Horrible!! Paul Bradley, the general contractor and owner gave me what I believed was a reasonable quote and time frame to complete the project. The end result went 1 month and $20,000 over budget. Time management and coordination of subcontractors was awful. Very few days was anyone working more than 4 hrs and there were many days that no work was done at all. During demolition 3 wireless remote controllers for my zoned heating/ac system were thrown away and debris fell through the floor and damaged part of my furnace. No effort was made to clean up the debris in the basement that was left after the demo and electrical/plumbing rough-in. The plumber cut the condensate line from the AC unit and left it leaking all over the floor. I had to get my own HVAC company involved for the repairs since his HVAC person was unfamiliar with the system. The drywall subcontractor was just one person and it took him 2 weeks to complete the drywall. The end result was completely unacceptable. Every seam on the ceiling was visible and many spots on the walls had the tape showing through. There were sections where existing wall met new wall that were not blended or finished with a skim coat. My neighbor who does commercial construction spent an entire day fixing the ceiling seams for me. I had to spackle and sand many spots on the walls myself. The drywaller left the job a mess every day with empty water bottles and trash from his lunch on the floor. There was a very long delay in getting the field measurement for the flooring, determining how best to level the existing subfloor, and whether or not the material I had chosen would even install correctly. There was a significant extra cost to level the subfloor and I was told by Paul that what I had chosen was going to be fine. The actual flooring installer was the one who told me I would not be happy with the end result of the floating floor I had chosen, because even with the added plywood/leveling the subfloor was still too uneven. Thankfully he was honest with me. I selected a glued-down type flooring material and had to wait for it to be ordered. The floor is still noticeably uneven. Paul installed my kitchen cabinets and when the appliances were delivered the refrigerator didn't fit in the opening, even though he told me what dimensions the refrigerator needed to be. He insisted that it was framed correctly but when he came to the house admitted that the opening wasn't square and he needed to fix it. His solution was to jam the fridge in the existing opening instead of detaching the pantry cabinet and move it over. I will be hard pressed to ever get the refrigerator out of that space. He was completely unprofessional. I came home early from work while he was there one day. The house smelled like cigarette smoke and the windows were open even though the air conditioner was on. I found cigarette butts in my back and front yard (no one in my house smokes). My concrete front steps were to be demolished and repoured. I was told this was to be done by a subcontractor and I needed to pay in advance for this, which I did, however the work was not done as requested. A make-shift form was propped up using salvaged boards and bagged concrete mix was used to simply re-face the existing steps. He ran out of bagged concrete mix so finished this in 2 days, allowing me to take photos. The end result is very bad. I questioned Paul as to why the job was done this way and why I was still being charged for a complete demo/repour. He told me the demo was attempted but couldn't be done because the stairs were tied into the foundation (not true) and there was a risk of damaging the adjacent wall of my neighbor's flower bed. I guess he never heard of a concrete saw?? When I pointed this out to him he insisted the cost was the same. I withheld the amount I paid in advance from his final payment. Paul argued this with me and said I still had to pay the full amount, however when I told him I had photos and was not paying for work that wasn't completed he backed off. It is clear that he deliberately lied to me and overcharged me, and was angry when I challenged him on this. There is a list of things that are not satisfactorily completed, and sadly, I will have to fix them myself, as I will NEVER contact him again. I have no tolerance for dishonesty. Clearly he felt he could take advantage of me. How could a single mom know anything about construction, right? I would just believe his lies and hand over my money, right? WRONG. I'm not that kind of girl. STEER CLEAR OF WESTBROOK CONSTRUCTION AND PAUL BRADLEY.

I submitted my availability after purchasing the big deal directly through Angie's list. The provider never contacted me. I reached out to Angie's List who called left a voicemail with the provider and emailed the provider. I waited over two weeks for the provider to contact me and they never did. Angie's List has since issued me a refund. I have no desire to have a provider that can't communicate a simple appointment or their availability to remodel my kitchen.
