015Charlie and his contractor did very good work, I did not realize that whatever price he quotes is for labor only. I thought he was a contract\or and the price quoted was for the whole job. Once I realized I needed to either buy the needed materials or reimburse him for them, things went much more smoothly. Just be aware that handyman services ONLY provide labor for a project.

Everything was done quickly and well. I thought the delay between initial contact and the date that services could commence was a little long, but once they got to my place, I had no issues.

The estimator arrived promptly and communicated frequently regarding costs, timing and they met my tight deadline so I could close on my house. It was a fantastic experience, prices were very reasonable, and I plan to have them return in the event that I need their services again in the future.

No work was done as no one ever got back to me. If the company can never call a customer back, especially one who had used the services in the past, I would not recommend this company.

The follow-up by this service, which I assume is a referral service, was abysmal. I was not contacted for several days, then I was told they couldn't work with my schedule, then that they would follow up further. And there was no further follow-up. Ultimately, because this work was time sensitive, I could not use them. I would not recommend them to anyone who needed a job done in a timely and responsible way.

The guys did a great job. The crawl space they were working in was dirty and dusty and difficult to work in, but they got the job done. My calls were always returned in a timely manner and they were flexible and easy to work with. I would definitely use them again.

The experience could not have been better. I heard from the company on the following day. They were able to send a handyman that day to realign the door. They charged $40 for the service. The door now works perfectly

This is the second time I have used them and I highly recommend their services. I used to do all of these kind of jobs myself but it just was not fun anymore.

I was very impressed with the communication of Handyman Connection, their responsiveness, and their flexibility & willingness/ability to present me different solutions to my problem of varying levels of cost. Once I chose a solution, they implemented it as timely as possible - driven mostly by when my special-ordered doors came in, and worked around my schedule so as to cause as little disruption to my life as possible (this is construction around my home office after all). So they offered to come in all day Sunday just so most of this work could be done without impacting my work - then came in the following Monday while I was in Philadelphia that morning to finish up. When I came back, not only was everything done, at an exceptionally high level of quality, but all doors were (well) painted, pictures that had to be taken off walls to complete some of these tasks were hung back up again (and level too), and the entire workspace was spotless - it was like they were never even here. And the price was very reasonable for the considerable amount of work this 2-day project that involved special orders of materials, etc. entailed. I was extremely impressed by their professionalism, and will definitely be using them again in the future!

Great service! Professional, responsive, punctual, and polite. My service provider arrived right on time and had the job done within an hour. He cleaned up after his work was done. Very reasonable rates, too. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

I was charged $850 for the removal of a side porch, replacement of soffit surface, and removal of debris. I had to email the company 2-3 times to get a response on a date for the work to be done, hence the C for responsiveness. The work was well done, the handy man was professional and punctual. But the cost is what bothers me. At first I thought 850 was a good deal, but when the work was done so quickly I felt like I really got duped. This job only took about 5 hours. So starting with $850, I subtract the cost of the waste removal ($160 for the Waste Mgmt bag), and the cost of the soffit material (~$50 estimate) and I get to $640. I assume the rest is labor and profit. $640 / 5 hours of work is $128 per hour. If this was someone's full time hourly wage, that equates to $266,240 per year. I am happy with the work, but I think the price was shockingly unfair for what the job entailed.

The owner told me two or three times that he cannot get his workman to do small jobs because they make so much more money doing major additions and major renovations. He should sell Handyman Connection and call his business a construction business because that is what it is.

Mike Rayner visited our house and provided an estimate for the work. The nine recessed lights were LED and were provided by Mike. We provided the pendant light and two smoke detectors. Mike performed the work as scheduled, including clean-up after the work. All went well and we are pleased with the results. After seeing the results, we asked Mike for an estimate to replace the vinyl floor in our small 2nd bathroom with tile (covered in a different review).

While seeming to be a small job, it took a lot of steps, including removing the toilet, removing shoe molding, and remove the vinyl flooring. Then install underlayment, the new tile, grout, transition threshold and installing new base board and shoe moulding. The reinstalling the toilet, including new waxing, bolts, caps and flex hose. Then finish with caulking baseboard and painting. In addition, Mike got the bathroom to be level with the hallway floor (before, it was 1/4 inch lower). All in all, the job went well and the wife was happy with the new bathroom floor. Only one issue, several days after we noticed the toilet had a same water leak. Mike came out the next morning, first thing, and fixed it.

The first appointment was scheduled for Friday 25 April 2014, but the handyman cancelled because he was sick [?]; therefore, the office reschedule the appointment for Sunday April 27, 2014 at 1:45 p.m. But again, nobody showed up, called, or emailed me. I had to cancel several appointments waiting for this ?precious? handyman while he stood me up twice: UNBELIVEABLE! Such unprofessionalism from this company is inexcusable, rude, and extremely unprofessional. Now, what kind of compensation customer gets for such an admissible and unethical behavior? I paid to become a member of Angie's list, thinking that I could get an honest, professional and reliable service after years of being abused and manipulated by dishonest electrician, handyman, plumber, etc.etc. Which category, is a total disgrace.

I have used HC (Bob came both times) and I am so thankful they are around. We just moved here and not having a lot of help around when my husband is at work, it's nice to know I can count on the folks at HC to send someone when I need them. I have never felt uncomfortable having him in my home as he is always professional and kind. I am definitely keeping them on my list for all future needs. Thanks HC! :)

Frank did a perfect job! I really couldn't be happier. I was able to get an estimate scheduled right away, and everything was easily handled by Sarah via email. She responded to all of my emails very promptly, and now I'm in love with my kitchen! I had gotten a couple of other estimates, and Handyman Connection blew them out of the water. I would not hesitate to use Handyman Connection again.

As always, this company is OUTSTANDING. They always return my calls, confirm appointments and show up when scheduled. They completed by job list efficiently and cost effectively. When I can't do it myself, they are my go to call. Thanks Handyman Connection! I wish all businesses had your model.

The service was very good and the tech was very accommodating. Everything was very clean and done efficiently.

Since the work I was going to have done was extensive and I did send them a list, it wouldn't have been possible to just come and do it.

Bob overall was excellent. He worked for the good part of two full days and I believe that you did an excellent job.

The carpenter came on time and installed the steps without any problems. We asked him to paint the ceiling around the attic opening and he did that as well He removed the old broken one and took it out to the trash.

The company and the customer service was great. I am satisfied with their service. The quality of the work was good.
