+ -1 moreHe was hired to do a home inspection on a house we were buying. Being first time homeowners we put complete trust into him. The day we moved in (it was raining of course) I heard a drip. The roof was leaking and it had come through the drywall and was leaking onto our floor. How could that be? We JUST had an inspection. Found out that the guy he sent out didn’t go into our cubby hole (because there were boxes in the way and he was unable to move them which was a lie) but had he went in there he would have noticed the mold growing inside from the constant water leak. Argued with Paul and he did pay for the repair. Come to find out we have another leak. This time I had a contractor come out, after 4 estimates I’ve found out I need a brand new roof. How could he miss that? The shingles are not even on straight. It doesn’t take a roofer to notice that’s not right. Would never put my home in his hands.

+ -1 moreOverall it went well, however, he missed testing the smoke alarms otherwise I would have given an A rating. Seemed to be a little in a rush but was prompt for the appointment, courteous and professional. Report was available the next day (with pictures). Would have liked to have had the report on site.

+ -1 morePaul arrived early at the home we needed inspected for our 203K loan. He inspected the home which was a 2 family, from top top bottom. Tested all plumbing and pointed out everything that needed attention. He answered all of our questions, explaining everything in complete detail as to ensure we understood everything. He tested for radon, which was something that was not a requirement for our loan, but we had requested. His report was thorough and well put together. His pleasant professional attitude and knowledge was worth every cent. We definately felt we got more then we paid for. His office was great and made sure we were emailed a copy of the report for our personal records.
Description of Work: Complete FHA 203K loan inspection including our request for Radon testing.

+ -1 moreWhere I initially had no clue as to where leaks were coming from , Paul was able to quickly identify the causes of my water woes. For the cost involved, I thought the investigation done was well worth it. Following the investigation, Paul prepared a detailed report with recommendations to rectify water damage in the home. I would strongly recommend Paul's services for anyone experiencing similar difficulties.
Description of Work: In the last few years, my home has had severe water/moisture infiltration problems, cause unknown. Selecting Paul to investigate the matter was the best move I've made in dealing with these concerns. Paul thoroughly examined all possible culprits in causing water damage, and developed a comprehensive list detailing entry points of said moisture/ water. From this detailed list, I now have a practical starting point developed from which I can address these problems.

+ -1 moreStory was told above. Let's just say that I came away feeling that the $359 spent was actually a bargain price!
Description of Work: Perhaps because service in general is so lousy these days, but when you are lucky enough to run into someone like Paul Bukeavich you just need to share it with the world. I'm 63 and buying only the second house in my life. I'm a total dunce when it comes to being handy so I was somewhat nervous about this whole process. Paul, who spent 2.5 hours on this inspection and ended up sopping wet from his efforts, was so thorough in his efforts, so willing to explain anything and everythign to someone as handy-man challenged as me, so professional and so pleasant (I only wish my doctor had his bedside manner!) that I actually felt happy when we were done. As for the inspection itself, he checked everything from whether the sump pumps worked to a walk on the roof, to finding out that that the attic had no center beam (or something like that) to even unearthing a possible health hazard with a pipe from the gas furnace that might not let a dangerous gas build up escape. He also took endless photos and summarized it all in a wonderful 27-page report that is going to be perfect as my "to do" list not only in final negotiations with the seller but in knowing in the tiniest detail exactly what I need to work on over the next couple of years. So, in all, a A+. If you need someone to do this service, I can't think of anyone better than Paul.
