Most horrible experience I ever had in a purchase. We had this installed in April 2014 and the system had problems from the start. Their technicians came back during the summer three times because it wasn't cooling well. They replaced plastic fittings with metal fittings in the compressor and it improved the cooling somewhat. A few days before Christmas, the mini splits were stuck in defrost mode and wouldn't produce any heat. The technician said the boards went bad and it would take a week before they would come in and be replaced. Didn't hear from them for two months. No one answers the phone in the office and it goes to voicemail. They never return your phone calls. Finally, they called approximately Feb 18-19 and said they will install the boards. The technicians installed the new boards and the mini splits would not work. Waited a week and called again and no answer. Finally, the owner Rocky Lane calls and said that Comfortstar is redesigning the boards and we would have them no later than a month from now. Well, it's March 17th and still no word on the mini split boards. Technicians showed up on March 25. I asked about the new boards and they said the problem wasn't the boards but too much electricity coming in the house that was causing the problem. I had Pennsylvania Power and Electric do a voltage check and they said it was at normal level. I had an electrician tell us that it is more product failure than an electrical issue. So, after three months we have nothing because they disconnected the electricity to the pump. After talking to the manufacturer Comfortstar, they agree to have us bring in another heating and cooling contractor to look at this system. The contractor said the problem wasn't the electricity going to the house or a problem with the mini split boards. The problem was it was poorly installed. Refrigeration leaked from the lines not being properly tighten down to the compressor. After two hours, the contractor was able to tighten everything and add refrigeration which brought the mini splits out of defrost mode. System works fine now. And, they don't even deal with Comfortstar products yet they were able to fix it that Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning in three months.

Very bad and costly. Comfort installed a new Heat Pump System in my home.I kept having trouble with it and have them come back. After 4 years and many service calls.plus 3 new compressors,I still had problems. I had to hire another Heat Pump installer to check it and show me what was wrong. It needed a whole new system. The condenser was leaking freon from new and Comfort's service man couldn't find what was wrong. When it was pointed out to the new service man from Comfort, he agreed with the finding of the service man from the other Company. After 3 months of haggeling Comfort offered me an acceptable price on a new different brand Heat pump System. A month after they installed it, the air condition quit working. I called to have them come check it out. They told me their was no warrenty on this new unit and if I wanted them to ckeck it I would have to pay another service cost.
