The service was great and very professional. I would recommend Signature Heating/Air Conditioning/Geothermal for anyone who wants to get great service and be explained options for selection. There was never any pressure to purchase any additional items. They checked the system and ensured everything was in working order. I highly recommend if you are in need for home heating and/or cooling.

The tech found a problem I knew I had ( no idea how to fix it ) so he fixed that also for the price of the part. Also went out of his way to fix small problems like tapping up open spots with tape to close of and make my system more efficient. I signed up for the $14 a month plan. They come out to you house twice a year to test and clean your heater and air. You also get a discount if they find a problem. GREAT GUYS!!!!!

From the purchase of the Big Deal on Angie's List, Signature Heating was extremely responsive and professional. They called within a day (probably even within a few hours) to discuss a question I had posted when I purchased the deal and also set up the appointment based on my availability. The day of the appointment, I received a call to let me know that the service technician (Scott Shaw) was on his way and from where so that I could gauge arrival time. He was right on time, used booties which I appreciated given the damp weather, and explained what he needed to do and have access to. As he was performing the service, he kept me updated on the progress and alerted me to things that needed my attention. The units are old, and Scott uncovered a problem that no one else who has looked at the units noted and he showed it to me without just telling me about it. Even though it is fairly serious, there was no heavy sales pitch or making me feel as if I had to make a decision about what to do about it then and there, which I also appreciated. He explained the issue, what is needed to correct it, and we will be able to determine a course of action based on his information. The work itself was performed within the time estimated, and Scott left everything in the same condition it was when he had arrived.

Joe Sarbello showed up at the exact time scheduled. He was very professional and thorough. He explained what he was here to do and then went about doing it. He examined the indoor unit and the outdoor unit. He then presented a list of options to repair the things in the current system that were not working correctly. He also answered questions I had about replacing the current system and arranged an appointment with a Signature salesman, so I could understand the cost consequences of a new system.

Signature recently installed a heat pump HVAC system in our home to replace an old, non-functioning unit. Bob Gress, the company's owner, came out to talk with us and provide a competitive quote for geothermal as well as traditional heat pumps. In all honesty, although his company came highly recommended for solar and geothermal work done for a trusted friend recently, we anticipated staying with our (then) current HVAC contractor. We invited Bob out as a formality to get that second quote one feels necessary for this type of expenditure. That began to change when, within 5 minutes of entering our home, Bob identified a problem with an incompatible thermostat that had gone undetected by our HVAC contractor of 4+ years. Bob further impressed us with his thorough evaluation of our HVAC system; we instantly felt that he was an experienced mechanic (who just happened to own the company) who wanted us to invest in the right equipment that would enable us to be comfortable in our home. That proved to be a correct assumption, because, true to his word that he "doesn't like to spend a customer's money when it's not needed," he talked us OUT of a more expensive system for our home and showed us the energy and ROI #'s that were based on our home's already small carbon footprint to back up his recommendation. He also offered us some energy smart advice on improvements we could make with the extra money that would reap greater rewards for our pocketbook and for the environment than putting in the more expensive HVAC system. Mind, these were not jobs he planned to bid on; rather, he offered them at no charge as a value added service. On the day of installation, his crew arrived on time, they were extremely conscientious and professional, answered all of our questions about the equipment, and cleaned up so - except for the new heater - we would have never known they had been here. They even found a section of a 2x4 covered in mold that had been wedged up in the (recently cleaned ? or so we thought!) ductwork that had been blocking airflow to our previously chilly bedrooms. Bob called later that evening to verify that the work was completed to our satisfaction. The system is keeping us more comfortable than we ever were before, and we could not be more pleased with the service, friendliness and professionalism we encountered at every step of the way with Signature HVAC.

I can't say enough about the quality of the work done by Signature. The technician was great. Took extra steps that I know other vendors would not do at that price. Clean up was excellent and the humidifier works great. I have found my heating and cooling contractor. That is a real find. A local company that takes great pride in their work. Signature coordinated drilling of two wells and vertical loop installation for a geothermal heat pump system. They installed the heat pump and hot water system and connected it to the third party loop piping (included in the total cost). I had a small issue with the thermostat, but they came out the very next day and reset it. The unit runs great and I was very happy with their service from getting the estimate up to final installation.

Joe Sarbello is good at what he does. He is professional. The service is great and they are clean and neat. We are very satisfied. This is a great company that I would recommend.

I first contacted Signature because I thought I needed a new HVAC System. I had done lots of research into what to look for in an HVAC company / installer. Scott M (sales) was amazingly professional, caring, honest, thorough, and met every standard on my "buying checklist." However, there was some question as to whether or not I actually needed a new furnace so they sent their technician, Joe S., out to take a look. Indeed, all I needed was a repair, tune-up, and some new parts. Turns out my old service company had put the wrong parts in! Everybody at Signature was very professional and friendly. They pay really close attention to detail and truly care about "wowing" their customers. They went the extra mile to educate me in a way no other service tech ever has. It clearly makes a difference to work with an HVAC company where all their people are nationally certified. The difference shows. When it comes time to buy a new system in a few years, Signature is the only company I'll bother to call.

There was some initial confusion in developing an estimate in the work which delayed their bid. He contacted me and is currently developing the estimate. He was very professional in explaining the delay an accepted the responsibility for the error. This changes my rating of this company significantly and I am looking forward to the estimate and will revise this review further when I receive the bid. I am comfortable that the earlier situation does not reflect their normal services as I had received very strong recommendations for others who used their services earlier. I have received the estimate and am moving forward with the project and intend to use there services.

Overall experience was extremely pleasant and satisfying. From the proposal phase to the final installation Signature was very professional. Even with Angie's list there is always a chance you will get a contractor that is terrible to work with; however, this is absolutely not the case with Signature. Bob, the owner, arrived for the first visit to access my situation on time and was very polite and attentive to what I needed. He offered suggestions and did not try to push for the most expensive options. I had 5 other proposals, Horizon, Mattioni, Haller, Brandwine and Adam Mechanical. Horizon was $5000 more than Signature and Mattioni never bothered to send me a proposal. The other contractors were professional and in the ball park for price. I decided on Signature because a former colleague had used Signature and was very satisfied. On the day of the installation, Signature showed up exactly the time they said, 7:00 am. Two guys and they started work immediately. They were very conscious of not damaging my rug and would wear booties or laid down a tarp to walk on. One of my concerns was pulling the new supply line. They would have to go through a finished basement ceiling.Some contractors said they would have to rip a large section down; however, Signature only had to cut one 4 x 10 inch access hole to be able to pull the new line. A welcome relief. When I had a question of what they were doing, they were very friendly and took their time to explain it to me. They never took a break. They finished around 6:00 pm. They cleaned up every where they worked, from outside to inside my furnace room. The installation was great. Everything was neat and taped. They took a lot of time to make sure the system was functioning correctly before they left. They even called a scrap metal person to pick up the old unit and sheet metal. Bob came over about midway through the installation to make sure things were going ok and that I was satisfied. Overall, if you are looking for an AC or heating installation, you should at least ask Signature to come over and give you a proposal. His company, his people and the installation are all A+ and his price is fair. If you choose Signature, I think you would be quite happy you did.

Signature Solar handled everything from the design to the final switching on of the system. They were very knowledgeable, hands-on, and were involved in every aspect of the process including helping us with government incentives.

The men were cordial, and even wore booties on the job to protect the carpet from being soiled by their shoes. After installation, I was given a thorough overview of the system's functions. I highly recommend Signature Heating and Cooling.

I had called another company, Brandywine Heating and Air Conditioning, because they installed my units but they claimed they were too busy to service me (just some random customer). I called around and Signature said they could come out in a few hours. Turns out they were there in about two hours, identified the problem, had the part on hand in their truck and replaced the defective part. They showed me the defective part and it was pretty obviously defective so I know they were telling the truth. Overall, excellent service and very personable. The cost of the repair was a tad high (I felt) but given the heat and the desire to get this resolved quickly I couldn't complain. I had them replace all of the other company's stickers in the house with their own stickers so we will call them again in the future. 'Nuff said.
