Hilltech Heating & Air Conditioning

Hilltech came out and put an air conditioning unit in my parents home. My dad just retired this year and my mom has been a house-wife for 47 years, they never had air conditioning through out their home. Hilltech had it all done in a day. My mom loved the fact that they were done by 430 and her house was cool by 6. my dad loved the fact that the unit was very quite. overall they came in did the job, answered all the questions cleaned up ad left by 4:30.

They finished the work in just a couple hours. Another element in the air conditioner went bad too, and they fixed that for us too

Kudos to Dave, the owner, for fixing my air conditioning unit. I originally called Hilltech HVAC to get a quote on an A/C unit that would not start-up the first time using it but he took it upon himself to begin diagnosing the problem. Dave discovered that a wire connecting the furnace to the furnace control board that controlled the outside A/C unit had been completely removed and was thrown on top of the duct work in the attic. During the winter my furnace needed a new control board that another HVAC contractor had replaced. Since both units were Carrier products, I had used the same HVAC contractor that carried these products over the years for all repairs and service. Thank you Dave for fixing my system and being honest with me. What would cost me thousands of dollars cost me $100.00 to fix the unit. I realize that I am on borrowed time with both 20+ year old units but to intentionally sabotage a unit in hopes that new business will come your way in the future is B.S. I will certainly be calling Hilltech HVAC in the further. The other guy, not so much!!!

It went great. They again arrived on time, were professional, and made sure that by Friday we had a NEW FURNACE and heat. They cleaned up and answered any questions we had. Several minor expenses creeped up HOWEVER we were not charged and Hilltech stuck to contractual price. The Team at Hilltech restored my faith in contractors. Thank you, kelly and jason edwards

Very well! They were thorough, no short-cuts, left the job sites cleaned and took away all debris. All personnel, including office personnel we interacted with via phone were very professional and personable. We highly recommend Hilltech and would use their services again. Bonus: the system is easy to use and provides needed heat and AC. Am delighted by how quickly the system flips from cool to heat; easy system to use.

Spoke to them on phone about what was needed. Was given two tentative appointments. Was quoted $125 plus parts. Ended up being $125 just to show up. Ended up $125 - service $15 - parts $85 - labor $20 - drive up fee $9.80 - tax They were here for about two hours. Boiler works but they were not up front on pricing. With a $125 quote for cleaning, Bill ended up $254.80.

Everything went off without any issue from the initial visit to determine the estimate/scope of the job, to helping with financing, to installation.

Owner of company arrived in a timely manner and greeted my wife and I with a very pleasant and ambitious gesture ready to answer questions and get to work figureing out a plan to accomplish our goals even though it was late in the day. He made it clear we had good options for both cooling and heating and was upfront about costs before pushing to sell his services that day. After looking at the house he sat down at our table and gave us a quote for the boiler and asnswered all of our questions with concrete perceptive answers. It was a breath of fresh air to be given good information and to spend the time with us even though it was a free consultation. From the phone call to the company with an amazing receptionist to the time the owner left our property I was impressed.

Dave and his men were very professional and courteous from the beginning of the project until the end. Dave estimated the size system I needed and he was right on with the estimation. My system works perfectly and I have had no problems with it. I love the variable speed fan in the Bryant system and the free air conditioning in the summer is fantastic. No more loud, cranky window air conditioning boxes.

They had to come back because I either have a chipmunk or kitten who is chewing on my wiring and shorting my furnace. The price was high, but it was central air. I had air conditioners and I couldn't move them anymore. I have a Cape Cod so they had to put a unit on each floor. The price was a little hefty. It was two workers. It took three days.

Still waiting for them to show up. The could have called if they decided they didn't want the job. Hired another contractor. Mistakes happen. It is my hope that potential customers read this as an "F" rating seems pretty harsh and may not accurately reflect the skill of the provider. So the rating needs to be tempered with the understanding that the quality of their work is unknown because they never showed up.

Went very timely and smooth. I had already identified the problem. A technician from Hilltech Heating & Air Conditioning came and verified the situation, pulled the electric igniter, went to retrieve, returned and installed the new electric igniter. All said and done, from the time contact was made with Hilltech Heating & Air Conditioning until the time heat was again pumping through the vents was less than an hour. Quick, Courteous and a fair price. I would recommend and will continue to use.

Prompt response to inquiry; took the time to explain all the options and explained the reasoning behind each choice. Gave us clear directions to pursue financing; set a date for installation quickly; arrived as agreed; Dave and his crew were professional and thorough; prior to the installation, they came at a separate time to remove the old air conditioner for us and covered the hole left in the wall; after installation, dave explained the operating of the unit; returned several months later to cover the wires that couldn't be covered until another project had been completed. Both Dave and his wife have been very accommodating.

When other HVAC service providers in the area wouldn't return phone calls or keep appointments, Hilltech responded promptly and courteously, gave an accurate estimate, arrived on time, and provided the service they were contracted for without trying to upsell or hard sell anything additional. The work crew from Hilltech had a cancellation in their schedule so they called to see if they could come 2 days earlier than agreed upon. This was really good for us. They said the job would take 2 days and it did, just like they said it would. We had trouble with the thermostat the first night and we did not call them. The next day when they came to finish the job and they learned we had problems the night before they said, "Don't ever do that again. Call us with any problems. It doesn't matter if it is 2 AM, we want you to call us." We have 2 dogs that we tried to keep out of their way, but once in awhile they got underfoot. The workmen were so kind. They said they had dogs and understood. They worked steadily and cleaned up after themselves. Before we had the work done, we went online and priced the units they were going to put in and when we were quoted the price for the job it was almost half what we thought it was going to be. We have been using the heating system for a week now. It is great!

See above--would NEVER call them again and would NOT recommend them to my worst enemy!

I called Hilltech for a quote for a new air conditioning unit. The sales rep arrived on time and gave me an instant quote on the spot. When I agreed to have the work done he set up the date and time for installation right then. On the date of the installation they arrived on time and started work with removing the old unit. By the end of the day my air conditioner was up and running. Everyone was professional and very knowledgeable on the type of unit that I needed. I highly recommend Hilltech for all their air conditioning needs.

Began with thorough inspection of current system and review of problems we were experiencing. The only contractor out of the three we talked to that did this step. Addressed many potential problems prior to work. Arrived on time & introduced team and got started. Very impressed with cleanliness...during and after. Fully reviewed at end of project. Bonus was an increase in the rebate! All in all very happy. Highly recommend Hilltech.

These guys were fabulous. Excellent customer service which I did not get from the contractor who installed the system. Hilltech doesn't sell Comfortstar systems but they worked on it like it was a product they installed. I couldn't thank them enough and even though I had to pay for a service call, it was well worth it compared to the clueless technicians that installed it in the first place and had no clue to what the problem was. I just wished I did my homework better and went with Hilltech from the start. If I ever have to replace the system, this company is the first one I'm calling. I learned a hard less that the lowest price isn't always the better deal. Quality product and quality service is just important and Hilltech showed me that with their professional work.

Very well. had them come back in November 2014 to convert oil furnace to gas.

We were told by another company that we needed a new furnace so, based on recommendations on Angie's List, I called Hilltech for a second opinion. They were very understanding and knew I was distressed about the news of needing a new furnace in a house we just bought and were at the house in 1/2 an hour. The owner himself came out and did a thorough check of the furnace, taking his time to explain everything to us. He tested the air quality and made some adjustments that were needed to make it burn more efficiently. We didn't need a new furnace. The office then set up an appointment for that afternoon to have the furnace cleaned and again, a very thorough job. They made sure it was done right and addressed all of our concerns. The furnace hadn't been cleaned in years and they were very patient in checking and replacing and cleaning everything while we asked questions. This company is one that you can trust to do you right. Their motto seems to be that if they treat everyone well, then they will keep coming back. And they are right!

We did not accept the bid as it was too high.

Hilltech scheduled the work for the next week (Monday and Tuesday). Mr. Hill and two helpers arrived on time and got the job done on time. We are very satisfied with the work that was done, the quality of their products and the price. Our sons now have a new efficient gas furnace with humidifier with new thermostat, a new air conditioner and hot water heater. I have to share the following to show that this contractor went out of his way to help with an unexpected problem I ran into. While Mr. Hill's team was installing the gas furnace downstairs, I discovered a leak under the kitchen sink which was shooting out water when the dishwasher drained. I told Mr. Hill about my problem and he helped me out by coming upstairs and tightening the pipes and he stopped the leak. It meant a lot to me to get that help when I needed it.
