Description of Work: I want to express how happy we were with the repair of our home's chimney. It was starting to deteriorate - chunks of the white stucco were falling onto the yard and the cement block underneath was starting to crumble. I found several masons on Angie's List and called some. We were most impressed with Dempski Masonry. When we called Brin, he quickly came out to our house and gave us a quote on replacing several tiers of the top cement blocks and refinishing the exterior of the chimney. We scheduled the repair. Brin and his team were very professional, working long hours each day and cleaning up everything every day before leaving. We now have a beautiful chimney that adds value to our home. We will contact Dempski Masonry for future projects. We couldn't ask for a better masonry team!

+ -1 moreSent an email from Angie's list, to which he never responded. My driveway needs to be repaired or partially replaced. Called in May and got a call back a few days later. Very pleasant and agreed to stop by and check my driveway to provide an estimate. After a week or so went by, he called to apologize, said he got busy but promised to stop by the next day. Sometime in late June or early July, I called to see if he ever did my estimate. He said no, he was sorry, promised to stop by that week. Never heard from him again. Gave up.
Description of Work: Obviously too busy for smaller jobs.

+ -1 moreI am extremely happy with everything about this project. From getting an estimate to the finished product, the entire process was easy and enjoyable. Brin is a very talented mason! He will definitely be back for other projects at my house.
Description of Work: Tore out an old concrete stoop and poured a new, wider concrete one. Also, replaced siding where old handrails were taken off the house.

+ -1 moreThe old stone foundation was looking pretty shabby. In less than a week, Mr. Dempski installed a wire mesh over the existing exterior and parged over it with concrete, then for the areas where the foundation was visible, applied a and quot;top coatand quot; of custom-colored concrete to finish the job. He also applied rubber waterproofing down to the footer in a section of the foundation where I have noticed a small water leak coming into the basement during very heavy rains. I lost that 'old stone' look and now the foundation looks (and is) smooth and strong. Mr. Dempski is very friendly, customer-focused, and works very cleanly, he left no trace that he was there other than the finished product, which looks great! I will definitely be contacting him for any future masonry work.
Description of Work: Mr. Dempski resurfaced the foundation exterior of my 100+ year old home, and applied water-proofing on a section where water was infiltrating into the basement.

+ -1 moreOverall it went well. It took a while to get going, but once it did Brin did exactly what he said he would. The only word of caution I would provide is to ask what color everything will be. I never even thought of it and now I have to try and find some exterior paint to try and match the color of the house for the areas that were patched. Good solid work, but it stands out pretty bad. At least it won't be falling down now!!!
Description of Work: Remove deteriorating blocks from my detached garage and replace with new standard cinderblock. Then after repairing the damage, Brin put new stuco on the old foundation, the new block and patched areas around my home that were also starting to deteriorate.

+ 0 moreThis job took four days to complete, working a few hours a day. I was expecting alot of noise from the jackhammer being used to remove the old sidewalk, but it wasn't as loud as I thought it would be. The job was done quickly and very efficiently. I now have the most beautiful sidewalk on the block! My neighbor was even allowed the use of their wheelbarrow and leftover cement to repair his own sidewalk. Mr. Dempski always called or came over when he said he would so I was not left waiting to hear from him. He will also come back in the fall to apply a sealer. :O)
Description of Work: Broken sidewalk in front of my house was replaced.

+ 0 moreHe did a fantastic job, at what I think is a most reasonable price. He did it in a timely fashion. He was a true mason, rather than someone who says, I do brickwork.
Description of Work: He redid the steps, leading from my walkway up to my porch. He also reset the wrought iron railing and increased the amount of steps to my specification.
