 + -1 moreExcellent responsiveness. Anytime you have a water leak, time is of the essence. Technician blew out the blockage from the very long drain line, and made a new access for future flushing. This was quite the operation. Luckily, the Technician was very experienced and skilled. He then ran and checked operation of the system. Problem solved!
Description of Work: Unblock a/c drain line (block was causing water leak).

Description of Work: Our central air conditioning unit was not working and we called E.G. Smith to come service it. The unit is 25 years old and in poor shape. We discovered that the motor had blown. We decided to also replace the furnace which is 28 years old and is on its last leg, not to mention inefficient. We got proposals from four different HVAC contractors. E.G. Smith offered three different proposals for our needs, almost all of which were lower than the other three. They are coming out tomorrow to begin replacing our existing equipment. They were professional, prompt, courteous and the best price. I highly recommend them!

 + 0 moreI thought that their quote was a bit high. I went with someone else mainly because their quote was high. I have had no problems with them at all over the years. I haven’t had any unpleasant experience with them. We had used them only for oil and they were competitive. They were prompt and they did good work.
Description of Work: E G Smith Inc gave us a quote for heating oil. We have had them for heating oil for several years and they have also cleaned our furnace every year.

 + -1 moreCalled on Monday when we discovered the furnace wouldn't start. They came out that day and found that the problem was the ventor motor. Since it was not something technician had in truck he had to get from the ware-house. They were able to come back out and replace the motor on Wednesday morning. Happy with prompt and courtious service. A bit miffed by the hourly charge, but we just never have much work done so I am not aware of what home repair companies charge per hour. Overall, would use them again.
