It went well. They came out when they said they would. It took several days to do the work. They cleaned up after themselves.

They were very professional and creative in solving this unusual problem. I was very pleased with the service.

I had high hopes for this experience, and was sorely disappointed. First, the cost of the new concrete floor increased by 13% - the reason, as it was explained to me, was that the floor and the pipes and drains were unlevel. The house is over 100 years old, so it is surprising to me that this would have been unexpected. Secondly, I had scheduled this job 3 months prior to the actual installation. I needed to arrange for the furnace and hot water heater to be removed from the basement before they started, which I did. I spoke with the company about minimizing the amount of time I would have to go without the hot water heater, since the job was scheduled for three days. At that point, I learned that the job was 4 days, but we worked out a way to keep the amount of time without hot water to one night, by them installing a quick-drying pad for it. On the first day of work, I get a message at 2:40pm to call back because there is a problem. I called back at 3, but no one answered and I left a message and told them to try email, too. I got an email that said to call at 3:47, and I called back at 4, and again at 4:12. We made arrangements to meet at 7 at my home to go over the problem. We met, when I learned about the unlevel floor/pipes/drains and the additional cost, and that the steps to my basement had been supported by chunks of concrete (unbeknownst to me), and when the crew removed the supports and continued using the stairs, the stairs broke off in one big piece. At 9pm, I got an email saying that the crew had been scheduled elsewhere, and they would try to see if they could get someone to at least come put in the pad for the hot water heater. When I heard back the next morning at 10, I learned that the owner did not know that we were meeting at 7pm, nor did she know that there was a hot water heater in the basement (I'm not aware of most houses having a hot water heater elsewhere!). Therefore, the job was delayed until the next day, end of story. So all the time I had spent arranging and coordinating so that I would only be without hot water for only one night was wasted. (I have a 3 year old whose favorite activities are dirt and sand, so this was very important to me.) No accommodation or recompense was offered, although the owner grudgingly said she'd pay $100 for a hotel after I asked. I didn't have time to pack up my son in the middle of the week and take him to a hotel, and so I didn't use that option. Lastly, without asking, the crew removed the steps that had broken from my property, and when I called to find out why, the first response was to insist that the steps were broken before they started. Lucky for me, they had not been trashed, and they did return them to me. No recompense for breaking the "broken" stairs, either. (For the record, there was a lot of stuff in the basement prior to this job, and I had to get it all removed. All that stuff was removed without the stairs breaking off.) I really wanted to be able to recommend this company, as I even have a friend who is looking for someone to do a basement. Unfortunately, I can't recommend them.

Mark was great and told us that our basement was OK and he agreed to replace our downspout drain pipes. He was honest that he wasn't going to be the cheapest, as he was a basement waterproofing company and had a minimum job price. He even suggested we might be better off (and get a better price) calling a landscape company. We had other companies try to sell us french drains and use high pressure sales tactics. If you need basement work done, Mark and Advanced Basement Solutions will not give you the hard sell and will be honest and tell you what you actually need.

This is the company that recommend us to Tom's company. He came out to look for the same problem. He was very honest and professional. He said that the job would be better done by another company and gave us some recommendations.

I called today to verify my appointment for tomorrow. The lady that I spoke with was unaware of what I was talking about. She told me that I was scheduled for 11-12 tomorrow. She said that they were pretty tight for tomorrow and that is a possibility that they are overbooked and I do not want to wait around if my appointment were to get pushed back.

There were 3 men who arrived early to begin the job. They work hard and this is not an easy process. The workers encountered a couple of obstacles, but seemed intent on finishing the job in one day, they even continued into the evening. As a result there were a couple of aspects of the job that were not finished properly. We called the company and they sent a representative the following week to resolve the areas of concern.

The first time they completed the work I was not satisfied, but when they came out to fix the work I was satisfied with the work and would use them again.

They were very good! They did good work. They came back to check on stuff when I had other problems. They were very responsive andresponsible for the work. I highly recommend them.

Over the last winter a large part of my basement floor had an upheaval and there are many cracks. There was also a little mold underneath a couple of windows. I called Advanced Basement Solutions because they advertise a free estimate and are highly rated on Angie's List. the person I spoke to on the phone was very pleasant and arranged for someone to come take a look the following week. They called to confirm the appointment the day before and said they would be there between 10Am and 11AM. Chris from the company arrived a little after 11 and was very helpful. After taking a good look at everything he gave me an rough estimate of the work to replace 2/3 of the floor and said he will send me a full estimate later today. What I MOST APPRECIATED was Chris's honesty about the fact that there was no real structural damage to worry about and all work would mainly be cosmetic. What I thought was an immediate need turned out to be something I can do on my own schedule. I have more pressing needs to take care of so this came as a big relief and I truly appreciate the honesty of this company's representative. You can be sure that when I do have the work done I will use this company to do the work. They don't use subcontractors and you get a true family feeling from everyone I dealt with.

They sent me the final contract for $5000. I told them if they dont do anything by August 1st, I'll take legal action.

I was selling a house that was getting water in the basement. I set up appointments with 4 different water proofing companies. Advanced Basement Solutions was the first to come out. Based on conversations I had with other people who have had interior french drains installed I had an idea of what it should cost. The sales rep came out, told me what they do, and gave me a quote. I couldn't get him to come down on the price, but I thought the price he gave me was fair. I cancelled the other appointments and scheduled the work which was about 4 weeks out. This was the only downside to the whole experience, but anything good is worth waiting for. The original estimate was for 3 walls, the other long wall already had an exterior french drain. About 2 weeks before the service I decided to just do the entire basement since they were already going to be there, and I did not want the new home owners to have any issues in the future. This turned a one day job into a 2 day job. Despite their busy schedule, they accomodated this change by having their guys finish it on a Saturday. The crew arrived on time on the day scheduled, and were very professional. The house was completely renovated with all new flooring, and the only bathroom was on the second floor. I did not stay at the house while they did the work. They were very respectful of my property. They removed their shoes when they used the bathroom so they wouldn't get the fllors dirty. They finished up before I returned both days, so they even walked through the house to lock the doors and make sure all lights were off. I was very pleased with the work and the condition the house was in after the work was completed. I will use Advanced Basement Solutions again when I need waterproofing services.

There is nothing that I disliked, and so far, so good. They were very professional, and the work turned out good.

They were wonderful. They did what they said they were going to do, the price was reasonable, and they cleaned up after themselves quite well. They were pleasant to have around while they did the work. They were the kind of workmen you would want around your house. The price was quite satisfactory.

The only feedback I can tell is it is designed for the minimal problem; we have a problem that was larger than that but they seem to have no solution to it. It was a little bit frustrating. They did what they said they will do but it didn't solve the problem. It was coming out of the foundation so I decided to do something else that would work. We installed some exterior French drain, installed a larger sub pump and it solved the problem. I hope...knock on wood but it did solve the problem.

It was pretty good. I had to keep an eye on them a little bit. They did the job for the price. They came when they were supposed to and ended up doing a very good job. I ended up getting a good value but I had to watch them on a few things. I was selling the house at the time. There was a transfer of the warranty so the new people were able to pick that up, which was good. I checked them out before I hired them.

After finding termites at my sister-n-law's home and locating where they were doing the damage, I searched Angie's List for a company that would have experience with this type of work. I came across this company and based on the reviews I felt I would get a fair estimate. The contractor was prompt and courteous. The wood had been treated a few days prior. After the free inspection, the contractor felt that the two floor joists were not compromised and no work would was needed. Since no one present other than the contractor had experience to assess the situation, I appreciate that he was honest and didn't try to sell us something we didn't need. This company definitely lives up to their reviews and I will contact them for any future needs.

We were very pleased with the company rep who came to our home and he didn't lie to us and the cost that was presented to us to have our basement waterproofed, old sump pump replaced and additional one added was the best price. The guys showed up on time and did a great job and even got the job done early. We recommend them highly.

The two men, Bob and Dan, arrived to do the work on time several weeks ago, proceeded to do the digging around the basement perimeter, drilled weep holes in the concrete block wall, dug a pit for the sump pump, installed the pump, installed drain board at the wall perimeter and filled in the concrete. They also installed a discharge pipe through the exterior wall to conduct the water outside. When I asked Bob to move the location of the discharge pipe because I felt it would cause water to flow onto a nearby walk way, he did so willingly, no objections. He answered all my questions and explained the operation clearly. In preparing for the job, we removed wall paneling and noticed step cracks on the block foundation walls. I brought this to Bob's attention and he called the owner, Bill, who offered to come out a few days later to evaluate them. Unfortunately, Bill was unable to provide us with a solution due the way our house was built. He could easily have taken advantage of me and sold something ineffective but did not. I appreciated his willingness to admit a limitation. He also evaluated other foundation repair work done by another contractor hired by the previous homeowner. It's clear this company know its stuff. They have their procedures down pat and staff their business with knowledgable, thoughtful people. They are ethical. I would use them again without hesitation and would recommend them to friends and neighbors. By the way, their price was significantly lower than the competition. All in all a good bet!

I obtained 3 bids for the job & Advanced Basement's was the lowest. Their rep was also the only one of the three that didn't make me feel like I was being fleeced. He even came out for a second visit after one of the other reps sent me into a bit of a panic thinking that one of my walls was about to collapse. I was not in a position to have cosmetic work done on the basement, all I was able to do was address the moisture issue, and they were happy to do this. The work had to be re-scheduled once due to their truck breaking down, but on the next date they arrived on time & got right to work. It was a one day job & they cleaned up reasonably well. Overall I am pleased with the experience.

They were very accommodating. The appointment was scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and I ran into a work emergency that morning, and had to postpone it until 2:30 p.m., which they were able to do without any problem. Chris was very knowledgeable and professional. he looked at our basement as well as the concrete back porch and determined that the scope of the work that needed to be done was something that Advanced Basement Solutions did not handle. Despite the fact that his company could not do the work, he was very generous with his time and gave us some good recommendations as to how to fix the problem and what company might be able to assist us. He was very helpful as well as being honest about his company not being able to help us.. I was sorry to not be able to hire them for the job, but would definitely recommend them to others.
