This gentleman was incredibly punctual, and a perfectionist. He cleaned up after himself every single day, not leaving a drop of dirt anywhere. His paint and drywall work was so extremely particular, I can't see a drop of paint out of place. Everyone raves about the work that he has done. He made sure to double check that I thought the work was good enough prior to leaving everyday.
Description of Work: Half bath demo and remodel. New drywall hung, toilet and vanity removed and replaced with new. New stone tile floor laid, new trim, paint and plumbing.

There is nothing I can say I disliked. The work was done in an excellent fashion and the worker was very detailed about everything that he did. The finished product looks wonderful, but the price was a little high. I will use them again in the future.

Dan Abraham cares about what he does! He cares enough to learn his trade and to continue learning, to work diligently but meticulously, to make it right rather than to make it fast, to act with humility and integrity, and to be respectful of his clients? questions and requests. He cares enough to deliver more than is expected. Ask yourself when you last said these things about a contractor. We certainly affirm what many Angie?s List reports stated as to Dan being prompt, neat, and clean, and we also felt comfortable giving Dan the key to our home. These all speak to character and are indeed meaningful criteria when judging a contractor. However, we have never found such reports in Angie's List to be helpful in answering our main concern; i.e., the quality of the finished work. Please know that Dan is not only a great person but he is indeed a great painter! We had hired two other painting contractors for earlier phases of our home remodeling project. In each case, they came very ?highly recommended,? but we were disappointed in their performance. I am well enough informed of proper construction practices to detect shortcuts and hasty workmanship and have no patience for such. Dan?s workmanship is spot on as to quality and correctness of detail. For example: He supplied a ceiling fan support bracket specifically designed for ceiling fans and installed it neatly, in the proper manner, centered in our ceiling, between the bottom chords of roof trusses in the attic. He supplied and installed ?Old Work? boxes for a hallway light and wall switches exactly as I had located for him, plumb, level, and with drywall fit tight to the boxes. He supplied and installed properly sized electrical cables in our attic, routing them neatly and hidden from view or possible damage. He labeled the wiring in a 3-switch box both at the box and at the fixture. He re-taped cracked drywall joints where appropriate rather than simply mud over the cracks. He feathered his drywall repairs, some as long as 6 feet, so as to be completely undetectable to the eye. He took the added time to fill all nail holes in newly installed moldings, casings, door jambs, etc., with wood filler and sanded them smooth as opposed to using painter's putty as is the practice of many painters. He primed the stained and polyurethaned windows with alcohol based primer and applied three coats of finish paint. His cut-in of our white ceilings and floor moldings with our darker walls is the best we have ever seen. He took the extra time to spray paint our window muntins to achieve a smooth and uniform finish. We found Dan?s quoted price fair having priced many painters in the course of our remodeling project and given the level of effort we expected from him. However, considering the additional time he took to perform the work and the high quality of the result, his price is unquestionably reasonable. Noting that Dan performs general contract type work and reading the excellent reviews of his work in these areas as well, we will be using him for future projects. We are very happy to give Dan our highest recommendation!
Description of Work: Project included: Furnishing, routing and connecting electrical service to newly installed (by owner), in-line, bathroom exhaust fan mounted in attic Furnishing rough-in fixtures for new light fixture above a full-length hallway mirror and for new ceiling fan/light in master bedroom ceiling Furnishing rough-in box for added wall switches Routing and connecting electrical service for new light fixture and ceiling fan noted above Preparation for painting including priming of previously wallpapered walls, repair of several cracks in ceilings, repair of loose screw and nail cover in walls, and re-taping of cracks as required for proper repair Painting of hallway and hallway closet, master bathroom, master bedroom and walk-in closet Painting of newly replaced bi-fold closet door, bedroom door, pocket door, casing for all doors, and baseboard moldings Painting of two existing, stained/polyurethaned Pella, double-hung, wood windows, including muntins.

Response from INTEGRITY RESIDENTIAL REMODELING
Customer satisfaction, second only to quality craftsmanship, is my utmost concern. This industry runs rampant with contractors who will schedule projects and then adjust and move the start, and subsequently completion, dates to fit their schedule, at the expense of the homeowner’s time. In an effort to combat this unfortunate fact, I tell potential clients up front whether or not I am available to do the work. At the time this Angie’s List member contacted me, my schedule was quite busy, and I was unsure of when I could complete the project. Rather than keeping this individual waiting, I opted to pass, giving the homeowner a chance to find another company that could complete the project in a timelier manner. I apologize to this Angie’s List member if he felt slighted or put off in any way; that was not at all my intention.

Because we have hired Dan to do work for us before we knew exactly what to expect: he absolutely knows what he is doing, he communicates clearly about what he is doing and why his approach is necessary, he works ridiculously hard and NEVER wastes time, he is perfectionistic to a fault and will complete each job to the homeowner's complete satisfaction. He cleaned up the entire site, down to using a metal detector to recover every nail that fell onto the grass. Dan even won the kudos of our township building inspector, who is very fussy! In addition to be a hardworking and trustworthy professional, he is also a thoroughly decent human being, whose quiet friendliness and good manners make him a pleasure to have around.
Description of Work: Dan remodeled our kitchen last year and we were extremely pleased with his work. We asked him how we could expand our deck without having to remove the existing roof. Dan made some suggestions and drew up plans for us to consider. Dan identified some major structural problems with the deck that were also identified on our original home inspection and noted that these would have to be addressed in order for our deck to be remodeled. In fact there was a good bit of consultation between Dan and the building inspector for our township because of the code problems with the original deck. On every issue, our picky building inspector OK'ed all of Dan's plans to remedy the deck problems before he began to remodel it. The bulk of the work Dan performed involved adding support to our deck, which was poorly built, out of code and at risk for structural failure. He added an uncovered walkway and removed the original stairs and built us new ones. Not only do the improvements add to the beauty and functionality of our deck, but while it will never happen, we could invite circus elephants to walk up those stairs and sit with us on that deck and all of us would be secure. Cramped, for sure, but in no danger of deck collapse.

Dan has performed various remodels for us to his exacting standards. We were very happy with his preparation and execution of each project. He was also very careful to keep our children and the rest of the house safe (e.g. dust) during construction.
Dan was exceptionally professional, knowledgeable, and did an overall fantastic job. He was on time every morning, completed the various jobs on time and left the work place in excellent condition. He did a number of dry wall repairs, repaired damaged wood fencing, and we originally asked him to remove kitchen wall paper, repair the drywall and paint the kitchen. Dan was concerned that we might not be happy with paint instead of wall paper so he suggested we consult a decorator (whom he recommended) to help with wallpaper or painting ideas and we decided to wall paper instead. This worked out very well and since Dan doesn't do wall paper himself, he recommended and arranged for someone else to do the work. Dan was very patient about the change of plans and I appreciated his suggestions and flexibility. I would highly recommend him for remodeling/repair work
Description of Work: Dry wall damage was evaluated, repaired, painted, and wall paper removed. Also fixed closet shelving, wooden fence.

Everything went extremely well and we are very pleased with the work that Dan Abraham of Integrity Residential Remodeling did for us. Dan was very responsive to our inquiry for a quote on the work that we had and he was able to visit with us shortly after we contacted him. He promised to send us via E-mail a detailed description of the work we asked to be completed with his quote and he did so as he promised. Once we accepted Dan's quote and asked him to begin work, he provided us with a detailed contract covering the job which we both signed. It extablished the date that Dan would begin work and the maximum time within which he would complete the work. Dan was punctual each day that he was working on our project. Our project presented him with some challenges, particularly in replacing the sole plates over about 80 feet of our basement. This required some precise notching of the plates to fit with the studs that had been cut away at the bottom of the walls. Another challenge was for Dan to match the color of the stain of the existing baseboards we asked him to reattach to the walls. Some of the original baseboards had to be replaced and Dan did an excellent job finding the right mix of stains to make the match. Our project required a number of skills on Dan's part which he demonstrated very well. From the soleplates to the wood staining to the drywall and patching, Dan did all of these things well. He did an excellent job of providing us with high quality, meticulous work while balancing that with hard, steady effort to complete the job in a timely manner. In addition to his fine work, Dan is a very personable individual who was kind enough to answer any questions that I had, both about the current project as well as some other questions that were off topic. We will definitely ask Dan Abraham to come back for additional remodeling projects that we have in the future.
Description of Work: Put a replacement section of drywall in our basement. Install studs on that section of wall that had been cut away for work on our foundation. Install sole plates on approximately 80 linear feet of wall. Reattach baseboards along all of the areas from which they had been removed for drainage work, using existing inventory when possible and acquiring replacement boards as necessary. Stain the replacement boards to match the appearance of the existing boards. Repair a hole in the wall of a powder room and patch a damaged section of the ceiling in our garage.

When I wanted to overhaul my kitchen and downstairs, the most difficult decision was finding a contractor to do the work. The contractor we had always used and trusted had moved away, so I was left to find someone who could replace him. On AL, I found and interviewed 5 contractors who sounded great. I narrowed it down to 2. The contractors I liked focused on my job--asking what I wanted, offering suggestions, answering question--and impressed me with their knowledge of home remodeling. They gave me detailed estimates. They offered pictures of previous work and references. One of these contractors asked to come back and take another look at my kitchen after I supplied the final kitchen drawings, to double check measurements and ask some additional questions about the work. He and I traded emails back and forth, as he invited me to ask any questions I had about any aspect of the work that would be done in my house. That investment of time and concern, and that fact that this contractor would do the work himself, made me decide to choose Integrity Residential Remodeling for my work. Dan's level of attention to detail is unmatched by any worker I have ever had in my home. The detailed finish work he did on our new cabinets is beautiful and reflects Dan?s skill and investment in the highest quality work. He could have easily done all the work on my list faster, but Dan never rushes anything. He is a perfectionist and it shows in his work. He sees things I would miss and makes sure everything is right, even if it isn?t obvious to others. Dan identified several preexisting problems and and asked if we wanted him to fix them. He works collaboratively with the homeowner, always giving us a choice in how to proceed. He is mindful of how our money is being spent. His assistant Mike also exhibits the same care and attention to detail and strong work ethic. The two of them work well together as a team. They are polite, pleasant, and pretty quiet. Their focus in on the work, so there was never any wasted time or goofing around. They occasionally worked very long days to get a task finished. I completely trusted them and often left them alone in the house while I ran errands. I absolutely made the right decision in hiring Integrity Residential Remodeling. After meeting Dan, I had high expectations for the work he would do in my house. He and Mike exceeded all of those expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend him, and plan to hire him again.
Description of Work: Daniel and his assistant Mike Harkins removed old kitchen cabinets and installed new ones, knocked out an existing pantry, refinished the kitchen floor, repairing and patching the hardwood where needed, installed hardwood flooring in a dining room and matched it to the existing flooring, installed new lighting in the kitchen and replaced older fixtures, repaired a broken pocket door, which required removing and replacing some of the surrounding drywall and installed new appliances. This simple list of work in no way conveys the amount of work that my kitchen remodel entailed. Much the original plumbing and electrical work in the kitchen was out of code and Dan fixed all of those problems, suggesting repairs that would address other related problems in other areas of the house.

Dan was recommended by several of the surgeons at the hospital I work at. After we contacted him, Dan was prompt and professional from the start, drawing up the plans himself and catering them to our wishes. His prices were competitive. He worked during the day while my wife and I were at work. The quality of work was superb. We have since used him to give our two other bathrooms face lifts.
Description of Work: Finished our basement, new walls, lighting, ceiling, installed new bathroom, and storage closets.
Absolutely wonderful! We only told Dan what we would like to have and he patiently walked us through each step of the process. From planning and designing to completion of the work, Dan was professional, courteous but most importantly trustworthy. He even accompanied Kelly, my wife, to home improvement store to help select a proper ceramic tile and grout for the mudroom (how many contractors would do that?!). Another thing I found surprising was that he does not 'mark up' any materials - saving us quite a bit of money. In fact, as per his request, we have called Dan several times with general questions about smaller projects I tackled myself. He gladly shared his knowledge with me over the phone and in a few instances made special trips to our home to explain and walk me through some of them.
Description of Work: Project 1 - Installation of ceramic tile floor in mudroom adjoining deck. Project 2 - Installation of new oven, kitchen sink, garbage disposal, and dishwasher in kitchen as well as vanity, toilet, and shower fixtures in master bathroom. Project 3 - Converted our dark and boring concrete basement into a bright and warm game room with separate laundry room and full bathroom.

We have an old house and wanted to preserve the look of both the interior and the exterior. I did not have a good feeling since all of the storm doors had to be installed on rotting wood. Dan Abraham very carefully removed the old door jamb and molding and installed new wood which matched really well in some places and made improvements in others. It looks better than ever before and the doors work wonderfully. We also have approximately a 6' opening across the front of our porch and could not find an industry standard to work as a baby gate. Dan designed and installed an ingenious solution that can easily be lifted by my wife and sets very secure on the porch. Two braces were created on each side and anchored tightly to the brick. It really looks wonderful. Dan was very meticulous and was very clear about our expectations before he began and made sure they were met when he was done. He was very personable with everyone - including the kids. He was very concerned for their safety the entire time - making sure they didn't have access to hazard zones or dangerous tools. I had not expected or thought of that and really appreciated his extra effort on all fronts. Highly recommended with NO reservations.
Description of Work: Installed 3 storm doors into rotted wood. Crafted a LARGE baby-gate from scratch. Kept my children safe and cleaned up thoroughly afterward.
