The work itself was excellent. Walt and John did an outstanding job. They were professional, courteous, efficient and knowledgable. Walt took the time to explain to me exactly where the fence was going and if I was ok with how he had it set up. The only problem I had was with communication. They started the job and told me they would be back Monday morning to finish. They never showed up Monday and I called the office. They told me they would be back Tuesday. Didn't come back until Wednesday. Wasn't Walt's fault. He doesn't know what job he will be on until he gets to the shop in the morning, The office should have let me know they weren't coming back until Tuesday. That being said, the work was great and Walt and John were a pleasure to work with,

I had Redrock Fence remove my existing wooden fence and install a new vinyl fence about 6 months ago. They were a bit cheaper than other companies I received quotes from and did a good job installing the new fence, but unfortunately I am not pleased with how they cleaned up after themselves. They cut the pieces of the new fence in the middle of my yard, leaving piles of vinyl shavings that I had to clean up. They asked if I wanted to keep dirt from the holes they dug for the new posts so that I could fill in some divots in my yard from an old dog run. I said yes, assuming it would be a manageable amount of dirt since the divots were not particularly large. They ended up leaving a massive pile that had a number of large chunks of concrete from around the old fence posts mixed in with it. I can understand there being a miscommunication between the amount of dirt I thought they would leave and the amount they ended up leaving, but I cannot think of a reason why they would have thought I’d want the concrete. They left a decent number of holes from the old fence posts completely unfilled, which was dangerous since those holes go down several feet. They also left some of the holes from the new fence posts only partially filled, including in my neighbor’s yards, and I had to fill those in myself. It rained for a few of the days they were working, so some of my grass became mud patches from being trod on so much. I think that would have happened regardless of who installed the fence, but I wanted to mention it so others would know it’d be better to choose a time of the year when it doesn’t rain much to try to avoid their grass dying. Overall I can say that while the price was good and the fence looks nice, I probably would not recommend Redrock Fence unless you’re planning on doing a decent bit of clean up yourself.

This was an insurance claim. My 6 ft wooden fence that surrounds my in ground pool and backyard had six sections blown down during a bad storm. My insurance company requested two estimates. My husband phone Redrock and was told that they charge $25.00 to give an estimate. My husband agreed and a salesman phoned that afternoon to say he was on his way out to our home. My husband phoned me and told me that I needed to be at the house when the salesman arrived. I left work and waited all afternoon for the salesman to show up, which he never did!! I didn't agree that someone should charge you $25.00 for an estimate because what is the incentive to bid the job competively?? Instead, I found a wonderful fence man on Angie's list and will use him again for any repairs or new fencing that I need.

I am sorry. There may have been a mis-communication between us. I was under the impression that since we charge $25 for insurance estimates that you were not interested in receiving an estimate from us. I never would have intentionally scheduled an appointment and not showed up. Please do accept my sincerest apologies. Our policy as a company is only to charge for insurance estimates since we have a lot people who call for these types of estimates and then receive their insurance check and never do the work. We always reimburse all fees if you have us complete the work.

Description of Work: We already had the fence material ordered. They charged 1500 just to install the fence. It was started on a weekend and finished one week later. I would not have been so upset about that had I been warned ahead of time. Apparently this was a "side job" so there was no rush to finish.... was not told this until they already started the job. The first day, they showed up two hours later than we were originally told. Did a decent job on the fence, but would not recommend without warning to ask time frame ahead of time.

This company was absolutely wonderful to work with. They responded quickly in the dead of winter to our request to get the work done quickly as we had a new home and three large dogs to contend with. They were awesome. The weather was horrendous but they worked quickly and efficiently. The owner drove past when the job was finished and noticed a post that wasn't quite straight and sent a crew to fix it. Because of erosion on our hill a few posts needed to be reinforced over time, and the work was always done very quickly. They are one of the best companies we've ever worked with.

A neighbor plowed into my white picket wooden fence and I was looking for estimates to get it repaired. I called Redrock Fence Company on Thursday, April 4 and spoke to Brendan, who explained there was a $25 fee for the estimate, which would be added to the cost of the job should we use their company for the repair. He also said they would only install the fence, but would not paint it. He wanted to come out the following Monday or Tuesday. I said to please call first because I wasn't sure I would use Redrock Fence Company because of its inability to paint. I also told Brendan that I am frequently not home and I wanted to be there when he did the estimate. Over that weekend, my uncle died. On Monday, during the funeral procession, I got a call from Brendan who said he just left my (empty) house after doing the estimate. I told him I couldn't talk - and WHY - but he kept talking. I reminded him that he was to call before arriving, and that I wasn't sure I want to use Redrock Fence Company because they would not do the painting. He got angry on the phone, said he wished he knew that before "driving all the way out there," and said he would be sending the bill for the $25 anyway. HE NEVER DID GIVE ME THE ESTIMATE FOR THE FENCE. Sure enough, a few days later, I got the bill, but STILL NO ESTIMATE. I tried to contact the manager or owner of the company several times, and was assured that he would call me back, but I never heard from them again, other than for the secretary to tell me the owner said to "disregard" the invoice. Still no apology for interrupting me during a family funeral. Still no apology for being extremely rude with me on the phone. Still no estimate. Just a bill for service that I didn't want or agree to.

Prior to scheduling an appointment for an estimate for the following week, the customer asked if we repaired white picket fences. We advised that we do repair the wood picket fence but unfortunately, we do not paint after installation. The customer then asked if we could just figure out a painting price along with the repair so that she could turn it in to insurance. We advised her we would be willing to figure out a repair estimate along with painting the fence so that she could have one total estimate to turn in. The following week our salesperson went out to the customer’s home at the time scheduled for the estimate and the customer was not home. The repair was obvious, so we were able to measure and come up with a price on repairing the fence. The salesperson left his business card and brochures on vinyl fencing in case the customer wanted to purchase a white vinyl fence in lieu of the wood repair. Later in the afternoon, our salesperson called the customer to give her the price. Once our salesman went over what needed repaired, the customer stated she did not want to piecemeal the job and insisted that the whole front part of the fence run needed replacing, even though the whole front was not damaged. Our salesperson was willing to work up that price separately so the customer would know what price range she would have. The customer then stated “Wait, you are the ones that don’t paint?” Our salesman stated correct but we were willing to at least work up the price but the painting would have to be contracted out to another company (as stated the week prior to the customer). She then stated again that she did not want to piecemeal the job and didn't want to run around getting two bids for fence repair and painting and no matter what wanted one contractor to do both. Our salesperson politely stated that he had wished the customer advised him of this prior to going out for the estimate so that he did not waste his time looking at the repair and working up a price. The customer then became irate and stated, “You know what, I just buried my relative and now that you’ve really pi$$ed me off, I will not do business with you” and hung up without even giving our salesman the chance to respond, give her the price he worked up, or express his condolences, which he was getting ready to say as he was rudely hung up upon. The customer never advised our salesperson at the beginning of the conversation or during the call that she was at a funeral until she became irate and stated so. She never stated on the phone that our salesperson was interrupting, or he would have asked her to call back at her convenience. Our salesperson did not become angry on the phone, but was calm and stating the facts. Our salesperson never advised the customer that a bill would be sent for $25 "anyway". An estimate was never formally given, because when our salesperson called her to give the price, the customer stated on the phone that she did not want to work with our company. However, accounting had a bill generated for the trip made to the customer’s home. Once received, the customer called in to speak to management in regards to the prior conversation with the salesman and the bill, where she threatened our company with litigation and media press. Management advised her to just disregard the bill. The customer originally called us, because she DID want a service from us and did agree to an estimate. Our company has not been in business for 30 years due to poor customer service. We strive on our service, but as you can see, not all customers can be satisfied.

A team of three men installed our fencing in two days. To set the fence, they had to core drill the wall. The work was done on two of the hottest days of the year and they worked through it without complaint. We were very pleased with the workers personalities, professionalism and outcome of the job.

They were excellent. I had a pretty good idea about what I wanted to do. The salesman made some suggestions and saved me some money in areas that he felt it wasn't necessary for me to have the fence put in. I liked the fact that he wasn't pushing anything and he was actually trying to save me some money. He explained why the fence wasn't necessary in those areas. They were very neat and the work was done well. I thought that the price was reasonable.
