They’ve done an outstanding job for me. They did everything that they said they were going to do. They were on time. They supplied the skylights. They recognized and corrected a problem with the previous set of skylights. There were wrong skylights where the roof slopes so they installed proper skylights. I would definitely hire them again.

With the exception of one major glitch, which I'll mention soon, this was a great job. The estimate was right on. The work was professional. They cleaned everything after, without raising dust throughout the house. The glitch was that the originally ordered "replacement" skylight was the wrong size. The replacement skylight, even though ordered based on the part number from the original skylights, was too small. Luckily, this problem was noticed before work really got going. Craig was exceedingly professional about the problem. He took full responsibility, reordered the correct skylights and was back a few weeks later to complete the work. While I would like for the work to have been done on that first day, I really can't complain about how the problem was handled.

They were fantastic. They were honest, professional, and timely. A great company.

We just had Craig come over and give us an estimate on the skylights we would like to have installed. He was very professional, punctual, and provided us with complete information. He answered the zillion questions/concerns we had (particularly related to installing totally new skylights - which obviously means cutting giant holes in our roof). He gave us literature on the products he uses so we could refer to it later, and provided a written estimate via email in a timely manner. He also provided the estimate in a way that we could price out our total expected costs if we decide not to have all of the skylights in his estimate installed. Once we're ready to install the skylights, there is no question at all that we will use this company!!

Mr. Craig Thorsland, President of Sun-Up Construction insured my call for service to my house, which is for sale, arranged for us to meet in just 3 days. He (they) came in just four more days, and completed the job, very much to my satisfaction. I could not sell a house with a hole in the roof.

Excellent. On time, on budget, neat work. Excellent product.

started out great. prompt, professional. He said we could piggy back off the kitchen permit as we were remodelling inside as well, so we didn't have to get another one. Found out, after the fact that that is illegal. Came back to fix one of the the railing that was poorly joined. We had in the contract that the deck had to be up to city building code. Found out later that the porch was missing a railing to be up to code. He returned to do that. Now, we have the railing posts all coming out because he did not screw them in and instead used thin nails that have all rusted. Some aspects of the rail construction are just not done properly. He put corner posts on top of the deck instead of hanging them on the outside. We have about 5 posts that are off and most are loose. The railing he built at the bottom of the stairs is loose. He responded to one email, but never came to fix it.

Good -- they were clean and quick. Craig is very responsive to emails and calls.

The porch is excellent. It is exactly what I wanted. He made accomodations for materials that were already there. They were very professional and finished the job in one day which meant it inconvenienced my mother as little as possible. It was a highly rated service which is why I chose them. My mother thought the price was fair. There was one area where I thought they could have done a nicer job, but she did contact them late in the season and they were busy. They did finish the job when they said they would and in time for her to get it stained. They were very responsive and I would use them again if needed.

Experience with this contractor was positive. Sun Up (Craig) provided excellent workmanship - he was punctual, professional, and installed skylight neatly and quickly.

Sun-up was very quick to respond to my service call. Craig provided a quote within the week and the skylight was replaced a week thereafter. They performed the job very quickly, were very professional, and left the job site as clean as they found it. I'd hire Sun-up again without a second thought!

I was extremely pleased with the service from Sun-Up Construction. The positive expereince began with them showing up to provide estimates when they said they would and they e-mailed the quote to me the next day. They came back when they said they would to do the job. While they were here they were focused on getting the work done, completed it in a timely fashion, cleaned up when they were done, and reviewed the work with me to make sure I was satisfied with the final product. It was nice to do business with a company (really with a person, Craig Thorsland, the owner of the company) that made me feel they valued my business and that takes pride in the their work.

I contacted the company; he came out within the week and meaured the deck. He said he would get back to me. He never called. I called three times and he never returned my calls so I gave up. I wouldn't use him now if he called. He is the one company I called from Angie's list. The others, not on Angies list were much more responsive.

They were interested in making sure we were satisfied. They were quick with giving us a quote compared to other companies. They made a custom lattice that matched our existing one. The finished product was fine except for the paint, which they did not prime correctly.

I thought their price was very good. Their service was very good and they came when they said they would. They cleaned up everything. They are very professional and a very well managed company.

I called and set up a time to meet with one of the employees. We settled on Saturday morning. I received a voice mail on Thursday night saying he couldn't make it, and to call back if I would like to reschedule. I called back Monday afternoon to reschedule, called once again to try and reach them and no one has still called me back. It's been two weeks now.

Craig answered my email within one day, called and scheduled a time to look at the deck within a few days. He emailed the price quote promptly. When we returned from our vacation, we called him to schedule the work. He showed up on schedule Thursday and started the job. Since his assistant was not available the next day, he returned on the following Monday and they completed the project. It was done well and he removed all the old lumber. Price was exactly what he quoted.

The estimate and the work went very smoothly. Craig would always show up when he said he would, and finished when he estimated he would. He and his workers were professional, courteous, and always left the work site clean and neat. The finished deck is the envy of the neighborhood. We love it!

Craig was prompt in responding, estimating, and getting the job done. He also did a follow up contact to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. He had two very skilled workers, one of whom was a skilled carpenter. They did a fabulous job. Their work is solid and the result is beautiful.

Craig was great. I needed an estimate before I put an offer in on a house and most people wouldn't come out since I didn't own the house already. Craig was quick to return my call and we found a mutual time to meet and go over the house I was going to purchase. Unfortunately, I did not get the bid on the house and am looking again....but will without a doubt utilize Sun-Up Construction for any future needs that I may have.

They did a tremendous job. I was real pleased that the end price was exactly the amount originally quoted. And, they made the deadline so that I could move in when planned. I would recommend this company for any residential or business construction project. They were very easy to deal with.

From the beginning of the project to its completion SUN-UP CONSTRUCTION INC performed extremely well. The owner, Craig Thorson and his assistant Joe were very professional and extremely nice to deal with on the project. There were a few unforeseen glitches but SUN-UP CONSTRUCTION took great care to insure that the glitches were were handled properly and in a timely manner.

Sun-Up did a fabulous job! They started when promised and continued until the job was complete. They did not come and go as some other contractors might. The job site was cleaned up each day, and their tools and materials were kept neatly in one area enabling us to continue using the patio and spa in the evenings. We would absolutely hire them again. Promptly returned my phone call. He was not able to take on my job, but gave me a lead for someone who could perform the work.

Craig is the best. He keeps you up to date on the progress, cleans up every day, comes up with creative alternatives if a problem arises, meets his deadline, & is the most reasonable as far as pricing goes. I am very pleased with my latest remodel (he has also done other work inside the house). I highly recommend him.
