+ -1 moreOne of the worst experiences I have ever had with a contractor. Crew was repeatedly late showing up, stopped staining when they ran out of stain. Some areas of my deck were not touched at all and others were splotchy, looked like puddles of stain had dried in places and even a few footprints where the crew just walked through the wet stain. When I complained to Dave, the manager, he told me that i should have paid for a second coat. And now, one year later, there are spots all over my deck where the stain has just peeled off leaving the wood exposed again which means hiring another company to come out and do the job again correctly. Save yourself the hassle and hire someone else instead.

The job was beautiful, and immaculate. Everyone involved was friendly and pleasant to deal with. Truly one of the best home improvement projects we've ever had! We highly recommend them.

+ -1 moreThe whole experience was good, from the estimate to the finished product. Sam and the painting crew did a first-rate job. They arrived on-time, cleaned up before they left, and were professional all the way. They did several "above and beyond" tasks and made sure everything was back where it belonged before they left. The project took two days. We are extremely happy with the results.
Description of Work: We had Certa Pro paint three bedrooms, ceilings, a hallway, several closets and bathrooms. They also patched some holes, sanded a few walls, etc.

+ -1 moreGenerally a solid company whose product was sound. Mark Landman is professional and easy to work with. Employees (actually subcontractors) were prompt, friendly and always cleaned up. Price was definitely on the high side. Painters tended to use lots of fowl language when chatting with one another (never while in my company though) that could easily be heard inside the house.

+ -1 moreThe results were excellent. The crew (5 people) did the entire job in one day. They came on time on the date we had agreed upon. The workers were very careful; there was no spilling and no dust. We would recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Certa Pro painted three rooms and a series of doors and door frames. They also did some wallboard work in a powder room where a built-in medicine cabinet was removed.

Description of Work: Mark Landman of CertaPro Painters did a fine job of assessing and quiting the work. It involved ... 1) interior ceiling paint for a guest bathroom (existing paint was failing - cracking and peeling from poor application by an earlier contractor), and skim, sand, and paint one wall in a powder room (rough from wallpaper removal). Mark's painter, Bill, was patient and meticulous - scraped all loose paint/chips, skim coated with drywall all imperfections (many!), seal with oil based primer, and final coat with finish paint. Two week after application some stains bled through, but Mark had his other crew (while on site) re-coat. Final application appears to be holding well with no paint failure or bleed-thru. 2) exterior cedar siding, trim, soffit, fascia, and shutters (entire house) ... Mark's crew of two (Ray and Tony) did an excellent job, completing all work in only two days. Clean-up was thorough, even raking back the mulch they had disturbed in the beds. Although they had to slip the planned work schedule by a few days (due to other jobs), I didn't have an issue as my schedule was flexible ... I'm certain that if I'd had reason to stick with the original schedule, Mark's guys would have accommodated. Mark and his crews were all very polite and professional and took great care and pride in their work. Overall, I thought the price was just a bit high (I just didn't want to spend this much money), but in the end I got what I'd paid for - an excellent paint job by experienced, well-behaved, professionals. I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to a friend. (note: I would have given a higher "quality" mark, except that they had to come back for the return visit for the interior bathroom ceilings). Thank you Mark and crew!

Description of Work: I simply had a discussion and an estimate to paint the exterior of my home. My concern is that they tell you that they have a crew but I have heard they use independent contractors that do their work. I have not been able to verify this and so I am not ready to make a decision until I know exactly what the truth is on this matter.

+ -1 moreThe time estimate was off, it took longer than expected. They did find an extra person to help in order to try to correct this. The quality of the work was excellent. A lot of care was taken to keep things as neat and clean as possible. The team was very prompt, polite, and thorough. They kept us informed throughout the whole process.
