Signature Heating, Air Conditioning and Geothermal

Everything was explained to me before any services were preformed. The technician answered all of my questions. I would use this company again! Very pleased with the service.

My AC stopped working...and I wanted a second opinion. I found Signature on Angie's List, and decided to call them to schedule a diagnostic ($20 thru Angie's List). Scott was the serviceman that came to my house about an hour ago. The first thing I noticed was his appearance, which was professional yet practical. He was very personable from start to end. As I mentioned, I contact Signature for a second opinion. I didn't trust the first "guy" because he used a lot of technical jargon when speaking to my wife, then me. Almost as if he was trying to confuse or intimidate us with his knowledge and recommendations based on his years of experience. Scott diagnosed the problem to be a faulty compressor, which is what the first "guy" said. However, Scott provided me with 1) an explanation that I could understand, and 2) several solutions to address the issue, and 3) the possible outcomes for each solution. He was also very patient with me because I asked if I was "hovering over" him too much. (He said, "No.) Another thing I liked: Scott did not force his recommended solution on me. He simply placed them in front of me for review. He also asked me for my feelings about his solutions. I'm a consultant, so i loved the fact that he asked that question because it showed he was truly focused on my needs and not the "sale" for Signature. The first company basically went to "you need a new HVAC system!" immediately. That put a lot of pressure on my wife at that time. He also didn't ask for how I felt about his ultimate solution. It was just, "I said this is what needs to be done. There are no other options." To bring this to the conclusion - I"ll need a new system. However, I still need to do what's best while making sure I get the best financial-firendly solution. Scott's client relationship skills were A+++!!!! If Signature ends up being more expensive than others, I may still go with Signature based on my interaction with Scott.

He arrived on time and was extremely courteous and knowledgeable. Completed the work in a very reasonable time and I would, definitely, have them back in the future.

Based on prior reviews, bought the tune-up deal through Angie's list. In less than an hour Signature called to schedule the appointment. Came out within a week. The office kept me apprised of the technician's arrival time. Lee, the technician, was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Thoroughly explained what he was going to do and the results of the maintenance check/tune-up. Overall, very professional operation. Will be using them going forward.

The technician arrived on time and was very professional. He spend nearly an hour tuning up the HVAC unit and recommended that we change out a capacitor which was reading low. He also changed our air filter, but used an extremely cheap filter which I immediately replaced myself.

I contracted Signature through an Angie's List deal. I was very impressed that they followed up on my purchase and contacted me to schedule the service. Everyone that I spoke to in the process was very helpful. Scott, the tech who came to my house, really worked to make sure I understood what he was doing and options available. He did a very thorough job. My system is more than 10 years old and had not been serviced in a couple of years. Not surprisingly, a part needed replacing and unfortunately it was of an unusual size. Scott and another tech who happened to stop by searched for the part and even found a generic one, saving me hundreds of dollars. He noticed a peculiarity in my system that he felt could be fixed, but did not pushed and seemed to understand my reluctance, given the age of my system and that it was not a huge issue. Overall, it was a good experience and I would contact them again should my system need work this summer or next spring for annual maintenance.

My complaint is what happened when the service tech found a capacitor that was functioning below standard. He called and asked me if I wanted it replaced. I'll give him credit, he made it clear it wasn't crucial, but I like my stuff to function properly, so I said to replace it. He said it would be $119. I don't know what a capacitor costs, but it literally took him 5 minutes to do the replacement, so my impression is he tacked on some service call charge to the price to make up for the relatively inexpensive "daily deal". But I OK'd it anyway, thinking a regular service call would have been about the same. When he called me for my credit card information to pay he said the charge was $140. When I asked why, he said he'd quoted me the price the company offers to their service plan customers, and since I wasn't on their service plan it was higher. I was quite busy at work and didn't have time to argue so I paid. Update on 5/31/2014: The service manager called me and refunded all of the extra I had been charged from the original quote, and then added an additional discount to make up for my troubles. He followed up after the transaction to make sure I was satisfied. Very professional and I would recommend this company to others.

I couldn't have asked for more. Scott was professional and courteous, cleaned and serviced both AC unites, answered all my questions thoroughly and even did a little trouble shooting on my hot water heater without extra charge. On top of that as he was leaving he noticed that my front door wasn't shutting properly so he fixed it, just because. Rarely have i ever experienced someone go above and beyond what is expected. That was out of the ballpark. I used the Angie's List coupon for both units which was more than a 50% savings and they treated me as if I was a premium customer. Thank you!!

I'm new to Angie's List and bought my first deal. I needed an AC check-up and also was looking for a maintenance contract. Joe, the technician, was very knowledgeable and personable. He performed the tune-up, and it went well, everything was in good working order. I also asked him about an unrelated issue, and he diagnosed the problem immediately which was very helpful. Bought the service contract from Signature as well

Tune up went well. Technician discovered there is leak that requires additional cost to diagnose and repair.

My initial experience with Signature HVAC, out of West Chester, was very positive. Jen, the scheduler was efficient and pleasant. The scheduling went without any problems. The technician, Scott S. was on-time and discuss with me what he intended to do at the site. He was quite personable and seemed to be quite knowlegable. He performed his job efficiently and explained to me a few of his recommendations he felt were necessary for the smooth functioning of my two systems. He, in no way, tried to pressure me into any extra work with extra costs. This initial contact went very well and I would have no problem having Signature & Scott return for next year's AC evaluation. As of my first contact with this company, I certainly would recommend them, and, highly recommend Scott S. my technician.

I feel Scott, the Signature service technician, was outstanding. He is the only technician who came in to do a tune-up on my heating and a/c unit who took the time to explain what he was doing and made helpful suggestions. I used a couple of different companies in the past, but no one ever did this for me. I appreciated his honesty and thoroughness and decided to take out a contract with Signature on the spot. I might add that I've never taken out a contract in the past. Scott showed me one part that needed to be replaced which he tested on his monitor so I could see it was needed. The service contract seems reasonably priced too. I asked Scott to please be my a/c and heating technician from now on.

The job that Lee Gilbert and the entire company of Signature Heating, Air Conditioning & Geothermal did was excellent, if I could give them a grade higher than an A I would, it was A++. First they were very understanding of my work schedule and they worked with me since I could not get done work until after 3pm and they worked with me on that and they also contacted me the next day after I contact them. So as a customer service point of view it was perfect (A++). Now for the technical part of the service, Lee Gilbert, did a perfect job. He told me how long it would take to do and asked me for the information on the unit, very polite by the way, from there he began to get to work on checking and cleaning the unit. I have lived in my home for over six years and I had this same thing done every year at the same time, but the other people from another company did not do half of the stuff that Lee did, plus they (the other company) charged more. Lee told me and showed me everything he was doing and made suggestion on what needs to be replaced or fixed. Very professional technician. In closing I am so highly please with both the technical and customer service part of Signature Heating, Air Conditioning & Geothermal that I am going to recommend them to everyone I know and to also ask for Lee Gilbert, he is a very pleasant and nice person to work with

Over all it was fine. I did have to call twice to get a details list of tasks that are completed for the tune-up faxed to me. Sales staff were friendly and did answer the call in a timely manner.

Scott from Signature Heating Service showed up right on time. I did get a call prior to arrival from their office. He was very knowledgeable and performed the tune up of heating and cooling systems. He was nice enough to remove debris (from a mouse) in the compressor and replace wires that were damaged by the animal. Thank you Signature and Scott for an excellent service. I would definitely recommend them.

Brought the deal and Scott was very good. He walked me through everything that he thought needed fixing in the house. I thought some of the pricing sounded high but his service was very good.

Did an all points inspection of HVAC unit. Replaced a worn part. Recharged system with 3 lbs of Freon. Encouraged enrolling in a service plan.

Scott was a very nice guy. He was thoughtful, explained the status of my 16 year old unit clearly to me, and did not suggest that it needed to be replaced. He pointed out a few things which I should monitor and made a suggestion on the addition of a water alarm that I could get and install myself from Home Depot. You won't go wrong working with Scott.

Lee did an excellent job with the servicing and explained the system and problems he identified well. Unfortunately, he noted significant problems with our system -- but the work he did was excellent.

The folks at Signature HVAC are top notch! Not only did they expertly perform the work, they were extremely clean and courteous. The work was performed at my 96 year old Father-in-law's house and they showed him great respect, answering all of his questions and putting up with him shadowing them as they did the job. He is not easy to please but he couldn't talk highly enough about the guys doing the job! Well Done!!!!

Scott and Lee arrived on time and were very professional. They explained what they would be doing. When they were finished they had a checklist and made some recommendations. They were also very nice.
