The Bee Man

The Bee Man came to our home due to a walsp issue we had in our home. He came to our home and treated by using chemicals. He sprayed inside and outside the home and took care of the issue. He was very professional, he knew what he was doing and what to use for the problem. He guaranteed the work for six months. He was punctual and prompt. I will use this company again if needed.

In mid October we found bees entering our garage through a small hole near the window frame. Kevin came out the same day and gave us options for treatment. He was able to treat the bees immediately, even though it meant he worked outside in the rain. I was very impressed with Kevin's knowledge of bees and their habits. He was also kind enough to offer us the Angie's List coupon discount, even though there was no printed coupon. Being retired, we really appreciated that kindness. I believe the treatment was successful. I would definitely hire Kevin again.

Kevin responded right away to our call and even came the SAME day we called. We had 3 horrific, well-established hives of ground bees. Kevin was able to get to, remove and chemically treat all the hives. Within days were were completely free of any signs of bee life after his service. Since my husband is allergic, this service was literally life-saving because of how extensive the hives as well as the location. Not only was Kevin the quintessential professional, he was just about the nicest, genuine, insightful people we've ever met. He enjoys his work (even though he can and does get stung when hives are so extensive), does a great job, and is kind and considerate.

I noticed that bees had apparently built a nest behind the brick above my front door (I could see them going in and out of a hole along the window frame). Called The Bee Man at 8:00 AM and he was there by 9:30. He explained in detail what the bees were up to, and what would be necessary to completey eradicate them. He was very careful while working inside the home, and by 10:30 the job was done. Within a couple of hours, the bees were gone and I haven't seen a any since! The Bee Man took extra time with my 8 year old daughter to explain to her how bees do what they do and how we have historically benefited from this amazing creature. Kevin is one of the most personable and hardworking men I've ever had working in my house. He is knowledgeable on many subjects and seemed genuinely happy to engage us in conversation while we watched him extract the hive. It was such a fascinating process and I am grateful that such time was taken with us to explain everything. While no one wants to spend $4,800 on any home repair project, this is one project that a Do-It-Yourselfer like myself couldn't imagine tackling. There were many variables involved because wild animals are incredibly unpredictable. However, Kevin covered all his bases to ensure that this is one problem solved. UPDATE: THE BEE MAN Called on July 28, 2011 and told me that he'd made an awful mistake. There was a lot going on at the job site when he was writing up my bill and inadvertently overcharged me by by $1,000. The kicker is, I'd ALREADY paid him. He met up with me the next morning to give me BACK MY CHECK and charge me the CORRECT amount. WOW. $1,000!!!! Given the confusion at the site he hadn't caught the error until he went home and was copying his paperwork. Needless to say, this act of honesty gives me one more layer of respect for the BEE MAN.

We called late on a Tuesday and reached the answering service. Kevin returned our call that evening, asked very detailed questions regarding our concerns, and thought he could come on the following Thursday. Late Thursday, we had not heard from him so we called. He said he was backed up and thought he might not be able to come until Friday or Saturday. Within the hour, he called back and told us that the last job was going faster than he expected and would be able to come that same evening. He arrived approximately 5:30 pm and the consultation and work were done by 6:00 pm on Thursday as originally planned. Both Kevin and his assistant were very polite and courteous. Kevin demonstrated thorough knowledge and understanding of many different kinds of bees. Kevin was very willing to spend time answering our questions and providing education regarding what we can manage on our own versus when the job needs to be handled professionally. When the mason bees arrive (and they will), we will certainly call Kevin again. NOTE: We did not seek other estimates for this work. The Bee Man came recommended by 2 colleagues. When I reviewed Angie's List, I found the 3 leading "bee" contractors to have similar reviews and service costs. We did not want to wait for multiple estimates as the carpenter bees were working very fast on our porch ceiling, and we wanted to move faster than they were!

He responded expeditiously. I was concerned because the bees were attacking my neighbors. He seemed to be very competent and had an idea about the lifestyle of the creatures that he was taking care of. He didn't seem like just someone who was out trying to make some money. He came across as a real professional and provided excellent service. I would call him again if I had a problem.

We recieved excellent service. The Bee Man came to our house and wrote up an estimate. He returned exactly when he said he would come back to remove the bees. The bees were in the wall behind an old built in dish cupboard and also in the second floor closet, all the way up to the roof. It was more than anyone thought. The job was huge. My garage was filled with yellow jackets and nests! I called The Bee Man Kevin and he came to my house the next day. He assessed the situation - I had eight active nests and hundreds of yellow jackets. Kevin explained what he would do and gave me a great price. I am allergic to yellow jackets so I called him out. He was expensive but he did the job. I did not get other estimates for this job because I really just wanted the yellow jackets gone. He guaranteed his work for about months.

He was right on time, and removed a very large hornet nest from my house, located near the garage door. The Bee Man gave me the Angie's list discount cheerfully. We had a short conversation, where I found him to be very congenial.

After he decided there was no nest there and thus no threat so he did not exterminate the insects and there was no charge. The appointment went well.

Kevin came to my house within an hour of my calling. He provided an estimate to remove a large hive in the ground by my front door, and also a double yellow jacket nest that was located between my exterior brick and siding and had moved into my ceiling in the house. Kevin's estimate was very fair and he performed the work at that time. He was efficient, thorough, professional and friendly. Excellent. He was over to inspect a few hours after our call. He completely explained the process. After providing a price we had him do the extermination at the same time. Was very efficient and the job took about 1.5 hours. He left the work area clean. We were also given instructions on what to watch for to make sure the job was completed. The final cost was a pleasant surprise. He was not aware that we had a 15% off Angie's coupon until I went to write the check. The correct amount was deducted. I was concerned that if he was aware of the coupon prior to the quote that the quote amount would be raised to cover the 15% reduction. The job was done in a professional manner by the owner of the business.

we had just bought our house over the winter and when spring came around we noticed alot of different kind of bees flying outside our house and in the screened porch.
