This review is for their Millworks department. I cannot comment on any other Millworks line, but if you need to order replacement screens for Andersen windows and storm doors then I suggest going to a different HD. The Millworks department at West Mifflin either won't order the products or have absolutely no idea as to how to do it. I was informed by the Millworks team that I would have to order the Andersen parts from Andersen themselves. I went to the North Versailles HD and there were no problems with my order being placed. I'll have to drive out of my way to pick up the items, but at least I will have them instead of being turned down for service at West Mifflin.

Estimate was high but I was assured that having Home Depot warranty for 10 yrs plus 2 yrs no interest on credit would offset cost. It was also explained that my roof estimates from others were not accurate sq footage. I checked my creditc had $11,000 limit. Booked job. Next day they dropped my credit limit. There goes 2 yr interest free. No One cared ( sales rep, store manager) or even called me back to assist. I worked it out w main office, myself. Ps roof was already on by the time I found out I couldn't pay for it. The job, overall looks nice. My property was a mess when they left. To date, I have picked up over 60 nails , tons of shingle remnants! And cigarette butts !!! They showed up late both days, worked till 9 pm. How do you clean up in the dark??? Told installation manager, he didn't seem to care. After I called main office, he called to apologize, but not until I had complained . Said he'd call me back, still waiting.

They were going to let us use one of their trucks for frr as it would not in my car. So my husband went and got it and we were still charged, called them, they said , they would refund me and til this daynever did !

So far, so good. Everything worked out fine. I had a small issue with one of the plumbers they sent and I sent him home. I called Home Depot and they had another plumber out within an hour!

They sent contractors out and I do not really know where the contractors are from. Everything that they have done has been done really well. It is easy, you go in, buy what you need, they set it up for you and came out, and did an estimate. It was very convenient and a little bit more expensive. I trust them. They basically delivered whatever they will be going to do for you. They are reasonably priced. That was good.

Home Depot and Lowes charge M.S.R.P. minus any promotions for their cabinets. Cabinets have a huge markup of 70 percent or more. There are quite a few places here in the Pittsburgh area that will sell you cabinets discounted 50 percent or more. I found 2 places in particular that sold kraftmaid at a 50 percent discount. For example, I got a quote for a kraftmaid 60 inch vanity at Home Depot for $ 2414. I ended up paying approximately $ 2550 for 2 x 60 inch vanities,, but that included toe kicks and fillers. If you are paying anywhere near MSRP.... you are being ripped off

Sections of the roof had fallen off. I called them and they had hired a sub-contractor and there was nothing they could do about it. My roof leaks and my chimney has been repaired multiple times. I would never use them.

It is a pretty good place. We have been there once in a while.

From beginning to end our designer worked with us patiently and diligently. Jeff Saunders is amazing but all of the designers at some point had ably filled in when Jeff was off. We made countless design changes over a 2+year period and Jeff continued to support us and help us. He kept us notified of the sales so that we received the best price. Under Jeff's advice and guidance we purchased the American Woodmark cabinets in Savannah Auburn Maple Glaze with the Stonemark Granite countertop in Giallo Vincenza. The crown moulding and light rails that Jeff built are absolutely elegant and the craftmanship is outstanding. When I wanted a special height for the wall oven and microwave Jeff custom- built the cabinet and made it look perfect with the built in appliances. We could not be happier with the kitchen. We did not use Home Depot's installers because we had a trusted friend do the install. The only glitch we ran into was with the countertop installers. We did not know that they did not have evening hours available to view our slab. When we objected and insisted that we wanted to view our slab after work - the Home Depot management cordially arranged that for us with Bradley Stone. And our countertop is just perfect. Thank you, Home Depot and Jeff!!!!!!

Everything seemed OK until the work men came to install the kitchen cabinets. The workmen were dirty and looked like they slept in their truck. I would not have left them in if they did not have the proper IDs.. At first it appeared that they did a good job, but within 3 months the drawers started falling apart. After I called they did make this right and replaced and even upgraded all of the drawers. Within a year the hinges started breaking, so far I have had to replace 2 sets. I did call them about this, but they would not return my calls to fix this. I am wondering if this is a common problem because the store was out of the hinges I needed, when I first tried to buy new ones.

The price was good but the installer was not that good. He was in a big hurry. He wouldn’t come when he was supposed to. He didn’t finish the job properly. He left big gaps on one side of the room and we had to put real wide bead of cork.

.They helped us with the design. We were quite satisfied with the cabinets themselves. We had a relative that installed them but Home Depot helped us with the design and it all turned out great.

They did everything in just one day. They replaced vents, put on ice gaurd, and replaced the entire roof. The house is fairly large, so I was impressed with their work. They gave me an exact price when they gave me a quote. During the quote process, they took pictures and inspected everything thoroughly. The salesman and the crew that did the work were very professional and respectful. They had a great work ethic, and even my neighbors were impressed with their work. I was so happy that I have already received a quote to have them install doors in my home as well.

They were having some pretty good sales so we saved about 10,000 dollars on the job. They were willing to hold the cabinetry till we were ready to get them. The installers were rather precise. We had trim put on top of the cabinets and they were dead on. The measurments were spot on. A couple of adjustments had to be made after it was done and they came back and did them. They showed me a few tricks when they came back. It looked very sharp when they were finished.

I had cabinets put in and had some new appliances installed. Everything was very smooth. I am extremely fastidious about a lot of things, so they dealt really well with making sure everything was exactly the way that I wanted to. I would use them again in the future.

A sub contractor delivers flooring and supplies and at first was insisting they would "only leave it at the curb!" until I showed them my contract. Flooring is to be in home at room temperature for 3 days prior to install. The laminate installer was right on time and excellent. Even though it was a "floating floor" it had to be cut to size and tapped into place. He did sawing outside. Clean up was very good. The floor is beautiful. It is in a bedroom that is 13 by 15 as well as the closet. It took from about 9 am to 3 pm to install.

Most of the time, the large stores aren't very helpful, but I found a guy (I know, I should of written down his name!) who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I was given an adequate amount of information, told differences between screen doors, and even provided tips on the installation of the door. After I got home and started, I went back for a problem I was having trouble solving, and he helped me through the rest of the process. I was impressed that he would be so willing to help, especially given they sell the installation service at the store. The staff was generally helpful (once you find them), and overall I've been pleased with my experiences there.

Work was done professionally and on schedule. Interaction in the store was somewhat impersonal; it is sometimes difficult to get the attention of the appropriate salespeople at Home Depot, but the folks that came to the house were great.

We visited many different companies to purchase flooring. The home depot was the ultimate candidate for such. Every salesman there were very knowledgeable in hardwood flooring. We have a large dog and that meant a special kind of floor. Without them I would have purchased a floor that would have been ruined by my dog.

IT TOOK THE INSTALLER A LITTLE LONGER THAN I FELT NECESSARY TO CONTACT US. AFTER THE INITIAL CONTACT, THE ONLY WAIT WAS FOR OUR GARAGE DOOR TO COME IN AS IT HAD TO BE SPECIAL ORDERED. THE MAN DOING THE INSTALLATION WAS COURTEOUS, AND ARRIVED AT THE TIME AGREED. HE ALSO CLEANED UP AFTER HE WAS DONE AND DID A VERY GOOD JOB.

THEY WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND INFORMATIVE AS TO WHAT TYPE OF GARAGE DOORS WE NEEDED. THEY EXPLAINED PRICES WITH AND WITHOUT INSULATION.

THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL IN ASSISTING ME TO BUY THE RIGHT GARAGE DOOR. THEY WERE VERY PROMPT AND EFFICIENT IN THE INSTALLATION OF IT.

I FELT THE COST OF THE DOOR AND INSTALLATION VERY REASONABLE. THEY WERE VERY PROMPT AND EFFICIENT WITH THE INSTALLATION.
