They do good work at good prices, which is probably why they are busy, but it takes them awhile (on the order of weeks) to get to your work, and they probably won't be able to say more than a few days beforehand when they actually plan to arrive. Works fine if you can be flexible about being at home to meet them, and if the work isn't urgent.

Although starting was delayed by a couple of days due to a communication glitch, once they arrived at my house everything was great. They ran the lines, installed the fan and did an awesome cleanup job which I truly appreciated.

took a long time for him to get stated. Said it would only take one day took 2. He was changing 3 boxes and got wire hooked up in wrong boxes. Left with out checking them. Had to come back. One nice thing is he did come back that night was there until 6 months later found he did not wire the boxes correctly and did not stand by his work. I would never use him again would hope you would not either.

I called Dave but he was leaving for vacation rot his brother, Doug, came out so I didn't have to wait. Doug was great, he came out the first time to see what needed to be done and installed most of the line for the motion outside lights. I bought the motion lights from home depot and he came out the next day to install. Doug spent a lot of time and he even came back when I called because I was having trouble with the furnace tripping the fuse. It wasn't related to the work that he did, but he changed out the breaker and I haven't had any trouble since. I would highly recommend Dave and his brother!

David Hirth is such a great electrician that I searched internet to leave a brilliant review for his business. But there were no public websites offering reviews. So I joined Angie's List ONLY to leave the fantastic review he deserves . This is not the first time David has done a job for us, just the most recent one. I called and left a message about us needing a job. He returned the call one or two days later. He is busy but I know he always gets back in touch before too long. He stopped by to hear me out on what needed to get done. He listens really well and makes suggestions to my financial advantage, example: I requested 3 motion spotlights, but he explained how the 3rd would be $$ wasted due to patio lights that remain on at night. When scheduling a time to complete the job he was willing to work around my schedule as much as possible so I didn't have to rearrange my work days. Dave kept good communication about when he would arrive for the job and was very prompt. While searching for the damaged area on the underground wire, he and his assistant were very persistent to get a repair for the lowest cost to me. They worked neatly outside as well as inside, my vegetable garden was just the spot where the ladder needed to be for one spotlight and he was considerate to step around everything carefully. Inside they needed to be in the attic and were thoughtful about keeping shoes and carpets clean. They swept and tidied after the garage ceiling trap door was constructed and replaced earth where underground wire had been dug up. Midway thru the job I asked if he would replace light fixtures. He agreed without hesitation. Dave has also done some smaller jobs and even emergency work like when we were hit with lightening (he returned call and came out immediately!). This is the second big job Dave Hirth has completed for us without me asking for an estimate up front....he is very trustworthy for excellent skills and fair prices.

Dave was on time and worked until the job was done to our satisfaction. This is an 80-year-old house which always turns up surprises for every contractor, but Dave wasn't phased. The job took longer that estimated, and he gave us several options for ways to keep our costs down.

Initial contact was a little frustrating. Was initially told "I will be out there the middle of next week." After the middle of next week had come and had not heard from him, called back and was told that another job had come up and it would have to wait until the week after again. After playing some phone tag, got him and his crew out here to do the work. Once here, he was all business. The fans went up quickly and efficiently. He answered all my questions and he was very personable. To do the same amount of work, I was quoted by other companies at nearly 3X what David charged me. This guy is too good to be true. Good solid hard work at a rock bottom price.

I called on Friday and my call was returned on Monday. We made an appointment and they showed up exactly when they said they would. Dave and his employee were very pleasant and completed all three jobs in about 2 hours. They left everything neat and I have no complaints whatsoever. I thought the price was very reasonable.

Employees were friendly, pleasant, and didn't make me feel stupid. They worked efficiently, and the work site was left clean. (Another electrician came on site and quoted a much higher price for the same project, stating that a new breaker box was required; obviously, this was not the case.)

David returned my calls in a reasonable period and was friendly and knowledgeable. He provided me with an estimate and the final amount was within the estimated amount. Overall, his work was solid and he was easy to deal with. Only disappointment was that he was not punctual for the appointment and was over an hour late. I was a bit disappointed by the lack of punctuality but I would use them again.

MR. HIRTH CALLED BACK PROMPTLY AND WAS REASONABLY PRICED. WE WERE PLEASED WITH HIS WORK AND HIS PROFESSIONALISM. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO A FRIEND.

PRICE WAS A LITTLE HIGHER THAN ESTIMATE. OVERALL DID A GOOD JOB.

MR. HIRTH WAS ON TIME, POLITE AND VERY REASONABLY PRICED. WHEN WE FIRST CALLED HIM HE RETURNED OUR CALL PROMPTLY, UNLIKE EVERYONE ELSE WE HAD TRIED! MR. HIRTH EVEN FIXED A SWITCH THAT MY HUSBAND TRIED TO DO HIMSELF (NOT TO SUCCESSFULLY!) AT NO EXTRA CHARGE.
