It went fine. No problems.

Very professional service. No problems contacting this company. Estimator came out quickly and provided professional estimate for landscaping large bed with railroad/wood ties and installing long inground french drain. Also estimated approx 100' of fencing. Estimate was provided in a timely manner. Considered using this company but we decided to go with another contractor who offered more competitive price.

Oscar and his crew were very professional and worked all day..approximately 9 hours. Did a great job and I would hire them again for sure.

Nothing but great things to say about this company. They were extremely helpful and responsive from the start. Oscar, who was our main point of contact on the project, was extremely professional, helpful and accommodating. He took the time to walk us through our options, making a couple of trips before we made our decision to walk us through his design idea. He arrived on site the day he said he would, and he and his team did excellent work. What's best, we had a few minor change requests to the project after they had completed the work. Oscar never had an issue with coming back, as he made two additional trips to our home to make sure our project was completed just as we requested. This company goes above and beyond to ensure your garden or lawn project is completed exactly as you want it to be. Their price was a bit steep, but was fair relative to other estimates we received. My wife and I are already thinking of using them for continuous lawn care and a few projects we have in mind for this fall. Do yourself a favor: use Bill Johnston Landscaping for your garden needs!

He did a good job on that, but I will wait until it rains so that I can see if it really works. He was actually referred by my cousin, but I did look him up and he seemed to have a good mark in Angie's List.

He comes out every other week.

I like that he is very dependable. The prices are no cheap, but he really does a good job.

My lawn mower broke down and my grass was getting embarrassing. He was one of only two or three landscaper/lawn maintenance contractors that actually called me back. He came out and I explained that I needed my grass cut immediately since it was going to be a while before my mower was repaired. He put me on the schedule and did the job a couple of days later. They did very nice work; I don't think my lawn ever looked so good. A few weeks passed and I finally got the bill. Turns out they had cut my grass three times; apparently I got put on their regular rotation. Of course, I should have noticed that my lawn was looking so nice without having to cut it, so I bear some responsibility for the situation (in my defense, I just thought the grass wasn't growing because it was reaching the end of the growing season). I called and left a message telling him to take me off their rotation. They did nice work, but because of the communication problem, I won't be using them again.

Mr. Johnston came out to look over job. He said he would e-mail an estimate. About 5 days later, I still hadn't received anything, so I e-mailed asking when I could expect the estimate. I did not receive a reply. Approximately 4 weeks after he came to look at the job, I received an estimate by e-mail. By that time, I had alread had the work done by another contractor. I understand that Spring is a busy time, but when I e-mailed him to inquire about the estimate, someone could have at least responded to let me know how backed up they were.

They were friendly and professional during the estimate process, though they seemed a little more interested in making a connection with my husband then finding out what we wanted done in the yard. There were three different things that we wanted to get done... the estimate came back with only one of those things listed and that was not what I asked for. I wanted to create some privacy in the backyard with some plantings but specifically staed that I did NOT want a wall of green to block everything out completely. I wanted line of sight plantings. The estimate that we got was for a wall of green. Disappointing.

Bill Johnston's landscapers did an incredible job bringing our property back to life and order. The initial work involved trimming all the hedges on the property, mowing, and removal of all weeds. His team worked quickly and efficiently. His foreman was extremely courteous, listened carefully to all requests, and saw that they were carried out. Since the initial clean-up, we have moved to a weekly maintenance plan. Bill and his office staff have also been extremely responsive, friendly, and quick to return calls. We couldn't be more delighted with the work they have done or the high level of customer service.

I had used this company in the past. When I needed to find someone this year, I called on Bill's, they came out within a few days, did a thorough job of cleaning up the yard before doing the first mowing of the spring. They did a nice job. I plan on using them the rest of the year.

I USED THE FIRM NEARLY 10 YEARS AND WAS EXTREMELY SATISFIED WITH SERVICE AND PROFESSIONALISM OF THE CREW. THEY BECAME VERY EXPENSIVE AND THE SERVICE WENT DOWN HILL. IT TOOK ME MONTHS TO GET THEM TO FINISH JOBS AND REPAIR DAMAGE THAT THE CREW INFLICTED.
