After all of the fuwtration, being told thr wrong address, wrong service provided, I wanted to speak to a manager, so I then got transfered to the same jerk I just spoke with in the phone. Glad no one cares if I have a complaint. I ended up wasting 2 hours to pay for a service.

You have to move your own stuff out of the way because they don’t move anything.

I felt carpets could have been cleaned better.

Let me start by saying I never write reviews. Especially bad ones. I usually suck it up as lesson learned and move on. But I felt an overwhelming need to write this one. Especially after the good reviews I read which made me trust and believe in this company in the first place. I felt as if I should warn people that all is not as it seems, because I doubt people clean their carpets themselves on the heels of having a so called professional do it. I called Stanley Steemer due to all the good reviews I read on Angie's List about the company. Originally they were supposed to come on 6/8/2015. However I received a call about one of the workers getting stung by several yellow jackets and had to be rushed to the emergency room. I, of course told them not to worry about it and rescheduled for the following day. The crew showed up. Introduced themselves. I felt they were friendly and polite. I showed them where specifically I really needed it cleaned which was pretty much everywhere except for under the couch as there has always been a piece of furniture there and it's a very heavy piece of furniture to move. I explained that the main problem is the wet dog scent in the carpet as it's been a pretty rainy season and my goal was to get it cleaned and more specifically get rid of the smell. They proceeded to clean the carpet while I watched. I thought it was odd that they only went over it once and seemed to be pulling the wand across the floor fairly quickly considering it's a thicker carpet. I would have thought that you'd need to go over it more than once and move much slower in order to properly pull the dirt and water up. But they were the professionals. The whole process took less than 30 minutes. Then they put these blocks under the wood legs of my lazy boy recliners explaining that this was necessary to do until the carpet dried which takes about 3 days. They then sprayed this deodorizer around the room on the carpet. Ending with using what they called a rake on the carpet. I paid the bill, tipped them both and said goodbye. Three days ended up being more like 5 days. The carpet was drenched! The bigger surprise was how ungodly it smelled in my house by the time it did dry. If anything, the wet dog smell got worse! The $50+ extra that I paid for for the deodorizer was a complete waste of money. I could have paid $2 for a can of febreeze and sprayed it on my carpet myself and it probably would have smelt better and lasted longer then what they sprayed. Needless to say, I was extremely irritated and disappointed. As they say, if you want it done right, do it yourself. I decided to buy a carpet cleaner yesterday because if I didnt, I was ripping the carpet out completely. It is a Hoover MAXExtract Dual V. I bought the carpet cleaning solution specifically for pet odors. This carpet cleaner with the cleaning solution cost me about the same as it did to have Stanely Steemer come to my home. Here is the kick in the teeth. The water was nearly black after cleaning only half of the carpet!! It was like I had never had it cleaned at all! I was completely disgusted. I proceeded to finish cleaning the carpet. It's already completely dry. (Less than 24 hours since I cleaned it.) The smell is completely gone. Lesson learned my friends. Just because they make it look clean, clearly doesn't mean it is. In the end, I feel like I was ripped off. It was a complete scam. I feel like they soaked and fluffed my carpet to make it appear as though it was cleaned, but really did nothing to actually clean it! Will NEVER call this company again and certainly would NEVER recommend them to anyone.

I was very pleased with the job Stanley steemer of Wilkes-Barre did at my mothers house. Two large rooms were cleaned and the hallway. They arrived on time and did a professional job.... Thank you very much! The price was also very reasonable. I would definitely use them again.

After shampooing the carpet area and beginning the kitchen tile floor their machinery broke down. The men did everything they could to get it repaired however they had to come back the next day. The workers were gentlemen and knew what they were doing. They were wonderful. I was not satisfied with their supervisor--never had the decency or expertise to contact me and discuss the problem and reschedule a return date. They did return the following day and did a nice job on the tile. They have excellent//friendly employees. Management needs to pay more attention to customer service--you dropped the ball!!

Our experience with Stanley Steemer - Wilkes-Barre went fine. They did a great job. We've been using them for 13 years. I like their easy scheduling, high quality of work and professional staff.

They did carpet cleaning for me. Even after they did my service six months ago, they still check up on the job and make sure if there is anything else that they can do. They keep in touch often.

They removed the ruined objects and cleaned up and sanitized the floor. I was not happy with their cleaning job and the mess they made coming in and out. This happened during the last flood, but I thought I'd put this in now because of all the rain we are having - which last night caused by sewer to back up. People will be looking for help. Don't call Stanley Steemer. No matter what they say, they clean carpets - period.
