Very well. Chris was very responsive to my request for an estimate and fitting me into his schedule. The work was done quickly and with no issues.

Workers are all nice, friendly, helpful. I look forward to having them in my house. Chris is prompt, explains what he will do clearly. Gives written estimates and is easy to reach. He returns calls promptly.

Chris and his team are marvelous! Their work is meticulous and they are always ready to go the extra mile. Chris and his helpers are polite, intelligent, and often funny--real gentlemen. Chris is determined to make sure that everything is done right and that the customer is satisfied. They arrived promptly and weren't clock watchers. Chris may charge a little more than others, but you really get your money's worth and know that everything will be done to the highest standard. I would recommend him to anyone.

Mostly it went very well. The rooms and the hallway where he did complete plaster repair and repainting look very good, very professionally done. The kitchen where he touched up the roof looks patched, but said that would likely be the case. We may re-contract him to do the whole thing. The only complaint is the above leak on his re-sealing work on the roof of the entry porch, but if he fixes it, there won't be any complaints. We just called him to price some additional work (in addition to repairing the roof leak), so clearly we are happy with his work overall.

I didn't want to replace it, because it was a Nu Tone door bell, and it was inconspicuous. He repaired it, and it works fine. He replaced the switch,and now the front and back door work.

Exceptional work. He was very professional. Arrive on time and when he said he would. Estimate was right on.

Chris and his workers arrived on time the day the job was scheduled to begin. Over the next three days, the crew worked quietly and efficiently installing our new floor. They took care to explain the limitations of slate tile to us, and also gave us tips on how to care for it. Everyone we interacted with on the crew was respectful and friendly, and I felt comfortable having them in my home. They were careful not to let my pets out, and they cleaned up after they were done. Chris in particular was really nice and responsible, communicated well from the very beginning, and came back on a late Friday afternoon to fix a small item his crew had overlooked. As for the end product, the floor is absolutely gorgeous! His subcontracted tilers did a first rate job, and we couldn't be more pleased. Overall, I give Chris Jackson Contracting an enthusiastic recommendation. In fact, we are planning to hire him again in a few months to work on a bathroom project. A 5-star Angie's List business!

Excellent work, friendly workers, great clean-up. My only complaint was that rather than give me an itemized bid or bill, Chris gave me one large sum for numerous assorted jobs. When he gave me an itemized bid for later work I found that it was double what another highly recommended contractor bid on the same job. I believe now that I overpaid for the first job.

I found Mr. Jackson's company through Angie's List. I am the Executor of my late father's Estate, and I live in Virginia. Mr. Jackson performed the work on my father's house in a timely manner; his prices are fair; the quality of the work is excellent; he made additional repairs on an emergency basis. His associates, who performed some of the work on the house, also did a very good job. In addition, Mr. Jackson consistently displayed a thoroughly professional approach while also understanding my situation and sympathizing about my father's death. Since then, I have employed Mr. Jackson in repairs and renovations to my own property in Pittsburgh. I would recommend him and his company to anyone.

Very knowledgeable and processional. You get what you pay for. August 1st, he returned because I smelled gas. He found and remedied the problem.

Chris stuck to the estimate exactly and he and his employees were on time and finished the job in a day and a half, exactly as promised. They were professional and courteous and Chris even fixed a few things around the house as he worked, like sanding a sticking door, changing light bulbs and adding extensions to our drainpipes outside to fix a moisture problem in the basement. I would recommend his services to anyone and we will probably use his services again in the future.

Chris showed up for the estimate and the job exactly as promised. My only minor "complaint" was that I had to follow up with him on the quote and date of job. He's a busy guy! The job was completed as scheduled and satisfactory. After we discovered some of the floor paint had peeled up, Chris sent one of his men over the re-patch the floor portion. The price was a little high, but worth it knowing the job would be done on time and correctly. Also, we were able to leave our house while they completed the job - which took 2 days. This is an important trust factor in our decision making for household jobs.

EXCELLENT!!! Chris Jackson picked up the phone when I called. He said he had a cancellation that day and could come that very evening to assess and give me an estimate. He arrived exactly on time at 8:15 p.m., calling me about seven minutes before he arrived to assure me he was en route. He gave me a range within which the necessary part would fall (between $85 and $125) and said he could not call to find out right at that time since all electrical parts places were closed. He said he would be at my home between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. the next morning and indeed, he was. He was EXCELLENT and I now feel I have a reliable handyman, something we all need! The $47 I spent to join Angie's List was the best $47 I have spent, and I am thrilled I joined. THANK YOU and Chris Jackson's Contracting is terrific.

The best thing about Chris is that he moves at just the right pace: neither too fast as to force quick decisions, nor too slow as to feel stalled. He wouldn't let us order cabinets until after the wall in question was removed -- very smart, as we completely changed our minds. He waited until all of the new cabinets and appliances were on hand before removing the old ones, which made for little "displacement" time. When certain pieces of the installation took longer than expected or if there was a problem, he came in on the weekends to get the issue solved. Overall, it was an extremely positive remodeling experience. Chris has another important and yet unique quality (at least among our experience): he LISTENS to what you want and then, after some discussion, delivers exactly that. He writes out the charges for each item separately, no non-specific "labor" costs, which is great if you want to try to save money and do parts of the project yourself. Truly a terrific find.

Mr. Jackson installed a circuit breaker for a new dishwasher. He also provided me with a dual breaker so I now have space available to add another circuit in the future. He called me back promptly after the initial call, came on the day promised and completed the work quickly.

Mr Jackson arrived promptly at the agreed time to begin work. He brought two helpers, one of which was a young man out of school for the summer. I was really pleased that he brought the young man who could learn learn skills that would later be of help to him. Mr Jackson designated the duties to be done by each of the workers. They all proceeded to work diligently and effectively until the job was completed. They were all pleasant and stuck to their goals. What I thought would be a time consuming job was completed quickly and with seeming ease.

Extremely satisfied. I will hire again and again and will recommend him to friends.

Chris Jackson was a great find. We highly recommend him. At one point he was finishing up a painting job until 11:30pm one night. He was very committed to getting the work done on time, despite some additions we made, and the presence of other workers installing floors. We would go back to Chris Jackson any day of the week. We met a few weeks before the work was to be done; we walked through the house and showed him the work, he gave me an estimate. He and his crew showed up on time and completed all the work we talked about + a few other items by the time he promised and only charging extra for the work we had not previously talked about, and at reasonable rate for the extra work.

He was really good. His prices were very reasonable.

It was a very good experience. He came on time, did what he said he would do, cleaned-up nicely and was willing to do some add on chores as we identified them I was very pleased and have recommended him to my friends.

Great job! Plaster can be a messy job. All work was completed exactly as agreed. Price was fair. Workers took good care to ensure as little dust as possible, and cleaned up after themselves. Paint jobs were also well done. Highly recommend.

Chris was responsive, prompt, and efficient! Chris even went above and beyond and adjusted my water pressure, too. Chris was also very neat and neat and there was little to no clean up.

He was on time, polite, and had good workers. I'd use him again in the future and recommend him to others!
