Signature Heating, Air Conditioning and Geothermal

Our Heater was 15 years old and our Central air was as old as the house (1985). I contacted three contractors to give me estiments. Bill from Signature came out and did a very thorough job of measuring and explaining how to pick the right size and efficiency of both the heating unit and the Central air unit. He also noticed that a tank less hot water heater that was installed by another contractor was not to code. (I contacted the other company, they agreed and came out to fix the problem). I had decided to replace the units now because of it being between seasons to get the best price and not wanting to be stuck replacing either of them mid winter or mid summer when it would have been very inconvenient, not to mention more expensive. Bill explained to me that if I was flexable to let them come in two days to install willing to pay cash(which I always do) he could get me an even bigger discount that I was already receiving for being an Angie's list member and the monthly discount Signature was offering at the time. They also filled out paperwork for $700.00 in rebates that we were eligible to from PECO. The installers arrived right on time and the job was finished in one day as promised. They also left no sign that they were there except for the new units. (They were extremely diligent about cleaning up). The non power humidifier that was in the quote was found to be insufficient for our house, so the more expensive powered humidifier was installed at no extra charge. We are extremely happy with the service we were provided with and the quote was not only spot on but we were upgraded humidifier wise at no extra charge.

With 20 year old boiler that hadn't been serviced in at least 4 years, I was bracing for the worse. Scott from Signature took me through the process and explained my system to me including do's and don'ts. He performed a full, thorough evaluation of the system and showed me how to tackle minor issues in between regular maintenance visits. He was prescriptive but not pushy in terms of upgrades to the system which I greatly appreciated.

Provider showed up approximaly 5 mins after the two hour agreed upon window and did not call ahead to indicate tardiness. Provider did implement seemingly good service and was knowledgeable and honest about his work and opinions. Since our whole HVAC unit is at the end of its life cycle, I am looking for a good provider to replace the unit. I set up a time for a sales man to come speak with us. On the day of the appointment the salesman missed the two hour window and called approximaly 10 mins after to say he was about 15 mins away. I explained I could not wait more that day and we would have to reschedule. The salesman apologized and assured me someone would call back an reschedule. It has been 5 months and, to date, no one has followed through. I am still looking for a provider to replace the whole HVAC but it won't be here!

Scott did a great job not only reviewing and cleaning the heating system, but he also took the time to explain what he was doing, and why. He was very professional, and I had confidence that he was knowledgeable and qualified.

Found Signature on Angie's List and paid $20 for diagnostic visit. A very nice young man came out the next day and spent 2 hours troubleshooting our system. He was frustrated he couldn't solve our problem of overheating and overcooling with an 8 degree temperature difference between thermostat setting and actual temp. So he called in the big guns and Joe showed up. Our problem had been going on for two years, with numerous calls to our existing contractor, all without success. Joe not only found the problem (a switch left on when the thermostat was replaced two years ago), but also solved a two decades-old issue of a too warm basement that no one had previously addressed. Seems when the system was installed, they cut a huge hole in the ductwork (not visible from below) and left it open! Joe patched the hole and voila! Problem solved. He charged a reasonable fee for the patch. We signed a contract with Signature immediately.

Overall, an excellent service experience. Their estimator broke the work down into separate components so that they could attempt to reuse as much equipment as possible, to minimize cost. That approach allowed for more flexibility as they progressed through the job. Their on-site technicians were great - professional, always on time, kept their work area and our house clean, and had excellent communication skills. Our experience with them on this work convinced us to sign on to their annual service program.

They took time to go over options with us to give us the biggest cost benefit over time, how to care for the system with proper filter replacement, and some details on using the new thermostat. Any time we've had a question since the installation, they have been extremely fast to help over the phone. Everyone we've worked with has been absolutely top notch.

Felt the technician did a very good job, was professional and seemed knowledgeable. Was happy enough with them that I signed up for their annual service plan for our aging heat pump system. I'm hoping all their technicians are as good and helpful.

The tech was late but called before hand to explain the delay (I appreciated that). He inspected and serviced my unitt and gave good insight to what was wrong and how to inexpensively keep my unit running. Didn't try to sell me stuff I didn't need and was clearly honest efficient. My unit has been running fine throughout this summer of heat waves!

I had Signature come out to take a look at the HVAC unit in my new home (the previous owners had used them for service). The tech did the agreed-upon work, and also found a small issue that would have interfered with the normal functioning of the unit. I was pleased with his work and will be using Signature in the future.

Among them, the representative from Signature did the most through job of explaining to me all the different options available and all the little extras that we will get for using their installation. And they also offer the best price for the package that we picked. After signing with them, scheduling the actual installation is a breeze. They are able to do the installation in just couple days. The installation team arrived early in the morning and get straight to work. They are very professional, polite and efficient. Everything was done by 4 pm. The system runs beautifully and we are confident that it will provide the comfort that we need for years. I will definitely use Signature for all my HVAC needs in the future.

Everything went well as expected, have been using Signature for several years, very thorough, trust worthy and professional. The two A/C units were serviced. One unit is very old, and refrigerant was added, and some issues were noted on the unit. Purchased a service contract for the unit. I believe the tech's name was Jason, or Joshua. Trying to remember. He was outstanding, thoroughly checked the units and reviewed with me what was done. Will have my heater's serviced in the Fall by Signature.

I was impressed with the professionalism and transparency with the technical service person attending to my home. I subsequently signed up for an annual maintenance contract.

He left a something open in the furnace and forgot to close it. Luckily, I found it and closed it before it became a problem.

Excellent. Wade did a terrific job . He found a potential problem with system and I was able to make simple changes to improve air flow to condenser to improve efficiency.

My AC wasn't working when I tuned it ON the first time after winter, I called up Signature heating to diagnose the problem. The person who came in was very quick in diagnosing the problem and had a replacement in his truck as well - just took less than 30 minutes to install the replacement and get the AC working again. They were punctual & professional. I would use them again.

They were very pleasant to work with. Were glad to honor the coupon and set up service immediately. They did everything they promised in a friendly and positive way. The service employee graciously gave his insight into the condition and expectations of the units going forward and did not push a service agreement but explained their services when asked. I had a very good experience with them.
