Arrived at expected time. Made a phone call to Bosch, reset the error code. Ran a diagnostic, thinks a door lock or jam caused the error code. Washer now functioning. No new parts needed (whew!)

Service was never provided.
Description of Work: We used Rosedale service in the past with no problems. However, this time he forgot to schedule an appointment that we requested. We waited a week and on the scheduled day he never called. When we reached out to him he said he forgot and would reschedule. Then he forgot to call us back. One of his employees finally called, but by that time we had hired a different service. We went two weeks with a broken washing machine while waiting for him.

I am sorry I missed the call. He had called on the weekend when I did not have something to write with and I forgot to check my call record to look up the information when I got home. All calls are scheduled late the night before and I tell customers to call after 8:30 in the morning to get an idea of time then the technician will call them when he is on the way. Not having office personnel (just technicians) there is not anyone in the office to call everyone or do paper work. I did drop the ball on this one due to heavy schedule and once again apologize for that. Tom

Samsung Clothing Washer malfunctioning and chose Rosedale Service/Thomas Minshall from Angie's List. Called and asked if they knew the product line - to which they responded "Yes". Upon first visit, technician could not determine the issue and left - leaving a bill for $100. As machine was still malfunctioning, I called and they agreed to send the same person back! He returned and determined a new part was needed. I asked how quickly can it be repaired - there are 4 teenage girls in this house and days w/o a clothes washer is a bit of dilemma. The technician told me he'd order the part in a day or two, it would take several days to get in, but was then he going on vacation for a few days, so probably 10 days to have the appliance repaired! I asked if he could order the part the that day, and have it overnighted - that I would pay extra to expedite it. "That's not the way it works around here," he said. I called the office, and explained what was going on. The proprietor told me he'd check into it, but they were busy and maybe they could find someone else to help. I hung up, ordered a few parts on line and had them delivered overnight. I did not know exactly which part I needed so I ordered a few extras (water pump, motor, etc.). Yes that was inefficient, but much cheaper and faster than dealing with Rosedale Service. The parts came the next morning, I put them in myself and was back in operation. Be careful with this service provider. They do not seem to know the meaning of Customer Service. I paid my bill to them, and they cashed the check, but they did not deserve the money. Do not use Rosedale Service

I am sorry that you were dissatisfied with your experience. The Samsung washer is complicated, which is why many servicers will not work on it. The technician ran through the diagnostics and no error codes showed up. He checked the pump for obstructions and ran the washer on fill, spin, wash and drain. It ran okay ( as he stated on the bill) and the technician left a bill for the minimum service call. When you called back, he calculated that you would need a control board and informed you that he was on vacation the next week. Since we have no office personnel, it is hard to do jobs and spend time researching parts availability. The overnight aspect of parts is expensive and usually involves paying retail for parts plus shipping. This would make the job prohibitively expensive to cover business overhead and not practical to repair as it would approach the cost of a new machine. Once again, I apologize for the situation and that is why we only charged the minimum service call. Tom

After searching Angie's List called Rosedale Service as our 11+ yr old Frigidaire refrigerator was making a buzzing noise frequently and no longer cold enough. Got a live person who was able to get me on the schedule for the next day. I called in the morning after 8:30 am to find out the approx. time to expect the service person. Craig arrived within the 10-12n window I was given at 11am. After checking out the refrigerator, Craig said it had a bad starter relay and that the compressor was probably bad or about to go as it was hot when tested. Suggested we'd be better off getting a new refrigerator. Decided to follow his advice.

I have used Rosedale 3 times now, and am very pleased with them. They are not directly inexpensive, but you get more than you pay for. They really know what they are talking about, and several times they have suggested solutions that cost us nothing and gained us a lot, while other repair shops have suggested expensive solutions then couldn't deliver.
Description of Work: The $300 service was the oven, a relatively easy and quick fix. The most impressive & expensive job was fixing a stovetop that 3 other companies were hopelessly lost with and gave up. It was still a lot cheaper than a new one, and it works beautifully now for the first time in many years. They also fixed both dishwashers, sometimes at no cost to us at all, and they repaired a non-working fix on a vent fan attempted by another appliance repair company, picking it up from a half done state and getting it working perfectly for the first time in years.

I am sorry for the delay in getting back to your job. The part had to come from the factory which took 7 weeks to send it to us (Their distributer did not have it in stock). It came in Thursday and I left you a message on your work phone and the technician called you Friday to try and do the job. I must have missed your call before that in which case we would have explained the delay in getting the part. I have no system, office people, or time to call customers before part arrives. Call to resolve this situation and I will try to satisfy this repair job. Thanks, Tom

The technician that came out was professional and polite. Only took him about 20 mins to complete the job. When I received the bill I was shocked at the price. I haven't had a lot of repair work done in my home to have much to comparing it to but it just seemed very expensive. I would use their services again in the future after doing my research on pricing. I should have asked when I called but was in need to have the repair done ASAP.

We are sorry we disappointed you. The problem you stated could have been a timer or knob or binding shaft. The knob we have not used in 2 years and therefore would not keep in stock. Service call and diagnosis is 95.00 and it does not cost extra for another trip for parts. The knob is almost 30.00 and the charge to replace was minimal.

I call on a Tuesday and they ask I call back on thursday at 8 am to schedule an appointment, (1/2 day off work). At 8am a guy that doesn't have a clue of my last call asks me to call back in a 1/2 hr. At that time they say they will be here at noon. Keep in mind I I gave them the make and model number of the oven. Guy shows up and tells me he cant do anything because he got a new truck that wasn't stocked with parts, So same drill the next Tuesday: call at 8 am that morning for my schedule. OK coming at 12 pm. didn't make it to one pm. tried to leave with the burner a 1/4 inch off the stove. Then charged me $300. Don't ever call these crooks.

I am sorry for [removed member name]'s disappointment, perhaps I did not communicate the procedure properly. Every call we get is asked to call after 8:30 the morning of the job. (The schedule is put together late the evening before). When they call they are given a 2 hour time span (e.g. 12-2) Although it is impossible to know how long the previous jobs will take. It is not possible to stock every part on the truck, even with a model number, we do not know what parts will be needed. This does not change the price of the job, since there is a set charge for the particular failure. I will endeavor to communicate more clearly next time. Tom Minshall

He did a great job, at a fair price, only problem was he said he would come Tuesday at 8:00 am but when he was not there by 9:00 am I called him and he had forgotten our appointment and we had to reschedule for Wednesday, when he checked out the washer, he did not have the part he needed so we had to wait til Friday for the repair to be completed. Our washer was not that old......how could he not have the parts he needed on his truck? It was a common washer!

I am sorry that I forgot the appointment, it was at a time that we do not normally service and I was going to stop before coming to work. We open at 8:30 and Technicians come in at 9:30. The first call is usually about 10:00. We have only used 4 of that particular part in the past 7 years which is why it is not stocked on the truck. This does not change the price of the job, since there is no second service call charge to come back with the part.

Not impressed. First visit they determined that the electronic board and one fan was not working but they did not have the parts to repair it so had to order them. Refrigerator was unplugged and doors left open for the days in between visits. When they returned with the electronic board and one fan to replace the faulty one but the other fan was now not working either, although it was working when they left the first visit. When questioned what might have happened I got a 'I wouldn't replace something that didn't need it'. The team was comprised of two young men, one which I didn't know at the time was a trainee. They never told me that which would have been helpful as I kept hearing cues that he didn't know what he was doing. They seemed to have to re-do several things that were not done correctly. The trainer of the two had an attitude issue. It was clear that he hadn't had any training in customer service and was condescending and outright rude. Interestingly they left the broken parts for me to dispose of instead of asking if they could take them to recycle like other companies have done. The weather was bad, heavy rain the day they came but they didn't offer to remove their shoes or have covers for them so they didn't track through my home. As they pulled out the refrigerator I commented on the floor being dirty, but there was no offer to wipe it up or given an opportunity for me to clean it before they put it back. Would have been nice since it is so hard to move. There was no itemized receipt, felt that they just pulled the charges out of the air. Definitely didn't feel like I got a fair deal, no way of telling if I was getting ripped off. I did a follow up call to the owner of the company to give him feedback and was met with defensive attitude and that the charges are all according to the and quot;bookand quot;. Just got a unsettled feeling about every aspect of this company.

I am sorry [member name removed] was not happy. Granted that the technician should have told her that one individual was in training. I believe that the perceived attitude situation was caused by starting off on the wrong foot, as the technician had called to tell me that she had taken their picture without asking (Later when I talked to her, she said it was an accident. But did not tell them). We charge all jobs at a flat rate from the appliance industries Blue book rate which has no parts/labor breakdown for jobs. This works to allow a fair charge for the job regardless as to the length of time spent, so an experienced technician charges the same amount as the technician with less experience. It is customary for us to leave the defective parts to show the customer that they were not being charged for parts not needed. There are a couple issues mentioned that I will address for the future. Called Rosedale Service late on 21 May. Rosedale Service came out on 22 May and determined washer needed new belt (belt was obviously shot), which had to be ordered. Rosedale Service installed belt the next day (23 May), however, that did not fix the problem. Rosedale Service returned the next day and determined a seal was causing the belt to slip (and burn up). Seal was ordered and installed on 28 May (after the Memorial day holiday), along with another new belt. Washer is working fine now. While the above took days, the real problem was masked by the belt failure. New belt worked fine after installed, however, it failed that evening. 2nd belt showed signs of burn through. Observation: taking apart the washer in our our laundry center was not an easy task. Rosedale Service cleaned up the work site after the repair. I would call Rosedale Service again if needed.

The labor involved was not $375 but more like $300 which includes the $95.00 service call and charge for changing the $330 worth of parts and also for checking the washing machine. This price is standard for this job (per book listed repair) as this is a high end value range which is more technical than the standard range. I am sorry that they were not satisfied as the technician actually worked until 6:30 to get the unit operational. Tom

Craig arrived on time and knew just what to do. He had the old busted part taken out of my fridge before I could offer him a cup of coffee. He tried to adapt a part he had on his truck, and when that didn't work, he just ordered me a new part and returned promptly to put the new part in. He accommodated my schedule for both visits. My fridge works real well now, and I am happy with my experience with Rosedale. I would recommend them highly for appliance repairs.

My 7 year-old Bosch dishwasher flooded the kitchen. I called for service from ABC Appliance, where we had bought it, and they actually recommended Rosedale for Bosch, so I called Rosedale. The guys (Craig and Joey -- I think) came as promised the next day and diagnosed the problem. I have lived in many houses and had lots of contractors and service techs work on them, and I'm used to listening to them when they come to work in my house. I was very favorably impressed with Craig as he diagnosed and explained things to the other guy, whom I've got to think he was training, at least on Bosch dishwashers. Craig said he'd order the part and get back to me in a couple of days. And he did just that. 2 days later he installed the new part, and I don't have to hand wash the dishes anymore -- hurray! I certainly liked these guys enough that the next time I need appliance service, I will call them. Sometimes I get the feeling when the service people work for the place that sells the appliance, they are a bit quick to suggest it's time for a new appliance. Just a feeling I developed after our refrigerator, which was bought at the same time as the dishwasher from the same place, needed repair and was told, and quot;well, if the repair is about equal to 30% of the cost of the appliance, it's time to replace it.and quot; Blah, blah, blah. I don't intend to buy a new expensive appliance every 6-8 years, for cryin' out loud. I'm going to use the people who are in the business of fixing them, not selling them. I will call Rosedale the next time I need appliance service. I hope they stand the test of time! I don't have a good review for the cost. I did not compare with any other company. And I was so desperate to have the dishwasher fixed, that I didn't even ask about a dispatch fee, etc. when I set up the appointment, so I don't have information to share about that. Next time I will ask more questions.
