+ 0 moreIn short, they did magic. Our aunt had been in her home for 50 years and the sheer volume of items in the home was overwhelming. Moving Forward worked to separate what was necessary and useful, were sensitive to prized possessions, were firm yet gentle with our aunt when she was having trouble making good choices. They were immediately responsive to us as we tried to coordinate a move from afar, since none of us are local to the area. Their assistance and their hard work was invaluable - plus their expertise in dealing with elderly clients is something special.
Description of Work: If you are moving a loved one, especially transitioning a senior, Moving Forward should be your provider. They are master planners and organizers, movers and even act as sympathetic social workers in the process. Alex and Connor did everything from assessing our aunt's belongings, transferring items to a workable floor plan, worked with us to ready her to move both physically and emotionally - with a plan for every contingency along the way. They got her new apartment in shape in a matter of hours and did an amazing job dealing with liquidating what was left over from a very crowded house.

Moving Forward offers the following services: We work side by side with the senior and their family from beginning to end. We create a digital floor plan, help with downsizing and organizing, pack, move, unpack, hang pictures, transfer utilities, make their bed, program their remote, and almost anything else that goes with transitioning from home into a community. Our goal when we leave is to have their new home feel as much like the home they just left, while relieving as much stress as possible for all parties involved.
