Arrived on time. Very respectful of our house (i.e. they wore booties). Professional. Took the time to answer questions and provide some education. I had questions shortly after they left and they called right back to assist. Well worth the money to get all hooked up properly.
Description of Work: I have used the geek squad's services 2x now. They installed our original surround sound system on 2 separate floors in our house. The second time they setup a new TV and connected the surround sound system to it. They also trouble-shooted a few minor issues we were having with other TVs such as sound and remote issues.

GEEKSQUAD PEOPLE WERE ALWAYS COURTEOUS, KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND HELPFUL. THEY WERE INTERESTED IN HEARING ABOUT MY CIONCERNS. THEY ALSO OFFERED A FREE INTRO. TO WINDOWS 8 COURSE TWICE A WEEK SINCE THAT WAS THE NEW OPERATING SYSTEM AND THERE WERE SIGNIFICANT CHANGES FROM WINDOWS VISTA. using GEEKSQUAD TO FIX MY COMPUTER ISSUES HAS BEEN WELL WORTH THE SERVICE CONTRACT.
Description of Work: I BOUGHT A 1 YEAR SERVICE CONTRACT FOR APPX. $95.00 SO ALL SERVICES WERE FREE EXCEPT FOR THE $40.00 FOR A HOME VISIT. THEY CAME TO THE HOUSE TO FIX PROBLEMS I HAD WITH CONNECTING MY NEW LAPTOP TO THE REST OF MY SYSTEM AND TO THE INTERNET. I RECEIVED SERVICE ON MY LAPTOP IN THE STORE 2-3 TIMES FOR CONNECTION PROBLEMS, FREQUENT 'FREEZING UP, ETC. THEY REMOVED EVERYTHING FROM THE LAPTOP AND REINSTALLED IT TWICE, AND THEN EVERYTHING WAS FINE. I ALSO USED THE TELEPHONE HELP AVAILABLE THROUGH GEEK SQUAD WHICH WORKED WELL FOR ME.

I declined the repair. It took them about 2 weeks to return my Computer. The Employees had a hard time finding it. I had to keep calling them. When I went in to the Geek Squad Service Counter, there are about 7 Employees standing around talking & only 2 more waiting on Customers. None of the others would help anyone else. It was the same everytime I went in. They didn't seem as knowledgable as they are advertised.
Description of Work: Did Diagnostic testing. Found out one of my Hard Drives is bad. It would have cost me an additional $110.00 to bring my total to over $300.00. That does not include disposal of the old computer. A new computer starts at about $350.

They did get all the data off my crashed computer but didn't call when it was ready like they said they would. I called them and it took forever to get through to anybody. They do not answer their phone and are not very professional on the phone when it is answered.

The unit had to be ordered, but did not take long for delivery. They hooked it up and got rid of the old unit. They are very prompt, trustworthy and will let you set up a payment plan.
