GEIGER APPLIANCE SERVICE

After 10 minutes into my dryer repair he said my dryer was a F’ing piece of junk. He continued to make the repair using the F word at least five more times. When he was finished he stated he hated working on appliances. Not acceptable behavior from a business owner. We will never have him back.

They're very good. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

I sent an email at 10;00 AM thru Angies List and received a response 4 minutes later. My washer had stopped spinning that morning and I had just returned from a 4 day weekend and had lots of laundry. He asked me a few questions about the washer told me his service charge and arrived by 1:30 PM and the washer was working by 2:00 PM and I was able to continue my laundry that same day. I had hoped it would be fixed by the next day -never thinking with the Christmas Holidays that it would be fixed within 4 hours of my initial contact. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. He was extremely efficient and prompt.

I emailed them on Friday afternoon to set up an appointment & he called Saturday morning and arrived 1.5 hours after the phone call. This was labor day weekend so I thought his response was terrific.

My filled with food fridge was dying (shutting down) on a Sunday. I called and Darrin came over shortly. He got right down to business and fixed my fridge! Darrin explained to me that it was a relay (not compressor thank goodness!). I am so glad I found someone who could show up on short notice on a Sunday, be professional, fairly priced, fast, and skilled. Darrin saved the day (and lots of food)!!!

I called Geiger Services and he responded right away and told me he was at another job but would call me in a hour. He did call back within the hour and scheduled me for 2:00 the same day. Geiger services was 15 min early for the 2:00 appt. He checked out the refrigerator and looked at the compressor. Unfortunately it turns that it would not be cost effective to repair the refrigerator. He recommended some brands for me to look into purchasing. I was very pleased with the service and honesty of Geiger. I recommend Geiger Services to anyone in need of appliance repair. If need be we will call Geiger in the future.

I was able to reach Mr. Geiger rapidly and he was able to make the repair efficiently the next day. This was the 2nd time he repaired an appliance at our house and we will continue to use him.

great. I will keep repairing my old washer until they change how the new ones are made! thankfully geiger is there to help. he replaced the water pump. I am good for another year or more.

excellent professionalism...this is a busy man so sometimes you may have to wait for him to get started but it is definately worth the weight.

I called Geiger appliance to have my washing machine repaired. I left two messages and my calls were never returned.

I almost feel bad for writing this, given all of the excellent reviews this provider has received, but fair to caution, even though I suspect I caught him on a bad and quot;weekand quot;. On 8/24/13, my washer sprung a leak, so, as always, I checked Angie's List for the best provider. I still believe Geiger's and quot;couldand quot; have been the best choice. I first called him on Mon., 8/26. He said he was driving at the time and would call me back in 20 minutes - that didn't happen…. no problem, things happen, I understand that. I expected a call back the next day, Tues - that didn't happen, so I called him back on Wed., 8/28 - he said he would call me back by the end of the day - didn't happen. I called again on Thurs, 8/29 only to have him say that he was trying to get me and we discovered why he couldn't - he wrote my number down incorrectly. He said he would come to my place on Fri. at 2:00 p.m. I cut plans short with friends visiting from out of town to rush home to meet him at 2:00, only, on my way rushing home, to receive a call from him at 1:55 p.m., only 5 min. warning, telling me that he was canceling and that I should find somebody else. I quietly said he should have told me that 4 days earlier and I could have had my machine fixed by now - and he *hung up on me*. I would not have taken the time to write this were it not for his rudeness and for the delays he caused me with pretty much total disregard for the considerable inconvenience caused by his unresponsiveness all week. To his credit, he was honest in telling me early on that he did not carry GE parts, alerting me to possible extra costs. And, I do believe the other reviews that his work is high quality. Based on all of his excellent reviews, I would still recommend him to others, but I would caution them to make him accountable for better responsiveness, thus not wasting their time so unnecessarily. My guess is that he probably wishes he would have just told me up front…. 4 days earlier,… that he couldn't help me …. I wish he would have done that, too!

He was on time, found the problem... a loose hose, and he fixed it.

The guy did an excellent work! We highly recommend him to anyone who would ask. I like everything about him! He is prompt, clean, and dependable. If he said, he'd be here at 2 o'clock, he was here at 2 o'clock. I'd be comfortable with him coming to the house if I was not home and my wife just here.

They are on hour list highly rated and I would say they were great. They were very good. The staff are fine. I would use him again in the future.

Dryer stopped working for our tenants We called around quite a few places. This is the business to be in - typical phone call was 70 to come out, and $20 for each 15 min. they were out there (other companies). I'm in the wrong field!! Anyway, they came out had it fixed very quickly, and price was right.

Came quickly, on time. Honest and very helpful. I have used big companies before with horrible results, Mr. Geiger far exceeds those other companies for appliance repair.

Old Maytag dryer was screeching loudly. Owner was able to schedule with us within 2 days of calling him. Showed up slightly ahead of schedule, went straight to work, and quickly diagnosed the problem as a worn drum wheel. Replaced both wheels and the belt, knowing that belt would be going soon. Didn't converse much until we asked him some questions and advice, at which point he gave advice freely. Price seemed a little steep for how long he was here, but the repairs were very satisfactory.

Mr. Geiger was very thorough. He explained what he was looking for and what he was doing. We discussed the option of a new washer, although he did tell me that I had a good washer (Kenmore). He said the used motor could possibly last a long time. I was very satisfied.

Contacted provider who offered to make the service call within 24 hours. Arrived very close to agreed upon time. Worked performed professionally and completely.

See above - Completed the necessary repair to unclog the blocked drain in the freezer portion of the refrigerator. Addressed other issues I was having about the refrigerator by adjusting various settings.

Our 10 yr old Kitchen Aide refrigerator/freezer was not keeping temperature. I called Geiger at 4:30pm; he was at my house at 5pm, fixed the problem and gone within 15 minutes. Refrigerator is coming back to temperature. Would definitely use Geiger again!

My refrigerator (about 5 yr old) was not keeping a low enough temperature (~45-50). I called Geiger's and he asked a few questions on the phone and was able to schedule an appointment to look at the refrigerator rather quickly. When he came, he did look at a number of possible issues, and ruled each one of the them out. So, I asked what my next steps would be, and when I couldn't get an answer, I asked what he would do if it were his refrigerator. Again, I couldn't get a straight answer. He kept repeating himself, saying that if the fudge pops in the freezer were frozen then it must be doing pretty good, and that maybe the thermometer I had put in was not reading correctly. I had to ask again, that if it is indeed not working, what would be my next steps, what else could it be, could it be the thermostat, etc. After much prodding, he said that in his experience a thermostat either works or it goes completely, and the only other options might be the compressor or maybe a leak in the refrigerant. He indicated that neither of these are fixable, nor could he do anything to diagnose that either of them are the issue, because these are sealed within the refrigerator. He explained that compressors are too expensive (better to just replace the refrigerator) and the refrigerant should never leak because they are sealed systems, but could possibly get a pinhole in the thin copper tubing. By the end of the visit, I knew a couple of things that were in working order, but had no clue as to what might be wrong or what I could/should do next, besides for buy a new refrigerator. To his credit, though, he only charged me for the price of the service call, and not for his time or diagnostic work since he was unable to find and fix the issue. Note: I have since done more investigation (prior to just going out to buy a new refrigerator) and had a different service person look at the unit, and he did do other diagnostics, ruled out a compressor issue, and replaced the thermostat - and it is now working great! (I would like to note that the Geiger service person's professionalism is not of high standard, e.g., he doesn't answer the phone identifying the company/who you called and lt;I called twiceand gt;, and came to the appointment dressed in summer picnic attire.)

The unit stopped working on Sunday. Called on a Monday morning. Owner/operator was able to fit me in the same day. He arrived within 30 min. of appointment time. Diagnosing and repair were extremely efficient thus the price for the actual repair quite reasonable. Separate service call fee seemed acceptable, if not perhaps a bit high (thus the overall B rating for that). This guy is experienced, knowledgeable and efficient and I will call him for the next repair (as long as it's not my dishwasher... which he does not service).
