Description of Work: Chris did what was needed to bring my mother in law's home up to code for selling. He was able to do it quickly which really helped us list it on time. He also responded promptly to our initial quote inquiry, was on time for the job, and was available after hours when we needed his input just before closing on the home.

I remember a placard on the wall of my grandmothers home that read," keep your temper no one wants it". People like this always remind me of that sage advice. Folks this is the busy season and here in June we are now booking for August. The flood gates are full open and the race to serve all of our family of customers in more than on. Occasionally we may loose someone in the cracks of our imperfect world. In this case I am not certain what happened. Though we strive for perfection, and 99% of the time achieve it, there are many things we are not in control of. Calls get dropped, pages are lost, vehicles break down, workers get sick and cut their hands on sharp edges. Computers crash, roofs leak and words are misunderstood. Sometimes, even though we have all the tools of the trade, there whereabouts are unknown, while on loan to a workers friend and etc. etc. and etc. Despite all this, most people realize we are human as they themselves are. Perhaps when you come to end of your self, take your head out of your anterior orifice and your mirror on the wall comes crashing down, you will see things from the perspective of a humble person doing all they can to be part of life's solutions. Going on a public forum to degrade someone, only proves to show the world how miserable you are. Perhaps its is a good thing that we and other service providers avoid you and thus not get caught in your web of malice and discontent. Kind sir, one would think that a professional as you, living in such a beautiful and expensive house such as yours, could not only have responded with more detail but also within a timely fashion. A report that dates back over a year and gives no scope and sequence of the job and not even a price lends itself to conjecture and ambiguity. I will therefore dismiss this "report" as totally unsubstantiated. Even the date you give is my birthday and I was out of town with my wife and grieving the loss of my father. Though we are sorry we could not arrive at a more comfortable price for you, we feel that the time to raise this objection is when the price is given. A mentor of mine many times said, "buy the best and you only b#&*H once" . You objectively state that the work was good. And you know the inverse relationship between service, quality and price. We constantly strive to make our services fairly priced, but we are the few legitimate brand of contractors who must go through many palm greasing hoops to be such. Also, let us not forget Angie. For the past ten years she and her assistants have tried to raise her service rates up to twenty percent per year. As I, she allows for a little haggling and we agree on a premium price. And we do so because Angie delivers the product on time and with all the trimmings. I caution you not to go back to that "Penny Saver" practice and reach for the bottom. At our age it is certainly nice to get a "deal" but sometimes the diamond in the rough is not what it appears. Please give us another try and we will see if we can arrive at a more comfortable price. I have been leery of contractors in the past. Chris is the only contractor I will use from here on. very professional, on time and finished ahead of schedule. the paint lines are amazing and you would never the crown was not previously installed.

Even though you were not completely satisfied with our price, it always strikes me as odd that It was not an issue when it was given. You had a complex electrical problem that required much time for the diagnosis. I believe it was a faulty breaker. The light I was asked to put up supposedly had the wire already run by your son, but such was not the case. I therefore had to tap into an alternate source and add an additional switch at no additional charge. I believe your husband even cross examined me during the estimate and price was not an issue. Therefore we can only conclude that the figure given, which took into consideration your husbands disability, was acceptable. We wish you well and hope that the next time we could perhaps arrive at a price that is more comfortable for the both of you. Cheaper however, is not always better!

EVERY THING WENT VERY WELL
Description of Work: chris jackson and crew went above and beyond duty working on my house. First they pressure spray the house than painted it. Also they replace twoo two rotten doors they replace them with two brand new doors, thanks dan with your with experted carpenter skills. They rebuilt my garage door the wood was completely rotten, also they cement the space between house and add on garage it prevented bees and othe insect frtom coming into my home. i know iam leaving something out ,oh ED REDID MY PATIO DOORS. i LIKE TO THANKS ED, DAN AND CHRIS FOR AN AMAAZING JOB. Description of Work: Chris replaced an exterior door, which turned out to be more complicated than expected. Door looks great. He didn't tell us it would need painting when the door was purchased, so that will be another contract. He also did several things in the basement (replaced a support beam, added vents to glass block windows, cleaned up some loose wiring, secured electric boxes, etc.) All these things looked great. One thing that was supposed to be done, and we have no way to check on, was to fix some of the insulation in the attic. We assume he did that, although there is no way for us to check on it. |He was responsible and punctual, and supervised a sub-crew, which also seemed competent. There was about a two week wait from when we called to when he came for first visit to find out the nature of the task(s). Subsequently, visits were dependent on the arrival of a special order, and his scheduling of work time in Squirrel Hill.
