us a D rating and we didn't even use our services. Description of Work: We have used this company twice for 2 different jobs. The first time I called around and got multiple estimates, they weren't the cheapest and not the most expensive. However, they showed up on-time, cleaned up and did an excellent job. I have recommended them to friends, and my contractor liked their work so much he will be using them.
