Utter lack of professionalism, lack of knowledge in cabinetry and kitchen design, lack of quality control, as well as a lack of courtesy and customer service from the staff at the Levittown/Bristol, PA facility. I will NEVER recommend someone go to this company for their cabinetry needs or kitchen design projects. And, in fact, you can rest assured that whenever I hear or see the name Solid Wood Cabinet Company I will warn the person or persons to stay as far away from this company as possible and will offer them several of their competitors’ information instead. I will proceed to explain to them the incredible disappointment they will dodge by contracting with a company other than Solid Wood Cabinet Company. I am absolutely disappointed and downright disgusted with the service, or lack thereof, this company has provided from start to finish with my kitchen remodel. Their salesperson and designer Natalia Panczyszyn has proven to be absolutely incompetent at her job. She is not fit in any way, shape, or form to design a kitchen or cabinetry solution. The Director of Sales, Kevin Etheridge, has proven to be arrogant and condescending in his handling of rectifying our situation from the start. On February 11, 2017 my significant other and I sat down with their salesperson, Natalia Panczyszyn, to design our kitchen. Which has proven to be a horrible mistake. First off, she could barely use her computer. I do not know if it was a lack of training or a lack of intelligence in using the machine, but either way the result was a disaster. For two hours we watched as she fumbled around with the mess on her desk at the same time she likewise fumbled her way through the design process. Below is a list of problems due to poor planning and design by Natalia: 1.) Natalia did not communicate with us one time during the process, not one single time either via a phone call or e-mail. She did not return any calls or e-mails we made or sent to her. 2.) Natalia “forgot” to send out our door sample to initiate construction of cabinets, delaying construction by two+ weeks. 3.) Natalia did not order the correct color for our wall cabinets. We were supposed to have a two-tone cabinet solution but she screwed that up completely. 4.) Our remodel was delayed and our contractor held on retainer because of a lack of communication by Natalia. 5.) Natalia did not order molding or the hide-away trashcan assembly kit we had specified. 6.) The gap-filling spacers are of the wrong style, fluted instead of plain. 7.) Arrogance of your senior staff, Kevin Etheridge, was appalling. 8.) The design Natalia created did not work and had to be changed and our kitchen cobbled together as best it could be. Cabinet doors did not open because of the placement of appliances. We spent $8,520+ on Solid Wood's Exclusive line and it turned out that we will not have the kitchen that we envisioned and designed. We will have the kitchen that had to be cobbled together piecemeal because of their employee’s incompetence and lack of quality control. The only reason I gave this company one star was because I couldn't post this with zero stars. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR KITCHEN REMODEL!

Due to a quality control issue the cabinets we wanted, and ordered, were not available right away. We waited an additional 4-5 weeks for the cabinets to be delivered. (we were told this information up front, and we were okay with waiting until the projected delivery date). We selected the partial delivery, allowing the cabinets to be delivered as they became available instead of all at once. The initial delivery was July 12th, and as of August 15th we still do not have all the pieces to complete our kitchen project. We were told that we would receive 50% off the cost of the cabinets, instead of 35%. As of today, I still have not seen the additional discount taken off my billing statement. (We went with an interest free credit card that is like same as cash), even after multiple phone calls to the salesman. The credit card company said that we can file a complaint if the company fails to provide the promised discount. I am waiting until my next bill arrives before continuing to call. Upon delivery, you have 3 days to call the company and let them know about any issues. Not seeing any noticeable issues, I told the representative that called each time, to verify I had received the delivery, that we had no issues. When we began to assemble the cabinets, flaws and shoddy workmanship began to be noticed. Unfortunately, we were passed the time frame and had to "make due" with what we had. Cabinets were warped, or 2 cabinets that would be hung next to one another were not of equal sizes, one cabinet had to be taken apart and reassembled because the screws were not in correctly. While nothing was completely abhorrent, there was enough little stuff to make us regret having purchased the products. Upon delivery of our 2 pantry cupboards, some hardware was missing. I called the company, and am waiting for a response. Without the hardware, the pantry doors (which still haven't been delivered) cannot be installed. Our biggest issue with Solid Wood was that they touted being made in America. Their products are assembled in America, and manufactured in China...as per the information tagged on the boxes the cabinets were delivered in. This was hugely disappointing to us, as we like to shop local. I blame myself for not following up with their claims, but am disappointed it was made to be something they are not.
Description of Work: We ordered our white shaker style cabinets from Solid Wood Cabinet Co at their Lancaster location. We went in, and did the design. The following week, we went back and ordered the cabinets, counter top, and sink from them.

The installation of the granite top was performed by amateurs; there is a jagged seam directly in the middle of the sink which the installer said was normal and he tried to cover it with epoxy and failed miserably. The measurements for the sink were completely off, forcing us to accept a smaller sink because the slab was already cut. Certain items were vastly over-priced ($100 per foot of basic crown moulding). A horrible experience.
Description of Work: Orders were incomplete; some items were backordered and we were not notified in a timely manner; this threw off the time table in which our installer had given us causing delays for installations and receipt of other items ordered by different vendors;

Outstanding service and really great cabinets! My experience with Scott Schaffer and Solid Wood Cabinets started out quite unexpected and is as unique as experiences go. At the time I signed a contract with a Kitchen Refacing company for $13,400 and told my family how excited I was to freshen up my kitchen and showed them the style I was getting and they told me that it looked plastic, and fake. I was pretty naive as to what MDF Thermofoil was, but it seemed to look pretty. I was told by a family friend that it wasn't real wood, but actually a type of heavy duty printed foil over fiber board. I was beside myself (actually felt like I was tricked into something) and being a single mom and asked my family to help. They introduced me Scott who they said was a pretty good kitchen designer and that he just started working with a new kitchen place. When I was introduced to Scott, he told me how strongly he felt about not liking the refacing process and quality and urged me to contact the company I signed with already an ask if I could cancel my agreement with them and that he could get me NEW kitchen cabinets and granite for less than I was going to pay for just giving my current cabinets a "face lift". At this point I was quite skeptical, and worried because I already felt like I just wanted to forget the whole kitchen remodel all together. Scott looked at my contract with them very carefully and said that I should be able to cancel with them since they didn't have a cancellation policy on their contract. He then told me that even if I didn't work with him that he would still recommend canceling with them because of what I would be getting. I told him that I wasn't very good at dealing with things like cancelling contracts or dealing with any confrontation, and he actually offered to go with me to their place of business and help me with the cancellation process. I took him up on his offer and the next day he met me there. We went in and spoke with the receptionist who told me that I could cancel, but had to pay for a few items which were already in the process of ordering and would incur a restocking fee/admin fees. I agreed and said that was fair and thought that was all done and to call them the next day to confirm the cancellation was actually processed. I thanked Scott for helping and told him that I would contact him once I received the deposit back from the refacing place. The next day I called about my refund and was told that since it was out of the cancellation period that I would not get much of the deposit of $4000 back and I was furious, I called Scott right away, crying (was very emotional) and told him what they said. He had me call the owner of that place and set up a meeting in person, which he said he would personally attend. I did set up the appointment and to make a long story short, Scott helped me settle with them for $350.00. Later that day he went to my home and took measurements of the kitchen and I could tell that he was very experienced and professional. He told me that he would work up a design and quote for me within a few days. The next day I went to his showroom and he had a design ready for me and a price. I was pleasantly shocked to hear the price of $9,800 and actually like the price so much that I added a few options that brought it up to $10,200. This price included all new cabinets, granite counter top, backsplash and cabinet removal and install. I felt very good about moving forward with Scott and Solid Wood Cabinets, and he even offered me financing options which I took advantage of. I am an elementary school teacher and told Scott I had a very limited schedule and time frame and he assured me that he would be as accommodating as he could. My cabinets were delivered in a few weeks and installation was set up for the following week. Things did get tough with my work schedule, but they did pretty good working around my availability (whole project took a little over 2 weeks and installers were late a few times because they were coming from so far away, but they did great work). Throughout the project Scott checked in a few times to make sure everything was going well and gave me a pretty nice surprise, he told me that because of the minimum 40 sq ft of granite, that I had enough granite allowance to redo my entire kitchen table top! This worked out great because I didn't have room for a kitchen island. Scott saved my kitchen and I'm not sure what I would have done if he wasn't involved with my project. Solid Wood Cabinet Co saved me money over refacing, which I still cant believe and for a great product with a lifetime warranty. To make my long story shorter, anyone considering a kitchen remodel or new cabinets should call Scott Schaffer and Solid Wood Cabinet Company! Overall a very positive experience, great product, good prices. I did have one issue with the backsplash grout, but the installers came out to resolve it with no questions asked. I love my kitchen, I don't think I can say it enough. My cabinets are the Society Hill Style with Peacock Green Granite and Crema Marfil Subway Tile, I did not buy my handles and knobs from Solid Wood but they are a pewter style that works well with the whole design.
Description of Work: New kitchen cabinets, new granite countertops, new marble backsplash and installation service. I would definitely recommend going to the Allentown showroom now that it is open, I went to the Warminster showroom because the Allentown location was not open yet so that was a little bit of a drive, but well worth it but, I am happy that they are much closer now. **Make sure you get the soft close door hinges, I assumed they came with the cabinets, but had to add them later(worth it).
