SMITH BLACKTOPPING

The owner came out in May and gave us a quote which we approved a couple of days later. They promised the job would be done within 6-8 weeks because he was behind due to weather. In late July to get an ETA and are told in a week or two. It is now September, the project is not only not started but we haven't heard from them and we are searching for a new provider.

Dan Smith personally came to my house and spoke to me on what needed to be done. He had a cancellation and was able to come pave my driveway sooner than expected which was a great plus. He was very professional and came when he said he would. He took his time and did the work himself to make sure it was perfect. I couldn't ask for a better job. The total thickness of my driveway was 4 1/2 inches for 1800sq ft. I wanted to make sure it would handle heavy trucks. The driveway turned out better than I expected. Next time I won't waste time getting estimates I will just call Dan Smith and have him perform the work. It was terrible dealing with other companies trying to get estimates.

Called several times to get an estimate to remove existing (crumbling) driveway. Driveway measured 225' long. Opened to an area that was 45'x35'. Not even a return phone call despite leaving several messages. Hired Pezz N Tini paving instead. Don't waste your time or phone call with Smith. They won't call you back.

They were reasonable at that time because the gas price does go up and so does the black topping. They do a professional job.

Smith Blacktopping were cheaper than everybody else we got quoted for and they provided more asphalt than all the rest. Their service was awesome. I will absolutely use them again.

The driveway was excellent, top notch. The amount of asphalt they put in was like highway. They did a wonderful job. It was probably five years ago and there are still no cracks. The asphalt was at least 2-3 inches thick. The people would come and they were astonished at the quality. They showed up on time.

When I called to have them come and give me an estimate on re doing a existing driveway first I was put on hold for about 5 minutes. And then I was told I would be contacted that evening it never happened.

Contractor returned my phone calls and promptly gave me an estimate for the job. He also let me know about when I could expect a call from him to schedule the job. Because of a cancellation, he was able to do the job much sooner than expected. He accommodated me as I have to leave my home very early in the morning, and he was here before I left for work so that I could specify exactly where I wanted the blacktopping to extend to on my property. The blacktopping was applied exactly where I wanted and did not go beyond my property line. The job was done beautifully, without any complications. Would highly recommend.

He did a great job. Water runs off in two different directions. Completion was done on time and just as it was proposed. I would highly recommend them.

Excellent. Could not have done a better job. Have had strangers come and ask who paved my driveway. Even had a man from the company who was paving the road ask who did my driveway and complement on what a good job it was.
