The price was part of our maintenance plan. Their pricing has always been good. They are signed up with us for taking care of our heating so they're on board to use them again. Just one guy came out. He was here about a hour and a half. Been with them for a number of years. They come out once a year to take care of cleaning our furnace and then as needed.

They're on contract; I am going to use them again.

It went very well. Workmanship and attention to detail were excellent. Clean-up during and after the project was completed was excellent.

We use them all the time. Apparently the hot water heater was hard to find and they found it. My husband seemed to think the price was reasonable. They were extremely prompt and able to get what we needed. Cleaned up after themselves and were pleasant.

During a previous service by Sheller to fix another problem, I was also told by the technician that the aquastat was malfunctioning and needed to be replaced, and this would cost around $300. Since he said it wasn't preventing adequate function of my boiler, I declined to do this replacement right then due to the expense. Subsequently I did some online research on the type of old Honeywell aquastat I had (although I didn't know the exact model), and saw that even the most expensive model like mine cost $148. So $300 sounded reasonable for parts plus labor. I subsequently scheduled the replacement, and repeated while scheduling that my understanding was that the cost would be around $300, and was told yes, around $300. During the service call, I saw the model number and checked online for the cost, and saw that that model was readily available for around $128. I was very surprised when the technician handed me the service sheet to sign., and the total cost was $451. After I received Sheller's invoice, showing an $89 diagnostic charge and a $362 charge for the aquastat, I called and talked to the service manager, and told him what I'd been told about the cost, and that these charges seemed excessive. He replied that the $89 was a 'trip charge', and if I had had the aquastat replaced at the earlier service call, I would've saved that extra expense. If I had known that Sheller's charge was $450 instead of around $300, I would've ordered the part online myself and had my plumber install it, and saved over $100. To charge both a trip charge and a labor charge is excessive, especially since this company is about 10 minutes away from my house. Their work is very good, they are very reliable, but they are high-priced. If you need service, be sure to shop around before engaging them. And when you ask them for a ballpark estimate, be sure to ask what other charges they'll add on.

They did not honor this deal, when market price went down they charged us above fair price. It was about 34 cents above what everyone else was charging. They also did poor work when they sent a mechanic out to work on the furnace. The company was very rude.

I had to fill my 275g heating oil tank. I shopped around 3 different oil companies. I ended up going with Sheller because the previous home owner used them, they got good reviews, and mainly because they let me create a budget plan. Normally if you don't do automatic fillings you can't so a budget plan, but Sheller allows you too. They also provide a 10 cent discount for just paying monthly payments on time. They worked around my schedule, showed up on the dot, and was very informative.

We have used their services for one year. Scheduling with them is automatic, they base the delivery off of past usage and weather so you never have to schedule the delivery.
