Chris Jackson's Contracting

We were highly impressed with Chris Jackson from start to finish. He responded quickly to our request for an estimate and during our initial consultation he made helpful suggestions regarding lighting options. We were satisfied with the initial estimate and asked to schedule the work as soon as possible. Chris began working on the scheduled date and completed the job quickly. We are very impressed with the quality of the work performed and we love the new lighting suggested by Chris. One of the pendant lights we ordered for Chris to install did not arrive on the scheduled date and Chris happily agreed to return to install the light when it arrived. The final cost of the job was less than the amount he estimated. We were thoroughly impressed and satisfied with the work done and we will look forward to hiring Chris in the future.

Chris was prompt to return calls and perform work. His estimate was far below other estimates and he didn't try to sell me unnecessary work. He performed the work promptly and well.

He is very professional, prompt, and very good at what he does.

I contacted Chris in the Fall and described the jobs that I wanted done by phone. He came a couple weeks later and toured the house. I described the work I wanted in bedrooms as well as a full bathroom renovation, repairing a ceiling in a third bedroom and painting the second floor hallway and stairwell. We decided to address the bedrooms first. I was a bit nervous about not having a written quote but it all turned out ok. Chris and his guys were on time, neat, organized, friendly, polite, responsive to my concerns and requests. The price was a bit high for my budget but I was willing to pay more for someone who had an excellent reputation. After dealing with a host of bad contractors over many years, my experience with Chris and his crew was a breath of fresh air. Thanks guys! Look forward to working with you again.

WONDERFUL! Chris answers calls immediately. He is very professional and was a pleasure to have working in our home. Like all the reviews say Chris knows alot about alot - and that is a very rare gift nowadays. Chris' price was $200 less than we had previously been quoted and he did the work in only a few hours. Chris was prompt, courteous and very careful and thoughtful in his work. We would DEFINITELY use Chris again -

I thought he knew what he was doing and he did what I asked him to do. He also added another outlet that was dead which he thought I should have repaired. He added the outlet at only a few more dollars. I would use him again.

Fine. Jackson came a few days after I contacted him, to scope the job, and provided a quote on the spot. I accepted the offer a few days later (after another candidate failed to follow up). He came with a helper to do the fix-up work and power wash the deck, and said he would return the following week. The helper came and applied the finish. Jackson came that evening to check the job, and applied some additional finish to spots that looked like they were absorbing a lot of material. I gave him a check per the quote.

He is extremely professional, very personable, did an excellent job. Good prices. I liked everything about him.

Chris and his team, Barry and Tony, were very professional and thorough in their work. The original plan didn't include the replacement of a 2x10 beam, which had to occur because of the condition of the wood. They adapted on the fly and it did not slow them down much at all. Our guess on the shade of paint turned out to be much too bright to match our existing trim and the team let me know that there would be a major mismatch. They worked with me to match the paint. I would highly recommend their work to any and all prospective customers.

The men who came were helpful and efficient.

Very Good. Chris did a great job; left him the key under the mat, and when I got home all the work was finished and cleaned up. (He even finished a small project I had started; spray painting numbers for my mailbox. He painted them again, and placed them on the mailbox post).:-)

Jackson came in the evening to provide the estimate. We discussed some options and he let us know he was leaving town for about a week and would be in touch after he returned. He did call us back with verbal estimates. We decided to postpone the work as it was more than we expected and we have other things higher on "the list."

We have used this contractor for multiple odd jobs in and around our home, including interior painting, gutter and drain cleaning and installing light fixtures. I particularly like the fact that he guarantees his work. Our deck looks great.

The numbers had to be aligned according to a template and it was done exactly.

Chris does all kinds of work and he is good. The nice thing about him is that he had all of this done for us in one day. He will stay and will not go home until his work is done. He does not disappear on you or anything. He is very professional and I am very pleased with what he has done for us. I highly recommend him.

I have used him for many years because he does general contracting. However, lately he has become a little expensive, and the quality is not as good as it used to be. He had told me he would charge me $250 for two hours. He did lower it $225, but it was still expensive. He answers the phone himself and schedules me quickly.

He came out when he said he would and did a very good job. His customer service is very good. When you call him, he gets right back in touch with you. That makes a big difference.

I think that it was a very good experience. He came over when he said he would. The estimate was good. After we agreed on the price, he came back right away. He stayed until the work was completely done and didn't disappear at all.

Chris came when scheduled for an estimate, same with scheduled work. He was polite, did what I had asked for, plus was kind enough to change a porch light bulb that I couldn't reach. It was a dirty job as my gutters were the worst!

I found the company through Angie's List. They have done other work for me prior to this job. In the past, they installed pipe heater. They are very knowledgeable in a wide variety of areas, show up on time and clean the area upon completion. The employees are personable and interact well with customers. Unfortunately, I do not recall the cost.

Chris managed this job for us from start to finish, working with our move-in date 2 months from first estimate. His team was top-notch (we met only one person, but he was professional and meticulous and incredibly good at electrical, painting, and plumbing!). They painted our entire 3 floor condo, completely gutted the kitchen and replaced all appliances and cabinets, and took care of all of the odds and ends that needed fixing before move-in. I appreciated being able to touch base by phone and email throughout. Had a few mis-steps with subcontractors, but I'm not sure I would have avoided them if I had been managing the project myself. All in all, Chris's work was topnotch and it was a pleasure working with him and his team. The flowers on the table when we moved in were the perfect touch!

They provided me with an estimate and were out in 48 hours to do the job with a full crew. They did a terrific job. I would use him again for any other contracting work around the house I need done. He was very professional.

Chris and his wonderful crew rescued us and our kitchen after a 25-year-old plumber (not from CJ's team) snaked out our 95-year-old bathroom pipes and the you-know-what literally hit the (ceiling) fan! Our kitchen ceiling fell in and everything else was a mess. They basically repaired and remodeled the entire kitchen and helped us figure out how to do it all for a price we could afford. Walls, floor, ceiling, counter, cabinets have all been replaced and an old, not-in-use chimney was torn out to give us more space. From the beginning, Chris stood out from the other contractors who came to look at the devastation of our kitchen and give us quotes. He had (and told us) ideas for how to approach each project, gave us prices, and explained why things would cost what they did. He and his crew did wonderful work and were a pleasure to have around the house. We're already saving up so we can hire them again for future projects. I recommend them highly and without reservation!
