Russ was quick to respond and brought various wood samples to the house. After several quotes, and shopping at many flooring stores, we had Russ purchase the wood and perform the install. Russ is very knowledgeable about wood flooring and steered us to the best option and best value. He was dedicated to providing us with a quality installation and went the extra mile to deliver. We accidentally scratched the new flooring when moving furniture into the first completed room. Russ was able to cut and replace the scratched boards. We offered to pay for this extra effort, but Russ declined to charge for the work. We look forward to working with Russ again on some additional rooms!

Russ was very quick to respond. He came over for a review of the wood, discussion on the process and an estimate. He & Josh were punctual to the minute everyday of the 3-day process. I found Russ to be very knowledgeable about all types of flooring and eager to answer all of my questions. He & Josh were very professional and efficient. I didn't expect to change the stain color of the wood but Russ showed me photos of his completed projects and I decided to go with a darker stain. He was right! The floor is gorgeous and as my neighbors walk by, I invited them to see the 'new' center hall. I would recommend Russ to anyone needing refinishing or installation of flooring.

My stairs look amazing. Russ and Josh did an amazing job matching the color to my existing flooring. They were so courteous, knowledgeable, and responsive. Russ would make sure to explain every step of the process to make sure I knew what was going on. I loved working with them so much (and seriously, the stairs look wonderful) that I hired them to buff and re-polish my floors a couple of weeks later. My first floor looks beautiful. They really brought the life back into our floors. They were starting to look a little tired, but now they look like new - without having to damage the floors by sanding and restaining. They made the entire process as easy and as painfree for me as possible. They even repaired a patch of rotten floorboards and a few with holes in them. I can't wait to hire them again to do my 2nd floor eventually! True professionals that take pride in the work that they do. It really shows.

GREAT WORK. As a hobby, I've bought, restored, lived in, and sold historic properties my whole life. I'm not a contractor or real estate agent, just someone who appreciates restoring old properties. I found RJM flooring through Angies List. At the time when I began the search for a floor refinisher, RJM flooring had earned 39 "A" ratings. And now that the job is complete, I can see why Russell Mort's company only gets "A" ratings. The work is fabulous. I wanted the floors to have the "amber" patina characteristic of aging wood floors under an oil-based finish. Today's water-based floor coatings offer many advantages over oil-based finishes such as faster-dry times and low odor. But they don't have the yellow glow of an old, carefully maintained wood floor which in all fairness, some people despise. RJM's solution was to first apply a coat of fast-drying oil-based sealer to get the "aged" patina, followed by two coats water-based urethane. I requested that the urethane be a durable as possible. I had heard about the newer two-part urethane finishes that are harder than the typical polyurethane finishes. These newer two-part finishes require special skills and know how to use, and I was delighted to hear than RJM uses the two-part finishes all the time. RJM is the simply the best hardwood flooring contractor I have ever used, They do not cut corners. They are total professionals - craftspeople at their trade. After Russ had finished the final coat, one of my dogs pranced all over the floors leaving wonderful paw prints before the finish had dried. I called Russ and blamed the mishap on the dog (of course) even though I forgot the dog was inside instead of outside. I asked how much would it cost to lightly sand the floors and apply one more coat of the two-part finish. To my surprise, Russ said he would do it for free, except for the cost of materials. Wow.

The job was competed without any issues. Russ ordered the material and scheduled quickly after the material arrived. Him and his helper were able to punch out the whole floor in a couple days with complete professionalism. They fully cleaned up after themselves and everything looks great. Months later we have no issues with the flooring. I would definitely hire him again for future projects and would fully recommend him.

My floors turned out to be beautiful. The most heavily damaged areas were vastly improved and mostly not noticeable. Russ is reliable, honest, takes pride in his work, and the cost was reasonable for the work performed. Highly recommend this business.

Russ was referred to us through a local carpet company in Roxborough. I had spoken with a few other flooring specialists who focused on refinishing but found that none of them were very reliable or communicative. This was not the case with Russ. Russ returned all of my calls and answered my questions. He came out to give a free estimate and worked with my wife and me to problem solve a few unique issues with rotten boards and stairs. He has so much experience that he quickly came up with cost effective solutions. When we told him that we were hoping to have the floors completed in 2 to 3 weeks due to our impending move date, he told us that he would have to turn down the job because of tentative work and family conflicts. We were very disappointed because he was obviously extremely knowledgable and very friendly. He said that he would check with some of his colleagues including his mentor to see if they had time to take the job and two hours later he called back and said that he was able move some things around and he could start in 3 days. Once the work began, Russ contacted us frequently to talk about our preferences and to update us with progress. He also helped us strategize a couple of projects that weren't related to the floors. He generously allowed us to use some tools he had on hand for a few other projects as well. In the end, our floors are beautiful. They are smooth and not wavy as can happen when you have a novice manning the belt sander. There was very little dust because of the brand new dust collection system Russ has invested in.

Our floors look and feel as if they are brand new! The floor brings the entire room to life. Not only did RJM Flooring finish our floors, they also installed both the door trim & base trim after the job. They gave us several options along with pricing. This allowed my wife and I to pick the one best to suit our needs. The whole process took a total of 16 hours over the course of 3 days for our 17' x 13' guest room. We will definitely be hiring them again to do the floors in our downstairs. I have added pictures to show just how great of a job they did! I highly recommend RJM Flooring LLC!

Russ was prompt, professional, and did a great job with our floors. The refinished floors matched our other, newer floors perfectly. The rooms were left clean and our furniture was put back in place once the job was finished. We were very happy with the work process and the result.

Excellent....working with Russ was a pure pleasure. He and his helper were on time each day of the project, very courteous and extremely professional. Refinishing floors involves consecutive days of work and Russ made it as easy as possible. In addition, he explained every step of the process and what was going to be accomplish each day. I cannot stress how much we enjoyed having Russ in our home, how beautiful the project turned out and the professionalism he brought to the project. As an additional note , Russ came right out to fixed a cross board that was split when the rug installers cracked it. He replaced the board, stained the new material to match, installed it and didn't charge us. THAT'S FIRST CLASS SERVICE!!!

I am so pleased with the work Russ did installing Laminate floors thru out my whole entire down stairs. Not only did he do an excellent job but he was very informative with explaining every little detail. I had other estimates and hands down Russ was the most professional and reasonable one out of all 3 of them. I had a senior dog that passed away a few months ago and I was really embarrassed in the condition of the old rugs. Russ reassured me that it was not a problem and made me feel really comfortable. The job took a couple days and every day he showed up on time. Russ had a helper Josh and for a young man he was a hard worker and respectful. I know in the future if I need floors installed again I'm definitely calling Russ. I 100% recommend RJM Flooring.
